You and Me Dinner

Tonight, after Kaylee's dress rehearsal, we hurried over to her preschool's "You and Me Dinner". All the kids from her school are invited to attend with just their Parents. (No siblings allowed). We had a yummy ham dinner. We also watched a fun video of pictures they have taken so far this year in School. It was a fun thing to attend with Kaylee. Even though she spent most of the time playing with all of her friends, she had a blast! And so did we!
With three kids, sometimes it isn't the easiest thing to spend one on one time with the kids. We may have to do things like this more often with the kids, just one on one dates with each of them. There's an idea!

Getting ready for Christmas!

First, I have to say how big Livy is getting. She seems to be learning so much every day. Lately, she has learned to stand, holding on to things. She loves it. She spent most of Sacrament Meeting standing up against the bench and looking at the people behind us. Luckily they didn't seem to mind and even played with her a bit. She has had a bit of a yucky nose, and I can't decide if it is a cold or still just from her teeth coming in, which haven't come in yet. So who knows, but I hope it passes fast. It has made her a bit fussy during the day and I am not used to that with her. But she is still as cute as ever!!!
Last night for FHE the kids finished decorating the tree downstairs. We used all the old ornaments we had and all the ornaments the kids have made the past few years. It was fun!
Tonight, Kaylee had a dress rehearsal for her dance/singing group. They perform tomorrow at the Festival of Trees. We are excited to watch her perform. She is one of three girls in her class that have a singing solo. I think her dance outfit is super cute and she looks adorable in it. She was also excited to put on some makeup (glitter eyeshadow, blush and a touch of mascara). She is such a girl, and if I let her she would choose to wear make up everyday!
Isn't she cute!?! It is fun be getting ready for Christmas and to be doing so many fun Holiday things! And it isn't even December yet!

Giving Thanks!

We headed down to Holden Wednesday afternoon to spend the rest of Nick's birthday and Thanksgiving with Nick's family. The kids were super excited to see their cousins, Papa Bear and Grandma Karen!
We had sloppy joes for dinner and enjoyed some Birthday Cake and a game of Bingo! It was a fun Birthday Party!
We stayed up way too late talking and got up way to early, but it was super fun. Most of Thursday morning was spent making pies, side dishes, and putting Thanksgiving dinner together. Kaylee enjoyed licking some of the pudding beaters. Can you tell?
Karen makes the most amazing pies! Oh, and did I mention the rolls? Yum! The kids enjoyed playing while we finished making dinner.
Jerid took extra pride in the turkey....making sure it looked just right!
We enjoyed dinner very much. It always takes hours to make Thanksgiving dinner, but only a few minutes to devour it! But it was yummy!! After dinner the kids went and played outside and enjoyed the very nice sunny weather. It was crazy how warm it was! It was very enjoyable.
Thursday evening, we enjoyed some left overs and another game of bingo!
Friday before we headed home, we enjoyed visiting with family and friends. It was a very laid back Thanksgiving. No black friday shopping (just one purchase from amazon.com), just lots of family and pie!
We made it home Friday evening and then enjoyed a fun day today with just the kids. We took them to see the new Muppets Movie, set up another Christmas Tree downstairs, had Manicotti for Dinner, and then had movie night at home watching "Christmas with the Kranks". It was a fun day! We are so thankful for everything we have. For our beautiful children, wonderful family and friends, for our home and for Nick's job. We are so blessed!

Happy 34th Birthday Nicholas!

On Tuesday evening we took the kids to Salt City Burger for dinner to celebrate Dad's birthday. It has become one of our favorite places to eat! It was yummy!
After Dinner, a babysitter came to watch the kids until Grandma Joy came and stayed overnight with them so Nick and I could go to Anniversary Inn for Nick's Birthday. We stayed in the Wild West room and it was so fun! The kids had fun waking up with Grandma Joy! It worked out well since the kids didn't have school on Wednesday. I did want to add a quick picture. Carson made a cute pine cone turkey at school on Tuesday. I just wanted to share how cute it was!

Brower Thanksgiving Pre-Dinner Birthday Party

On Monday, the 21st, we all met up at Nat & Mat's to have a 'Thanksgiving' and 'Birthday' dinner. Since we wouldn't be together for Thanksgiving we wanted to get together for dinner and to celebrate Nick's Birthday.
We ate yummy turkey, potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and of course pie! It was all delicious!
The kids had a blast playing while we finished eating. I think Hallie enjoyed the fun rides she was getting on the ottoman.
Natalie had the kids put together these cute apple turkeys! So creative!
We celebrated Nick's 34th Birthday with his favorite Pumpkin Pie!
It was a fun time with family and a great way to start off the Thanksgiving holiday and Nick's Birthday!
