Last week was a busy one! We have been having early morning Choir meetings on Thursdays to get a jump start on choir music. It was Connie's birthday earlier in the week, so we surprised her with Brownies and Balloons when she came in. She was quite surprised and it was a lot of fun to see her face! Funny story, I had made brownies late wed night and frosted them Thursday before I left. I thought sprinkles would be fun so I opened the cupboard and grabbed a jar of sprinkles and as I brought it down the lid came right off (as if someone had set it back up on the shelf with the lid just sitting on it, not screwed shut) and so I got "sprinkled" all over!!! Sprinkles went everywhere!!! I was a little annoyed, but they weren't too hard to sweep off the floor but the counter and shelves were still covered in sprinkles. I told the ladies about it and Lori commented how often you can say you have been sprinkled, so I took that as a sign of luck!

Later that day, we had Isaiah over to play with Preston. They are fun friends!
Friday started early like the rest of our week, with the Jeppson kids coming over while Danielle taught science club. She took Carson & Kaylee with her and so it worked out great. They played well together, and later we had Kristine Orme's baby join the party while she went skiing for the day. I dropped her off to her dad when I took Alivia to school. I spent most of the morning listening and watching the Presidential Inauguration. I will be honest, I did not vote for Trump (Or Hillary), but he is our President and I hope he will make good decisions and be a positive thing for our country, regardless of his personality shortcomings. The coolest part of the inauguration was when the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang. So cool!
I checked Carson out of school a little early to make a 2:45 eye doctor appointment in South Ogden. While we were waiting, Preston had a cup of water from the lobby and spilled it all over the floor in the room. Yikes! But he helped me clean it all up!
We got home in time to make sure Carson & Dad got all packed for the Klondike that night. It had been postponed from 2 weeks prior since the high was 8 degrees and the low was well below zero. So it was a bit warmer at around 30 degrees. I had signed up to clean the temple Friday night from 9:30 PM to 1 AM with Brittany & Danielle and I was excited to since it was my first time. Since Nick was going to be gone camping, my mom was nice and came and stayed the night with us so someone would be here with the three younger kids. She came early enough for dinner, so we dropped Kaylee off to a Birthday Party at a soccer place and Grandma treated the rest of us to dinner at Chik-Fil-A. It was a fun evening!

I wish I had gotten a picture of us girls in front of the snowy temple on Friday Night, but we didn't even think about it. There were almost 50 people there to clean the temple and so we got a lot done! I got to vacuum the baptistry font area, chapel and locker rooms. Then we wiped down walls and lockers. Not the most exciting, but I really enjoyed being there and giving service with friends. We made it home just after 1 driving in snow. Speaking of snow, it has snowed SO much! I will have to take pictures and show you how snowy it has been!!! We had a 2 hour delay for school on Monday, so that we could have time to dig out and get there! Anyway, Saturday was pretty lazy. Nick got home from camping just in time to take Kaylee to piano at 8 and go clean the church. Then Carson got home and went to piano at 10 and Kaylee had another birthday party at 10 on Saturday. I guess Carson had gotten up by 3 AM thinking it was 6 and started a fire and started chopping firewood, so it woke Grayden and Nick up and even though Nick told him what time it was, Grayden and Carson stayed up and played in the snow and tire swing and was up the rest of the night. So he crashed hard after piano lessons and fell asleep a few times the rest of the afternoon. It was so snowy still so we mostly stayed home and worked on things around the house. I love lazy Saturdays.
