This past Wednesday, Nick was able to come home early from work and go with us to the Brigham City Temple Open House. Growing up only 15 minutes from Brigham made me excited to hear they were building a temple there! Our neighbor, Tom, is one of the managers over the building of the temple and so that was fun to hear! Before we went to the open house, we stopped at Pizza Plus in Brigham City for some lunch. We didn't know they had one there and when we saw it we knew that is where we wanted to eat! Good to know there is a pizza plus there for future reference! After lunch we met up with my mom at our designated parking lot at Autoliv. From there we took a bus to the Temple.
Once at the temple, we saw a short 12 minute video about temples and specifically the history of the Brigham City area and the new temple. Before the movie started I got some funny face pictures of the kids and my mom!
To keep the temple clean, we got to wear these fun shoe covers, including Livy who didn't even play with them or try to take them off. It was cute to see her walk around with them on!
We toured the temple starting in the baptistery. That was Carson's favorite part! We saw all the different instruction rooms, dressing rooms, and of course the beuatiful Celestial Room and Sealing Rooms. After the tour we enjoyed some cold water and cookies. Then headed outside to admire the outside and take more pictures.
This last picture was funny....I guess. I wanted a picture of just the three kids and between Carson trying to force Kaylee in a hug and Alivia not wanting to stand up (She hadn't had a nap yet that day) it was just not happening! Oh well!
I know the residents of Box Elder county are SO excited for this temple! It is beautiful and really adds to the area!
