Kaylee had her summer dance recital on Thursday, the 5th. at Layton HS. It was fun to have my mom and Uncle Chris come to watch. She looked super cute and we had a fun time watching her perform. They did a Disney theme and so they sang "A Whole New World" from Aladin, and then "Do you wanna build a snowman" and "When will my life begin" from Frozen and Tangled. Then they ALL sang "Let it Go" for the finale. It was great. She has danced for this group for three years now and we have enjoyed it. But she really wants to do gymnastics, and so we might have her do that instead of singing/dancing. She still has another performance at the Gateway in a few weeks and has a solo part at that performance. It will be nice though to have a break from dancing for the rest of the summer. Her practices are on Friday afternoons, and it makes it hard sometimes to go out of town or do things. But it has been nice having close friends/neighbors that are also in the same class and we have been able to carpool and help each other get the girls to dance.
