Thanksgiving 2014

Last week we spent Thanksgiving up at my Parent's home in Tremonton.  I headed up with the kids after teaching piano lessons on Wednesday.  We timed it just right and Nick followed us up there from work.  We actually found each other on the freeway!  It was crazy.  We headed straight to the rental house and put a few more finishing touches on it, including some staging and cleaning.  We had a showing that night at 5, and by 7:30 we had an offer.  It was a little low, so we sent a counter offer back on Friday afternoon and they accepted it that evening.  So we are excited to have it under contract!  That made the weekend even that much better!!  I got up at 5:30 on Thursday and did a workout with "Marv's Gym" and my good friend Tiffany Ashby at the Natatorium.  It was fun!  After we got ready for the morning everyone worked together getting things ready for dinner.  The kids worked on making our name tags for our place settings.  They did a great job!  We had dinner at a place on Main Street that is a theater and it has a big room and kitchen.  It is located above Northern Furniture.  I had no idea that place existed, even though I lived there for most of my life!   We had lots of food, then pie, and then some dancing!  It was a blast!  It was so fun to have Krissy there and we are so excited to have her be part of our family!

After we got back from dinner, we had our cousin gift exchange.  We do homemade gifts and it was so fun to see what every came up with this year.  Preston got an eye spy bag, which will be perfect for church.  Alivia got a stick horse, Kaylee got an art kit, and Carson got a homemade bow and arrow kit.  He finished putting it together tonight with Nick.  It is awesome!  We made Hallie & Mayci a crayon and tablet book, Makenzie a scarf, and Austin got a fun ball thing even though it wasn't homemade.  It just was too cool to pass up for him!

Makenzie also made these cute flower head bands for all the girls.  It is such a fun tradition!
