My Cute Valentines

Preston was so excited to go to his Preschool Valentine Party Tuesday morning, but after I got home from choir, we got a text saying his teacher was sick so they wouldn't have school the rest of the week.  I was a little sad for him, but he was happy to just stay home and relax!  We did spend lunch at McDonald's with friends.
We had Valentine's themed dance classes Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  And had a great Valentine's day on Wednesday.  Kaylee had spent the whole weekend making her Tiki Bar box with her friend Brooklyn.  They were so creative and did all the work themselves!  They turned out cute and the girls were excited to take their boxes to school.  Nick had left us a chocolate treat surprise before he left for work.  I also came home from dance to some chocolate dipped strawberries!  Yum!!

Overall it was a fun, loving day.  Carson got a flower and cookie at school from a "Secret Admirer".  And Preston will get to have his Valentine Party next week!
Not Valentine related, but I went in to the dermatologist this morning after choir and got a mole removed off my left thigh.  I had gone in last Monday for it to be tested and it came back atypical.  So within 20 minutes they had it all removed!  It was slick and it doesn't even hurt!  The down side is that I can't workout for 10 days.  Bummer.  But I will enjoy the break since I am trying to get over a head cold now!

Eli's Baptism

Nick worked Saturday, but when he got home we took the girls with us to Eli McConkie's Baptism.  We actually had three kids from our ward get baptized.  Crew, Aria and Eli.  It was a great evening!  We enjoyed some dessert at the McConkie's afterwards.  We love our neighbors!

Speaking of family, we were able to enjoy dinner with my family Sunday evening after church.  Matt smoked some brisket and it was amazing!!!  Yum!!  I think I ate enough food for the next two weeks!

We got home Sunday night and got the kids in bed and I was able to start on our taxes.  I decided to try and do them ourselves this year.  It wasn't too hard and I think I got everything correct so I am pleased!  We had an early morning with Kaylee heading to Orchestra, I took carpool to the Jr. High and dropped Alivia off at school.  I was able to sneak in a shower before taking Preston to school.  He likes to be early so he can play with his friends before the garage door opens.  Then I have 2 1/2 hours to get as much as I can done before he needs to be picked up.  Today it was laundry, dishes, balancing the checkbook, curling my hair, taking Alivia's rx to her at school since she missed her dose this morning, and then mopping the floor.  Phew!!

Preston has been doing the Upstart this year online.  It is an online program that is like preschool that the state sponsors.  It is free, but he has to do at least 15 min a day 5 days a week.  He is doing great and hardly misses a day.  And he is getting so smart!!!!  He also does it so I will let him play on the computer after.

Rub a dub dub....we have a tub!

Alivia and Preston are either best friends or best enemies!  But I would say for the most part they get along great!  Friday after school, they played well together and Alivia told me Preston was her best brother (no offense Carson).  They play a game on the treadmill and pretend they are on the Odd Squad and they use the belt to beam themselves to where ever they are going.  It is cute.  We dropped the older kids off to ballroom dance and met Nick at Home Depot to pick up a tub and some more lumber for the downstairs bathroom.  The kids were hilarious!

We picked up the kids from dance, had spaghetti for dinner and then headed to Idle Isle Chocolates in Brigham City for a Modern Woodman social.  Yum!!!  We stopped at walmart to pick up some valentines and box decorating stuff.  It sure adds up when you have to buy for 4 kids!!!  Sure love them though!!
Alivia was so excited to get up on Saturday and decorate her box and Carson was sweet to help her.

It turned out super cute!!  Kaylee spent most of the day at her friend Brooklyn's house working on her Vday box.  I will post a picture soon.  They are supposed to finish it today after school.

Pom Pom Party!

We are learning a new show in PA and the girls are picking it up great!  We get to use the cutest pom poms for the finale!  We have had a lot of fun in classes!!!  After class Wednesday, I picked up Alivia at her new tumbling class and was able to stop in to the tshirt shop next door and look at some shirts we want to print up for Disneyland.  I have been super busy doing a lot of emails and tracking for all of our Disneyland students and it is getting me excited to take our family in June!!  It can't come fast enough!

Thursday, Michelle and I went to the temple while Preston was at preschool.  It was standing room only!  But we still made good time and we had a great morning!  That night we also went to the Stake Women's conference.  It was amazing!  The speaker was Dr. Hull.  He was an OBGYN who was paralyzed after a trampoline accident.  He went on to being able to walk again and over the past 16 years created an amazing rehab for spinal chord injuries called Neuroworks.  He has an amazing story!  Kaylee was even able to come!  It was a nice evening.  Nick spent Thursday in Holden for a friend's funeral.  He made it home just in time for scouts!
Oh and we also had Parent Teacher Conferences for Alivia and Kaylee.  They are doing amazing at school!

Billboard Walls

Alivia showed her school pride last week at school!  She looked so cute, so I had to take pictures, but she was being very silly and I got a bunch of silly pictures!

Friday night, Nick and Carson camped a the klondike (I will try and post pics soon).  Saturday, I spent some time doing choreography with Laura.  Then Saturday night Nick and I went out to dinner at Bella's with a bunch of friends from the ward and then attended the Adult session of stake conference.  Sunday, we spent the afternoon actually cleaning and organizing our basement since we finally had time at home all together!  Nick had used a billboard to wrap the walls until we can get some sheetrock on them!  Very clever I guess!

Preston's Invention

Our weeks are always crazy with early mornings, carpooling, running kids around town, and always going a million miles an hour!  But we love it and I wouldn't change it a bit!  Alivia is such a sweetie and I swear she just gets cuter every day!  Yesterday, while I was doing my hair, Preston came in and put together his 'invention'.  It holds everything I need to do my hair!  He was so proud of himself for putting it together!

We had another great early morning practice at bells.  Then I dropped Preston off to preschool and headed to the temple with some friends for my weekly temple day.  It is so enjoyable, even though it is hard to go knowing I have SO much to do, but I know it makes my day so much better when I go.

We had a busy afternoon with a quick trip to Bountiful, piano lessons, and homework!!

Happy 10th Birthday Kaylee!

Kaylee turned 10 on Tuesday!!!  She got a birthday package from Grandma on Monday.  She actually had come home feeling a little sick from school, so she was home when it was delivered.  She was excited to open it and find a hand knitted sweater!  Grandma Karen is always so thoughtful!  Tuesday, Preston woke up with a fever, so Nick went into work late so I could go to handbell practice, but it made it possible for him to have breakfast with her and the kids.

We went to handbell practice, which she gets to be a part of.  It is sounding so great!  And I am so proud of all of the kids that are playing "Pirates".

I checked her out for lunch so we could go to Arby's.  Yum!!!

Our Tuesdays are pretty busy, but we had a lot of fun celebrating Kaylee throughout the day.  She took Twinkies to school and then took cupcakes to dance.  She requested manicotti for dinner, which we all enjoyed.  And then had cake for dessert.

I still can't believe she is already a decade old!  She has brought so much love and joy to our lives!  We can't imagine our lives without her!  Happy Birthday Kaylee!
