New Bishopric & Steak Dinner

We had a good Sunday!  Our singing group sang in Melissa's ward.  It went well!  I just love singing with them!  We sang "Have I done any Good" which is a beautiful arrangement.  In our ward also had some exciting changes!  We got a new Bishopric!  Dave Hilliard is our new Bishop, along with Kent Scoville, 1st counselor, and Steve Boyle 2nd Counselor.  We will miss our old bishopric,  but I am excited for our new one!  After church we had my parents and Matt's family over for steak dinner!  (Kaylee's choice).  We also had the famous pudding and whip cream cake!

Kaylee's 10th Bday Party

Kaylee decided for her birthday this year to take some friends Ice Skating.  We started the fun with dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe!  Yum!  The girls are all so cute and they were so fun the whole night.  She invited Brighten, Mercy, Sophie, Brooklyn and Evie.  We got to the Ice Sheet just in time for open skate.  The girls all probably switched out skates at least twice trying to get he right size and comfort!  But they all managed to get some good skating in and only left with a few blisters and a bruised knee for Sophie!  I am so glad that she has such fun sweet friends.  They really are so nice and she has always said that everyone is nice to her.  As a mom, that is so comforting and makes my heart so happy!  I still can't believe she will be turning 10 on Tuesday.  She has always been mature for her age and very smart, but she is still my little girl!!!  It just is crazy she is getting so grown up!  Love her!!

Speech, Plumbers and CTR!

We had speech Friday morning after Alivia's Speech IEP.  We just love Mrs. Vause and everyone at Lomond View.  They work so hard to help our kids and we are so grateful!

We made it home to let the plumber in to get some work done in the basement.  We are ready to finish the bathroom downstairs and decided to add a second bathroom and re-route the sewer line from the upstairs powder room.  So we had to have the professionals come in with their big jack hammers to help us out and bust through the concrete to accomplish what we wanted to do.  Nick is very pleased with it and Carson was so bummed he was at school and missed all the loud dirty work!  Preston loved it!  I got him so ear muffs so he could watch them work.  It will be so nice and worth every penny when it is all done!  But now it is just messy!!!

Friday night, Nick and I enjoyed a quick date night to Arby's for dinner and then some grocery shopping.  Saturday, Nick had to work.  I took Alivia to a birthday party and Kaylee and I were able to go and find her a new CTR ring.  The one she got when she turned 8 from Grandma is too small.  She found the perfect one and is thrilled with it!!!

Grandparent's Day

We had a good week last week!  We are busy with early morning orchestra and bell practice!  Preston also had a field trip Tuesday.  (I will have to post about that separate when I get the pics Nick texted me since he was the one who took him.  Kaylee had a Endocrinologist appointment Tuesday and is looking good with her Rx dose.  Alivia ran a fever Tuesday and Wed morning, so she stayed home from school and dance.  Wednesday, the girls loved having Grandpa come and have lunch with them as part of the grandparents day at the school.  They had lunch and then got a book at the book fair.  He is such a great grandpa to come and do that with them!  We love having him semi-retired.  It is fun!

Kaylee comes to both my Tuesday and Wednesday Show Stoppers class.  I love having her there both days and we are loving learning our new songs from Wicked!  It is going to be a fun broadway show this semester!
Thursday, after bell practice and dropping Preston off at school, I headed down for my Thursday temple trip with Brittany M. and Heather W.  It always seems like there are a million things to do, but I know that it is important for us to go!  And I am always glad we go.

Super Sunday!

Carson was so excited to get his BYU Blanket he ordered from amazon with his gift card from Gma.  He loves BYU!!!  I am also including pictures of Alivia doing her splilts, which she is amazing at!  And I finally had time to do gel nails on her toes!  She is so fun!  So this year we have 9:00 church and even though it is super early!  I love it!  Last week we got home from church and spent the afternoon putting a puzzle together and just chilling.  It was the best!!!  I also got a new calling!  I am a Primary teacher for the Valiant 10 class!  We have 4 kids in it and I team teach with Mckenzie Story, a young lady in our ward.  So far it is great!!!  I am going to really like this calling!

One more thing...Kaylee is getting pretty good at the Uke.  She is learning so many chords and I love hearing her sing and play.  It makes me so happy!!!

TGIF

I like Fridays!  We don't have to be to school early, Preston doesn't have Preschool, and of course it is a FRIDAY!!!  I have been doing a lot of work learning choreography for PA and helping with all the Disneyland Performance, so poor Preston has had to figure out how to entertain himself.  Once in awhile while I work, he will ask me to come give him snuggles, and I do!  I am trying to enjoy having one on one time with him, but some days seem so busy that it makes it hard!  But I am trying!  Last Friday we did have violin/voice after school.  Then after Nick got home from work, we had a double date night planned with Chris and Krissy!  We took Zupas for dinner and enjoyed seeing them and baby Eden!  She is just the cutest!!!  Kaylee was a little sad she didn't get to go, but she is just too little and new!!!

Saturday was a nice lazy day!  The kids got up and helped me make pancakes.  They actually did most of the cooking all day!  Kaylee made the cutest menus for lunch and her and Carson served the little ones like it was a fancy restaurant!  It was adorable!  And all their idea!
Carson also got to play basketball with the young men on Saturday.  They didn't have enough to play a real game, but they managed to play a bit with who was there!  And he had fun!

Carson and Kaylee ended the day making Cowboy Delight (Goolosh) for dinner.  It was delicious and I loved that they made it AND did the dishes!!!!

New year....new goals!

Gma & Papa gave all the kids gift cards to Amazon, so after searching for a few days, Preston finally chose a nerf gun tactical vest, mask and glasses.  It looks pretty extreme wearing it!  lol!

On Monday, after the kids got home from Holden, we enjoyed pizza pie cafe for dinner after picking Alivia up from tumbing.  We love Modern Woodman socials!  And pizza!

So we got a great book from Marisa for Christmas.  It is a Book of Mormon study guide for families.  We are trying our best to have nightly scripture study (since morning isn't an option with Nick's work schedule).  Alivia has been using a book of mormon that has Uncle Chris's writing in the front that talks about focusing on one specific gospel principal each time you read it.  It was just a fun thing to find in the front of the book!  And so far, we are doing pretty good reading!
I also made another goal for myself to attend the temple weekly if possible.  So my plan is to go on Thursdays while Preston is at Preschool!  I am excited about it!
Also, one last picture of Preston his Preschool teacher took during his "Hibernation" day at school.  We love Teacher Brandi at Sunshine Preschool!
