October Fun...

We went to the park today with some friends to let the kids enjoy one of the last warm fall days of the year. We had so much fun! The boys have such a blast playing with each other!
So here are just a few pictures of what we have done the past few days to get ready for Halloween...we carved pumpkins with our friends....it was fun this year since Carson actually was willing to stick his hand in the pumpkin. He thought it was so cool!

We also had more friends over during the day and let the kids make and decorate sugar cookies...they were so yummy....I think I hate half of the cookies myself! :)

Tonight for dinner we had pancakes...not just any pancakes...Pumpkin Pancakes!

I think we are ready for all the fun we will have tomorrow...bring on the CANDY!!!

Nine months later...

When you are pregnant, 40 weeks/9 months seems like it will take forever to pass, but once your baby is here, you look back and realize it actually went buy pretty fast. You don't realize how fast time really flies until your baby turns 9 months, and you realize that the past 9 months went by even faster then when you were pregnant! I was looking through the pictures of when Kaylee was born, and I am amazed on how fast she has grown. She is doing new things everyday, and it is so fun to watch her blossom! It reminds me of how fun it was watching Carson grow during his first year. Today marks Kaylee's 9 month birthday. Wow!! NINE MONTHS! We had a good day today, and I want to share the pictures I took of her and show you just how big she is getting.
They are just so tiny and delicate when they are born...and then they get their personality....
And learn to play....
And Crawl...
And Climb...
And little girls have a way of looking at you....that makes you smile....
They become characters...
And they continue to grow bigger...
Yes, Kaylee has learned to pull herself up in her crib, so we tested the middle level, and felt she would be the safest with her crib set all of the way to the bottom. What a milestone...
We love you Kbug!!

Our Family...

Since Kaylee was born, we haven't really taken a family picture, that was taken with the purpose of hanging in a frame on a wall. So it was nice to finally get some taken. My wonderful friends Katie and Jana took the pictures, not once, but twice. The first attempt was way to sunny and there were shadows, so they were nice enough to help me with them again since not all of them turned out the first time. Thanks to Melissa who also helped out!! I have leared quite a bit from them on how to use my photoshop. So I have played with them a bit to add a little something extra to make them look good. I still want to take some of just the kids, so maybe by next year that will happen! :)

A 'Spook'tacular Weekend

What a fun weekend! We have the best Aunt and Uncle!! We dropped the kids off at Matt & Nat's house on Friday for a sleepover, while Nick and I attended a friend Halloween Party in our neighborhood. Not only did Matt & Nat let them sleep over, but they took them to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden for a trick or treat night. Everyone that goes dresses up in their costumes, they give out candy, and get to see all the dinosaurs! It sounded like they had a blast! Carson was a little afraid at first of the dinosaurs, but once he realized they weren't real, he did great! And, he had his pirate sword just in case! Thanks Matt & Nat for being so willing to watch the kids. You are the BEST!!! And thanks for the fun pictures!!

And the of course, the party....It was so much fun! Jen did such a great job planning it! There was a great turn out, and they costumes were so creative! I felt very lame, since our costumes were not very fancy, (We were Edward and Bella from the Twilight Series!). Maybe next year I will put forth a little bit more effort in the costume department. Here are some pictures from the party!

Also, we finally put in the slate for our downstairs bathroom. So I need to give a BIG THANKYOU to Ike and Matt for doing it for us. Nick was at work on Saturday, and they were so nice to come over and install it for us. You are amazing! I will post pictures once we get it all done! We have such amazing family and friends!

A hunting we will go...

We spent the weekend down in Holden while Nick hunted. We hung out at the field and cabin with all of his Mom's side of the family. Saturday while the men hunted, Karen, the kids, and I went to Fillmore to the annual Craft Fair held at Millard High School. Of course I found some bows for Kaylee and some cute frames. We had dutch oven that night, YUMMY!! That is one of the best things about coming to Holden! The FOOD! Nick's mom always does such a great job keeping us fed with delicious food! We also enjoyed a 4wheeling venture with just Nick, Carson and myself. It was so fun!! Karen watched Kaylee while we went. We each had our own bikes, and took turnes letting Carson ride with us! It was probably the bumpiest trail I had ever ridden on, but Carson loved every minute of it. The weather was great, the company was fun, and and we all had a great time! Here are some fun pictures from the weekend.

Carson had so much fun playing with Shawn, Nick's cousins little boy. He is only 6 months older than Carson. They played so well together!
Kaylee even had another baby to play with her own age. This is Luke, Shawn's little brother. He is 8 days younger than Kaylee. He is adorable, and has the cutest blue eyes!!
We kept Kaylee bundled up tight! We took her to the Dr's right before we left Friday, and she had an ear infection! No Fun! But even with an ear infection, she was just a doll this weekend!
Carson, Nick and Grandpa Pace

Carson found many ways to entertain himself at the cabin....and they all included dirt!
This is Camp Bennett.....check out all the orange!! This is how they hunted most of the weekend. Sitting at the cabin, looking out over the field. The cabin sits at the top of a 30 acre hay field, and the deer will come right onto the field. They said there were like 80 deer Sunday Morning on the field. (But you only shoot the ones that have horns, and the deer on the field were just does and fawns.) I think hunting is just an excuse that men come up with to sit around all weekend and camp, eat, and talk about hunting and guns! And they get to wear orange while doing it!
Oh, so I guess I should report the deer count: 2. (Maybe even 1 1/2). Nick's Uncle Larry got a 3 point, and Nick's brother Jerid shot a spike. He got a lot of slack for shooting such a small deer! It was pretty funny!

I love these EYES!!!

Four Years!!!!

Nick walked into the house today carrying these....

I was pretty sure it wasn't our Anniversary that was next month....but then he said "Happy Anniversary" and it took me a bit to figure out what he was talking about. "Four Years".

Oh....FOUR YEARS! Four years ago today, we closed on our house and moved into our home here in Woods Cross. I didn't realize it at all today that it was Oct 15th. So I was pleasantly surprised when he brought home flowers to celebrate. What a sweetie!! And the flowers are so pretty. BIG sunflowers!

A lot has happened since we moved into our home 4 years ago. Obviously our family has doubled in size! We have had new jobs, new callings, made more great friends in our ward and neighborhood, finished most of our basement, put in a yard and fence, and have made countless memories inside these walls! I can't imagine living anywhere else! Thanks to all of our great friends and neighbors for being so awesome!! You have done so much for our family and I am grateful everyday to live where we do!

I also want to include a little bit in this post about my awesome brother, Chris! He is amazing! I took Carson and Kaylee up to the Weber County Fairgrounds to see him run in the Region Cross Country Race today. It was so fun to see him run, and he did great. He got 2nd! Out of ALL of the other boys! He runs state next week, and I know he will do just as good. My mom, dad, Matt and Nat were also there. It was a nice to get out of the house and enjoy the pleasant weather. Carson has been sick the last few days, and so we have been somewhat confined to the house. Here are a few pictures from today....

Isn't he cute!? Oh, and last weekend he was named HOMECOMING KING at BRHS! For those of you who don't know my brother, he is an amazing kid. Not because he is a great athelete or an honor roll student, or because he is musically talented and plays in the jazz band, concert band, marching band, and sings in Madrigals. But because he is such a great example to his family and friends by the way he lives his life. I know he has a strong testimony of the church and he lives it to the fullest EVERY day. It is hard to explain, but when I am around him he just SHINES! He has such a spirit about him and it is so neat to have him as my brother. I think he is special and I know he has already made a difference in the lives of many of his friends by giving them the gift of the gospel, and playing an important role in a few of his friends being babtized. I could go on and on about how good of a kid he is, but if you meet him once, you will know what I mean! I love you Chris, you such an inspiration to me!
