Christmas Eve

We woke up to snow on Monday morning!  The kids were in heaven and were up too early to go play in it!  Nick spend hours....yes hours, snow blowing everyone's driveways with his new (new to us anyway) snowblower.  After we got cleaned up, we met up with the Neslens for an afternoon movie at the Cinepoint.  We watched "Smallfoot" and it was adorable!  We enjoyed it and had a great time.

After the movie, we got home and the kids were anxious to open their pj's, so we did that before we had dinner.  We made pancakes, sausage and eggs.  Yum!  Then we played knock your neighbor and cornhole.  Gma & Gpa had given that to us on Friday, when we met them at Maddox.  It was a hit and all of us could play!

The kids looked adorable in their pajamas and were begging to go to bed early, but we did watch a few shows on netflix before finally getting them to bed around 9.  I told them to sleep in, but knew it was probably not going to happen!  Love Christmas Eve!!!

Christmas Sunday

We went to Sacrament Meeting on Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful music program.  I always love Christmas time at church!  The rest of the year is great, don't get me wrong, but I love the music and the talks that come with Christmas.

We also love to go to see our friends there!  Even the ones in other wards, like cute Reese, Alivia's friend!  She is in the 6th ward!  And they meet right after us.
We enjoyed the rest of Christmas "Adam" (The kid's nickname for the day before Christmas Eve).  We had visitors almost non stop dropping off cute gifts and treats.  Loved it!  The kids also opened up one gift that included glue and detergent to make slime!  We also had the Neslens over for dinner and some games.  It was so fun!  They also shared a fun advent activity with us that talked about the birth of Jesus.  It was a perfect way to end our Sunday.  We love our friends!

Now that's a Steak!

Friday evening we had the most wonderful dinner with my parents at Maddox.  It was so great!  We had a gift card we needed to use from Nick's birthday, last year!  So we invited my parents to dinner.  We planned on taking them, but when we got there, my mom said she had a coupon to use for "A meal for 2" that she got from the district.  Since there were no restrictions, we used it for Nick and Gpa's meal.  Nick order the Porterhouse and my dad ordered another yummy expensive steak.  This steak was the size of Nick's head!!  It was crazy!  We all left with a free meal, the waitress got a great tip and the restaurant made a killing!  So it was a win win for everyone!  It sure made for a fantastic night!

When we got home, the kids were lined up with chocolate in their hands for us, a clean kitchen, a candle burning and a sweet note form the kids.  I think they really want Santa to come!  It sure made us happy parents!
Saturday, we had some cleaning to do and errands to run.  I had done the girls hair the same and Alivia looked adorable!  The kids helped us pass out wrapping paper to all of our friends and neighbors.  We had about 72 total to deliver!  It was a fun little project!

We then headed to do some shopping in Layton and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  It was awesome!  We called ahead so our wait was short compared to the handful of people crammed into the front of the restaurant.  We had a great waiter and the kids left super full.  I love that place!

School Sing a Long!

On Thursday, the school had its Parent's Performance for all the grades.  As a Music Teacher for 2nd and 5th, we worked on songs the past little bit to perform.  I also volunteered to help the kindergarten sing a fun song.  They sang a funky version of "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer".  They all dressed up and looked super cute.  I didn't get a picture of the whole grade, but at least of Preston.
I also got a few pictures of my cute friends I get to direct and teach with.  Connie showed up wearing an elf dress because she thought it was the sing a long (that was the next day).  It was so funny, but she looked cute!

After the parent's performance, I stayed and taught 5th grade music, then met up with the Modern Woodman Board at Chili's for our lunch meeting.  Then after school, we all went and helped clean Carson's school.  Preston thought it was a ton of fun!  Then, that night, I went a super fun friends party at Nicole Breaggar's house.  It was so fun, and we all stayed too late, but it was totally worth it.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!  Love my cute friends!!!

On Friday, we had a sing a long at the school, which is always a hit with everyone.  Kaylee also had her party in 5th grade and it was early out.  We finished the afternoon off with a trip to the dentist and a pledge to do better flossing!
