Trains, Arctic Circle and Talking Time

Last weekend we finally got the rest of the Christmas up and spent sometime organizing the basement.  We didn't do much on Saturday.  Nick worked and our ward was in charge of the Stake Baptism.  We rented the movie "Mr. Peadbody and Sherman" and had a movie night with the kids.  Sunday we went to church and then had a yummy pork roast dinner Nick had made.  We got ready for bed early, the kids were tired, so tired that Preston fell asleep on me which is a very rare occurance.  We got the kids off to school on Monday and had the Messina Boys come over and play and the we also watched Emily while Dawn went to Ryan's 6 month appt.  It was fun having kids over for the younger kids to play with.  They were so intrigued by the train.  It kept them entertained for quite awhile!

 We had a few repairs from the inspection that Nick needed to do on the rental house we are selling in Garland, so he worked a half day and then went up to work on the house.  So after piano lessons I took the kids to Arctic Circle since they were being so good and we had a fun dinner together.  

It was a fun evening!  Tuesday was a busy day with school and talking time.  Alivia just loves it and I am so happy that she loves it!  The teachers are so great with her and they tell me all the time how cute she is and smart she is.  They say she is the perfect model student for Talking Time.  I think it helps that we haven't missed a week.  There are 4 other kids in her class and they come maybe half of the time, other than Emery.  So I think that the consistency helps.  She is making HUGE improvements with her speech.  She went from not saying any N's to saying them perfectly clear in the beginning and end of her words.  It makes me so happy to see her growing and learning so much.

Tuesday evening I attend the Relief Society Christmas dinner.  I sang "Mary's Lullaby" as a solo as part of a wonderful program.  It was about all the different women that new Baby Jesus when he was born.  It was a great evening and it was nice to be with my friends.
