Saturday, Kaylee took some friends to ice cream and a movie to help celebrate her 9th birthday. Brighten, Allison, and Sarah were able to come! We went to Freddy's first for some ice cream and then headed to the movies next door to see "Storks". It was a cute movie and the girls had fun. My friend and Brighten's mom, Nicole, was also able to come and help me chaperone. It was great! Kaylee got some great presents and it was a fun way to spend the day!
On Sunday, Kaylee got sung to in Primary and we had a family dinner later that day with my side of the family. We had bbq pork sandwhiches and it was yummy! We also made the yummiest ice cream sandwhich cake, similar to what she had last year (her request). This time I put a layer of pudding/whip cream and it was delicious!! I wrote her name with syrup but then Nick insisted on covering it up with chocolate shavings, which caused her name to be covered completely up.
It was a fun weekend celebrating and we hadn't even made it to her real birthday yet!
