The rest of a Busy Wednesday!

After Preston's party, I was able to go home for a bit and get ready for dance.  We were doing class parties this week and we had a blast on Tuesday and I was excited to keep partying with my classes on Wednesday.  We played games like pin the nose on Rudolph, bingo and an ornament race.  We had treats and sang songs, including the 12 Days of Christmas.  After my last class, I rushed to the High School to direct the bells.  They did amazing and I was so glad we could perform a few times since they had worked so hard.  

 After the bell performance, I headed to the Farr's to hep set up for the neighborhood block party I was helping with and Nick took Kaylee to Roy High School for the Reflections Regional awards assembly.  She WON!!!  Both of her entries that had moved on made it to the next State Level.  Yay!!

 Nick made it back to the party late, but in time to still have fun and enjoy visiting with everyone!  It was such a fun evening and I hope we do it again next year! 

More Reflections and Kindergarten Party

During the school choir concert, they were having an awards ceremony for the council reflections, and we were not able to go.  Because there were so many winners from our school, Emily Rockwood put together a little awards thing Monday morning before school.  Kaylee ended up getting award of merits on three of her entries that had gone on, and an Award of Excellence for her Music Composition and Dance Choreography.  So both of those ones went on to the Region Level, which the awards were held Wednesday evening (more on that in the next post).  So Kaylee came home with 5 more medals to hang up!

With all of the craziness of concerts and activities, we have still tried really hard to keep things like reading, homework, piano and dinnertime normal.  Even though we have had free night more than not the past 3 weeks.  

 We had a quick little rehearsal with the bells, since they were performing that night at the High School for the Jr. High Choir Concert.  Lori was so sweet and brought cinnamon rolls from the straw market.  Yum!

 I stayed and helped in Preston's classroom with his Christmas party.  I helped with the story and treat.  They had rudolph donuts and water bottles.  It was a great little party and the kids had a blast!

Concert & Recitals Galore!

Alivia and Preston had their recital on the 11th and did amazing.  I wasn't able to go since I had to teach Dance that night.  But I was so proud of them!  A friend sent me these photos since she was on the front row!  Alivia played "Feliz Navidad" and Carson played "We Wish you a Merry Christmas".

On Friday, the 14th, Carson had a snowball dance at his school.  We gave the Spencer boys a ride and they all had a blast!  I picked up Carson a few minutes before the dance ended and he was sweet enough to dance with me at the very end.  It was so fun!

 Saturday, the 15th, was a busy one!  We had my Performance Academy recitals for North Ogden and Syracuse.  We held it at Fremont at 1:30 and 3:00.  The girls did great and I was so proud of all my students.  I was also glad it was over aftewards!  Haha!  I didn't have long to rest, because immediately after, I headed to Salt Lake with my family to see the Motab Choir Concert. 

The concert was amazing and featured Kristin Chenoweth.  She is amazing and so entertaining.  And her voice was amazing.  Tiffany and I just sat in awe most of the concert.  We loved every minute of it.  It was a long day and it was after midnight before I made it home.  I was tired!!!  But it was such a great day!

Lomond View Elementary Choir Concert

The choir concert was on Wednesday, December 12th.  We ended up having to have 2 concerts that night.  One at 6 and one at 7:30.  Because of the Newsies set, the risers had to be pushed forward making it really hard to see the choir if you sat in the side seats, so we had two shows so we could accommodate all of the audience.  It ended up working great!  The kids did so good, especially on the 2nd show.  I was so proud of them, especially my bell players.  They did amazing with the Mannheim Mashup they played.  Our program consisted of the following songs:

It was a great show and I am so grateful I get to help as a director and be with my girls!

 My parents came to the concert that night, and it was such a treat to see Aunt Toni at the School Choir Assembly on Friday that week. 

Ring those Bells!

Carson has been wanting to do baptisms at the temple with some friends and finally made it happen on December 8th.  Nick took him, Timothy Neslen and Maddie Orme.  They had a great time, despite Carson getting a bloody nose and enjoyed some ice cream afterwards.  

 That evening, I had a concert with my cute friend and the bell choir we had created.  We performed with the Weber State Alumni Singers.  They are a great choir and we had so much fun playing together as friends!!  Love these ladies!

 We had a concert Saturday and Monday night, with a few performances on the Sunday in between at our Stake Christmas Music Fireside, and it Melissa's Stake in North Ogden.  It was a busy weekend, but so much fun! 

It has been fun getting packages in the mail, since Amazon and online is the only way I have had time to shop lately.  We got a good chuckle out of one of the boxes Amazon sent.  Preston loved this box and ended up using it to make a house.  Forget the toys!  All we need are boxes!

 Carson went caroling with the youth in the ward Tuesday night that week.  And Wednesday was break the rules day at school and so Preston got to race the principal one on one down the ramp.  Mr. Skeen is fast, but I think Preston barely beat him!  It was hilarious to watch!
