Bunko Night!
Last night I was asked to sub for a Bunko Group that some of my good friends are in. They get together monthly and play the game Bunko, which is a dice game. I am sure many of you are familiar with this game and probably belong to your own Bunko group! It was SOOOO much fun. At first I wasn't sure I would like it since it is purely a game of LUCK not skill. But after the first few rounds I realized that it isn't just the game that makes Bunko Night fun, but the people. You are constantly rotating around three tables and you have a different partner each time. You can tell the people who play the game a lot, they don't have to concentrate too hard on the game and they can carry on conversations while they play. It was just a super fun night and it was great to get to know some of the ladies in my neighborhood a bit better and to just play a fun, non competitive game. After the game is all over, there are prizes for the person with the most Bunko's, most wins, losses, and a 'Flying Monkey' prize. I did go home with a prize, but not for the most wins, but the most losses. I guess I am not that lucky of a dice roller, I better remember that if I ever go to Vegas! Thanks gals for the fun! I can't wait to sub again sometime!

Friday Night Fun!
On Friday night we were lucky enough to go to dinner and to the circus with some great friends, the Yospe's!
Do you like Carson's backpack? It worked great for a diaper bag that night! And he didn't mind one bit wearing it for us!

Just shortly after we made it there, Mom and Dad arrived to also see the baby.

Welcome to our family Hallie! We love you!!!

Our new cousin!!!
Our new little cousin arrived today!! Matt & Natalie had their little girl at 5:12 PM. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long! She is just adorable! We can't wait to meet her in person tomorrow! They haven't named her yet, but I am sure whatever they decide will be just perfect for her! I just had to share some pictures we got from Matt!

Doesn't Natalie look fantastic for just having a baby!?! She is amazing! I know that they will be amazing parents too!!! They have always been great with our kids, and I know their children will be so well taken care of! We love you guys!!!!! What a cute family! Carson & Kaylee will love having another cousin, especially one that lives so close, to play with....as soon as she grows a little bit!

Field Trip to the Fire Station!
Today I was able to go on Carson's first field trip to the fire station with his preschool. We went the Fire Station in Bountiful. We had a great time! It was so fun to see the kids listening to the firefighters and see all the cool trucks and equipment they use.

They first met in a big meeting room to explain some fire safety and 911 rules.
Then we headed out to see the big fire truck and the firefighters in all their gear!

They even let them try on a helmet!

Then they all got a turn sitting in the drivers seat of the fire truck!

The cutest thing though was this.....
Brooklynn and Carson are great friends since they live across the street from each other! I noticed they mostly just stayed by each other, but it was cute to see them holding hands! Kristi, Brooklynn's mom, and I got the biggest kick out of it!

This is the whole class and their teacher Miss Wendy.
After the Fire Station, we headed up the street and had lunch and played at the park. The kids loved that just as much as the fire station I think!
Here is Carson and Brooklynn holding hands again!!!

What a cheeseball!!!
There are quite a few fun field trips planned for this school year, and I am hoping to go on all of them with Carson! It is just so fun to watch him play and be with other children his age! He isn't shy, but he does seem quite reserved when he is around other kids, so I thought it was interesting to watch! Can't wait for the next one!

Even Better!!!
After a few days of having his newly painted black truck with green stripes, Nick decided it would be better if the whole truck was black. And I was definitely on board with that decision. Okay, I admit, there may have been some persuasion from me to get rid of the ugly green stripes, but I only did it out of love! How does it look?
Last summer, when Carson and I went to Disneyland we had picked this out for Nick as a gift. A Grumpy window sticker! He finally decided it was time to put in on a vehicle. I think it fits the truck perfectly!
One more thing I just had to share....every Thursday morning the trash gets emptied, and Carson has become such a big helper with bringing the trash can back up to the house. He loves it and always says "That's my job!". This morning I told him he could wait to do it since it might be a little chilly outside. The next thing I know, he put on a jacket and headed out the front door! So I grabbed the camera and took some pictures.

My Creative Hubby...
If any of you know Nick, you know how much of a genius he is when it comes to fixing things and making something out of nothing! You have already seen pictures of the cool Hotwheels 4Wheeler Nick got out of a trash can and made it fully functional for Carson's bday. Well, I just wanted to share of few of his most recent projects...the first his truck. This beast of a truck runs great, but looks horrible!! But leave it up to Nick to figure out a way to paint it (with the help of a good friend, Mike). This is now what a it looks like...
I am not the biggest fan of the green stripe, but I will agree it looks better. I now call it a "monster". But I think after looking at it a bit more, Nick has decided to repaint the green strip to black. So I will have to post new pictures after that happens, but for now, it still looks a ton better!
At the beginning of the summer, our swing chair on the Swingset ripped, so we took it down. Nick has found a great use for it on his rebuilt Three Wheeler. Again another project of his that he is so very proud of! Now the kids can ride in comfort and chill all the way around the block!!
Sometimes it is easy to get frustrated with some of Nick's projects, but I really can't complain since it has probably saved us tons of $$$$ because Nick has always been able to take something that is old, or been given to us for free, or out of the garbage, and made it work like it was brand new! Who needs a new compressor when you can get one for free at the dump!!! So unless you want Nick to have it, you better watch what you leave in your garbage cans on trash day! haha!!
