Vocal Motion's First Recording Session!

We took about 40 kids into the recording studio to record our first song "You are the Reason" mashup.  It was so fun and these kids are so talented.  Kaylee was able to be one of them.  It is going to be such an amazing video and we can't wait to see how it all comes together!

The younger kids also spent some time putting together a video for their virtual primary program.  Alivia played the uke and sang a primary song and Preston read a scripture!  It was cute!

We then headed up to Tremonton to have dinner with Gma & Gpa Brower.  We let Carson drive!  He is getting pretty good.  He really likes to drive the BMW, which is a manual.  It is crazy how grown up he is getting!

Crazy Wind Storm!

We had the craziest wind storm a few weeks ago.  On a Tuesday morning we woke up to some pretty crazy wind.  The news warned us about it and so we got most of our things on our patio put inside.  However, I did have to chase the bbq cover down and pull it inside since it blew off the bbq.  I drove Kaylee to the bus stop, but then by the time they got to school, they cancelled classes since they didn't have power, so they brought her back home.  So we had a fun "wind" day.  Once the wind died down later, we went out and saw the damage around the city and Carson was able to go and start helping clean up the downed trees.  I also dropped Kaylee off to the peach orchard to help finish picking the rest of the peaches that were left on the tree, before the wind could make any more fall off.  It was cool to see so many families there to help!  The other thing that was so funny to see, was the porta-potty from across the street blow down the road.  Haha!  The city spent the next few days cleaning up the trees and had a temporary green waste site by the stake center that ended being SO big!  It was kind of impressive and amazing to see all the service during such a crazy storm and with the damage.  This city is amazing!

Always a fun time!

We got to watch the new Mulan movie with our friends, The Campbells, one Friday night!  The movie was great and we really liked it!  So fun!

The rest of the weekend was fun!  We went for a drive over to the valley to scout a location for our upcoming video shoot and also took the aqua lilly pad for a spin in pineview.  It was a great afternoon!

We also picked some peaches off our peach tree!  This is the first year that we have been able to do that since planting it, so that was exciting!

I love looking at our memories every day on FB, and one was when Carson started 2nd grade.  So here is a side by side comparison of our two boys!  SO cute!!!
Kaylee had picture day at Orion and I thought she looked so stinkin' adorable!!  Love that girl so much!

Aunt Brittany is the coolest!

I was so happy to go and spend some time with Eden and Van one Friday morning.  Aunt Krissy is pregnant, and not feeling super great and needed a chance to get some rest.  So we got to go to the park and play and watch a movie.  They are just the cutest kids!

We ordered some pianos for the choir and they showed up!  Yay!
We also starting thinking about Preston's baptism pictures and realized we needed a suit.  Luckily we were able to use Carson's old suit!  Yay! He looks so cute in it!
Nick took Carson to his Mountain Bike race at Snow Basin.  He had fun, but his ride didn't go as planned and he had a small wreck at the beginning and a little fumble at the end so he didn't finish the first lap in time to be able to continue with his 2nd lap.  He came home with some raspberries on his hip and shoulder.  He tore his shorts a little too.  But he said he wasn't going to quit, so that was good to hear.

Vocal Motion First Rehearsals!

The day had finally arrived!  Our Vocal Motion classes have started!  They were so great and the kids are amazing!!  We started learning Brita's amazing arrangement of You are the Reason/Can't Help Falling in Love.  The kids liked it!  And we also learned "Last Christmas".  As I write this, we are a month in and things are going great!!!   We have 180 students.  56 in our Wednesday 4:00 class, 44 in our 5:30 class, and Thursday has 80 kids!  We are ages 8-18 and most of the kids are older and in High School and Jr High, so it is a lot of fun!  The fun part is that the kids have friends in choir with them.  So fun!

Moving Masters!

We were planning on a kind of lazy weekend in September, but ended up spending all day helping our friend's Chris & Michelle move.  Kaylee was a great help and did a lot of work in the kitchen with me.  Carson worked his little tail off helping Nick move the big stuff and they were exhausted when they finally got done.  Carson could hardly walk the next day.  Haha!  But now he is a master of moving!

When I got home, I found Alivia and Preston doing just dance and they were pretty awesome!
During the week, we are getting into a good routine of homework, reading, making sure we have a new mask to wear every day (so weird, right?) and more.  I love it!!  haha!
