Hot Tub Time!

Last Friday, while we were out and about getting the estimate done to fix the van, we decided to get lunch at Chik-Fil-A using our free meal cards we got last month.  Brittany M. and her kids joined us!  It was fun to get out of the house for a bit and just play!
That night, we headed down to Wood Cross to do pizza and some hot tubbin' with the Tanners.  The kids had a blast!  It was so much fun and it was good to just hang out with friends and let the kids play.  They didn't want to leave it was so much fun!

We sure miss our friends from Woods Cross!  On Saturday, the kids enjoyed the sunshine and we spent the day working on our talks.  We had been asked to speak in church on Sunday.  Not how I wanted to spend our day, but it was good that we didn't have too much planned.  Carson and Nick went with my parents to the BYU basketball game that night.  So the rest of the kids and I had a night in watching a movie.  They also dressed up and pretended to go to Hawaii.  They even made a beach in Alivia's room.  It was comical!  We got through our talks on Sunday and I think it went well.  Carson & Kaylee wrote their own talks and did such a good job!  I am just glad to have that over with!  After church, we loaded up in the van to head to Matt & Nat's for dinner and had all the kids buckled in ready to go, when Preston decided to throw up!!!  It was horrible!!  And so sad for the rest of us who now couldn't go to dinner at Matt's.  So we stayed home and ended up having a breakfast casserole.  Not the way I was planning our Sunday to go, but we made it work.  He spent the next day taking it easy, but wasn't sick other than that time.  Luckily, so far no one else has gotten sick!  Let's hope it stays that way!

President's Day Week

For President's Day, we spent the morning in South Jordan at a Endocrinologist appointment for Kayele.  Her doctor recommend we see this doctor and establish Kaylee as a patient with Dr. Swinyard so she can see him in Ogden when he comes here.  She will need to see him regularly to make sure she is growing like she should and her thyroid levels are where they need to be.  On our way home, we stopped at Ikea and did a little shopping for some house organization!  We had fun trying out all the furniture.  We just slowly strolled through the store and enjoyed it!  The weather has started to warm up and the kids have loved being outside, but man it is muddy!!!!!  Can't wait to get our yard in!

We had a busy week of preschool, school, dance, and a trip to the hospital to get Kaylee's blood drawn and an xray of her hand for charting her growth.

When we got home, the kids set up camp in the driveway and enjoyed the rest of the day until the sun went down.  They are so funny!
Carson spent one evening putting down the new flooring for my workout room.  It looks great!  Now I just need to hook up the dvd player to the tv and we will be in business!
On Thursday, I was dropping off Aliva, Sawyer and Mercedez to Preschool and it had been snowing for a bit.  It was slick and it made us a little late for Preschool, but we made it there 5 minutes late.  I pulled up and noticed a truck in the driveway, but figured it was someone there for something else, since there is a strict policy on how to drop off the kids.  I pulled up as far as I could and still let the kids out in the driveway, thinking I wouldn't be in the trucks way, especially because if he needed to leave, he could wait the 1 minute it takes to drop off the kids.  I had just opened the door to let Livy out when the white backup lights on the truck lit up.  I thought that was his way of telling me he was ready to back up and leave, so I thought ok, I will just hurry and get the kids out and then go.  But before I knew it, he started backing up, so I grabbed Livy out of the way and he just kept going even though I was trying to tell him to stop and another mom behind me was honking her horn.  He hit the back of my van as the other two kids were trying to get out.  Preston was still in the van and later told me "I hate that guy!".  Haha!  He got out of the truck and started apologizing and I gave him an ear full about him almost hitting the kids and how he wasn't supposed to be in the driveway to begin with.  He thought he was late and was the only one there.  There was 3 of us moms that were late because of the snow.  Long story short, I took my van in for a quote repair and his insurance took responsibility so we actually ended up just taking a payout for the damages, since our van is barely worth more than what it would cost to fix it!  It made for a crazy day!  I had to rush over to the school right after it had happened for Carson's maturation program.  On top of that, I had spent time doing my hair that morning, but it had snowed during the whole ordeal and my hair got totally wet and ruined!!!
I pulled my hair back and kept going!  That night, we hosted another thrive party at our house and had some yummy taco soup!  It was good.
And finally some more pictures of our crazy life every morning...even including swimming suits.

Valentine's Weekend!

Lately, I have been working out in the morning so I have the rest of my day to get things done, but after a long night on Tuesday, I slept in a did my workout after the older kids went to school.  I love that my kids are pretty good about keeping themselves entertained so I can get my workout done with minimal interruptions.  But my stretch usually involves Preston.  He is so funny!

On Friday, Mayci and Cooper came while Ris & Justin took Makenzie to St. George for a soccer tournament.  Kaylee was sick in bed all day after throwing up in the middle of the night.  Which was super sad, since she had a valentine party at school and had worked on a valentine's box.  So I sent her box and valentines with Carson so she could at least participate in some way.  Since she was sick, Mayci and Alivia played together and they had so much fun!  We loved having them here!  I loved doing Mayci's beautiful hair!  She is just adorable!
We ended up keeping them Saturday.  I had found some strawberries on sale for $1.25 a lb so we spent the morning making some dipped strawberries and bread.   Yum!  The kids helped devour the strawberries.  I had bought 8 lbs and they were gone by Sunday.  Carson and Kaylee had a ballroom Vday party, but since Kaylee was still sick, Mayci went with Carson.  They had a blast!

The plan was to have my mom & dad take Cooper and Mayci with them to Huntvsille to listen to Matt & Natalie speak in church and have dinner afterwards, but since they were around Kaylee, who was sick, we all agreed to keep them with us.  So they both came to church with us, while Nick, Kaylee, and Preston stayed home.
They passed out super big yummy cookies after primary, which made for a super fun Valentine's day.  We didn't do anything too fancy for Vday, but with all the class parties, we had plenty of chocolate and candy to enjoy!

Valentine's Day Cookies

We were invited over to Morgan's on Wednesday to frost some sugar cookies for Vday.  The kids had a blast and the cookies were especially yummy!  It was a fun afternoon and Kaylee went to her first day of Activity Days.  She had a blast!!!

The kids spent that night working on their valentines for the classmates.  Alivia put her name herself on every valentine she passed out. It was so cute!  She had a valentine party on Thursday and came home with the cutest puzzle heart picture.

Super Bowl & National Pizza Day

We had a fun Sunday after Kaylee was baptized.  She was presented in Sacrament Meeting and we did a fun "Primary Bowl" singing time for primary since it was the Super Bowl that day.  After church we went to the Jeppson's to watch the game and eat yummy food!  We were having so much fun I forgot to take a picture!

The following Monday, we had an early day with an Ortho appt for Carson.  I had to take breakfast to go, and my shake was perfect for that!

Preston has been working on his winking and has gotten it down pretty good!
Tuesday we had a busy day with Talking time, school, dance and national pizza day!  So of course, we had pizza for dinner!  Homemade bbq pork (still using all the leftover pork from Kaylee's Baptism) and ham & cheese.
