On Tuesday, August 7th, we were able to go to Lagoon with some of Nick's family. His mom and dad took us and some cousins to Lagoon and we had a blast! Nick worked a half of a day and came home so he could go with us. We got there around a 11 and started out with some lunch so we would have lots of energy to play!
We started out with "The Bat" ride and just hit almost every ride through out the kiddie section. Carson and Austyn were old enough to ride it by themselves and then Kaylee & Savanah got to ride with Grandma and Dad. Alivia and Sam couldn't go on it, but they were just happy to be there and were able to ride on most everything else. Here are some pictures of our fun day!
So Nick had a brilliant idea to borrow a wheelchair from the Horne's, which I thought was a bit silly at first, but quickly realized it was going to be a life saver for me! Being pregnant and having pain issues with walking and standing would make it really hard to be at Lagoon all day, but Nick's thinking paid off and it was a very pleasant day spent with no pain at all since I was able to sit the whole time! I may have not been able to ride the rides, but it was almost like a ride in itself being pushed around the park in a wheelchair, especially when the kids would take turns pushing me!
One thing Carson got to do this year is ride some of the big rides with dad, including Samari, Wicked, and his favorite the Colasses. Of course, we ended the day with some yummy ice cream in Pioneer Village. It was a SUPER HOT day but after dinner and after 7 or so it finally started to feel comfortable and we really enjoyed just sitting outside eating our ice cream. It was so cute to watch the kids just sit and play and enjoy each other.
We sure love Lagoon and maybe next year or sometime we will get season passes again so we can go more often. A big thanks to Papa Bear and Gma Karen for such a great day of memories!
