Our Fantastic Fifth Day!
On Monday, we enjoyed our first of three days at Disneyland. It was a little cool that morning, but once the sun came out it was a beautiful day! Before heading to the park, we had breakfast at our hotel. Which was nice, since it was complimentary! We then drove our van to the park, but it took us awhile to figure out where we were supposed to go to park! After figuring it out and paying $14 to park, then taking a tram from the parking garage, we eventually found our way to the front gates of Disneyland!
Once inside, we ran right into a few of the Disney Characters that the kids love, including Goofy!
It was nice that neither Carson or Kaylee were afraid of the characters. In fact, Kaylee her own little photogenic self. Except this funny picture of them and Pluto...from the look on her face she wasn't too sure of him.
But once we saw Mickey Mouse, she was all smiles!!!
Then we got to meet the Fairies from Tinkerbell!
And Tink herself!!!
Here is Kaylee posing for the camera in my shades! What a cutie!!!
Of course we had to go on the Tea Cups!! Dad did a great job getting the thing spinning fast! But that is how the kids liked it! Super fast!!!
Probably one of my most favorite moments (besides Kaylee meeting Curious George) was when Kaylee met Winnie the Pooh. A few months ago, she started watching Winnie the Pooh movies on VHS we had found at the DI. She now LOVES pooh and tigger and piglet and all the other characters from the show. So she was excited to see pooh in real life!
And of course, Tigger too!!!
We left the park around 6:00 to make it back to the hotel for dinner, which was also complimentary, and so the kids could also go swimming. They had been begging us most of the day to go swimming! The hotel was amazing. It had a great pool area and Carson thought our room was "so pretty". It had a kitchen and family room, separate from the bedroom and bath. It was a great place to stay for our family. But I think they liked the pool the best. It had a big pool, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub. During they day Carson told us that he wanted to swim in the "Cat" pool. It took us a minute to figure out that he was talking about the Kiddie (Kitty) pool. He makes us laugh!!! So after dinner, Dad took the kids swimming while I made a trip to Walmart for some more Milk and other groceries we needed. Thank goodness for a kitchen! We were getting tired of keeping our cooler full of ice! Before I left, I took a picture of them in their suits....is that cute or what?!?! I am not sure if you can tell or not, but Kaylee is wearing her 'Princess' swim suit she picked out herself at Target. How can you tell a little girl no to that?
