Happy Halloween!!

We didn't have school last Friday, so we took advantage of that and held a special bell practice for Far Far Away with some of our choir students.  It was so fun getting back to teaching bells.  Then Friday night, Nick and I were able to go to dinner with Tiffany & Tovey Ashby at Texas Roadhouse.  They are so fun to be with !  We also did a quick shopping trip to Ross and got some new suitcases for our upcoming trip!  Which was a last minute plan...but more on that soon.

Saturday, we had our video shoot for "Bete/Drummerboy" and it went great.  I was worried it would be really cold, but it was actually warm once the sun was out!  I took Kaylee to get her hair styled, since she was a soloist and she looked great! (I didn't really get an after picture, but it was awesome).  The video went great and we went just a little over time, but I think it went pretty smooth overall.

After the video, we got ready for Halloween night.  We got the pumpkins put out (that the kids carved the night before while Nick and I were on our date!).  I was so exhausted though, so when the kids left to go trick or treating, I left out a bowl of candy and took a bath.  Kaylee went with Ruby and her cute cousin.  Alivia when with Allie and Carson and Preston went out for a bit!  I was SOO tired from the crazy day (and the fact that I didn't get much sleep stressing over the video shoot).  So happy October is over!  Bring on the holidays!

Halloween Party!

Even though the boys were home for Halloween and Kaylee is too old for class parties, Alivia got to have a class Halloween Party!  I was able to go for an hour and help since I am an employee.  They have not allowed parent volunteers this year because of Covid.  The PTA did a really good job and gave each class a party in a box!  They played candy corn games, built play-doh monsters, had a dance party and enjoyed yummy treats from a paper pumpkin.  Even with Covid...these kids are making the best of it and it was good to see them enjoy some normal holiday celebrating!

Lunch Dates & Pickleball

I was so happy to finally feel well enough to start working out again!  I even had Preston do some "PE" to keep him moving and active.

Last week, Carson had an appt in Bountiful so I dropped him off and Preston and I had a mini lunch date at Panda.  Well, he had Panda, I waited for Carson to eat lunch with him at Smokin' Bones.  It was so delicious!  We had my favorite pulled pork pizza!  Yum!

On Thursday last week, Alivia had a Halloween Party for her class (they had a teacher prep day Friday so no school).  I dropped her off and then headed to play pickleball with the ladies for a few hours.  It was so fun!!!  this will  be a weekly thing for a few months and I am so excited about it!

Choir Happenings!

With choir back to normal, we started getting ready for our next video shoot for Bete/Drummerboy.  We also had our "You are the Reason" cover video come out!  It turned out so amazing!  You can check it out here:  https://youtu.be/dHvBbRTlQWo

We loved showing the kids the video, before it was released to everyone.  We also found an amazing location for the Bete shoot!  And it is just right off of Pleasant View drive!  We were able to get approval from the owner to shoot there and I can't wait to see how that turns out.

Just a quick picture of the walnut Preston gave to me...it has a heart in it!  And a cute picture of Alivia finally able to go back to school!

We also took soloists into the studio to record for "Bete" which Kaylee got a solo in because one of my soloists last minute got quarantined.  So sad, but I guess good news for Kaylee.
We spent the next morning recording the rest of the choir on Bete.  They did great!!  And it was just a start of a very busy day!  We had our video shoot for "Last Christmas" and it was so much fun!  And a little chilly, but so great!
The kids had a trunk or treat that afternoon for our ward and Kaylee was creative and decorated the back of the Nissan for it!  Haha!

Our Christmas video was so fun and we can't wait to see how it turns out!

Back to Life!

We had plans to go to Zions for fall break, but since Nick was now sick and all but myself, was in quarantine, we ended up staying home.  So we worked on choir stuff instead.  I was able to finally venture out of the house with Katie & Melissa and pick out some fabric for our Bete video shoot.  I took Carson & Preston in for another test on Friday (negative again), and did some driving in the BMW with Carson.  Just some more pictures of our quarantine life!  But at least we slowly started getting back to our normal life.
