What a beuatiful day it was today and especially yesterday...it made Easter absolutely wonderful! Carson got a new bike from the Easter Bunny, so we made a few trips around the block to try it out! Kaylee has been enjoying Carsons bike...she loves to be pushed around the block following Carson on his new BIG bike!

Easter Fun
The past couple of days have been crazy and fun for our family. With my BOTS Easter Concert on Friday, I was gone quite a bit for practice this week, but we still found time to get ready for easter by coloring easter eggs Thursday night with the Yospe's. Without doing it on purpose, we have gotten together the past 3 years as families and have colored easter eggs together. I guess we can't stop that tradition now! It was also fun to have Uncle Chris there to help us out. Jana, Chris and I even went for a run afterwards...which I am sure was just a little jog for Chris!!! Kaylee had fun eating and playing with the stickers that come with the dye kit...
Luke and Carson had fun coloring and drawing on the eggs...and Ike is a pretty creative artist as well!! I think he really likes this kind of thing!
I didn't color very many easter eggs myself, but I sure enjoyed the egg salad sandwhich I had today for lunch!
Today we went to the Woods Cross Elementary School for an "Egg"stravaganza. It was pretty fun. It sprinkled a bit, but it didn't stop us from getting in on the Egg Hunt action.
Kaylee was pretty content waiting to get in, snacking on the cheese and crackers...or at least the package...whatever keeps them happy right?
Before the hunt.....oh the anticipation....

We did get Kaylee to let go of her craker package long enough to get some eggs. I thought it went well, they did a three egg rule, which meant, that the kids would go out, get three eggs and come back. Then once they made sure everyone got eggs, they let them back out to get what they could.
Kaylee thought it was so fun to hold her bucket, and she loved the sound the eggs made when she ran!
Inside the school, they had lots of carnival games, and Carson even got a bunny tatoo on his hand! We also got a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.....of course Kaylee didn't want to sit on his lap, she was content just looking at him!
Thanks again for all my family & friends who came to the BOTS Easter concert last night. It meant so much to me to have your support!!
I love my new pantry!!!
I am so happy that our new pantry is complete! Nick finished it up yesterday, and so today after we got home from the Egg Hunt, we started loading it up with all of our food and food storage stuff we have been keeping downstairs in the storage room (One day the storage room will be an office or a bedroom). I am so happy that now when I need a can of cream of chicken soup or a box of macaroni and cheese, I can just go get it out of the pantry IN the kitchen, rather than going all the way downstairs to the storage room. The extra exercise was nice, but quite an inconvenience. So I am pretty excited to have this finished. I just wish we would have done this sooner!
Here it is full of food...and my crock pot & griddle, which has always been tricky to find a good place for them, until now!!
Hello?
Sorry for this blurry picture, but I was trying to take the picture quickly before Kaylee noticed I was taking it. She has a toy phone, and she has learned that the PHONE is used by putting it up to her EAR! She probably learned that from watching me....and her dad, and her brother! I just thought it was so cute, so I had to share!!! She is learning so much every day!
Fold your arms....
I can't remember what age Carson was when he learned to fold his arms, so it was quite a surprise to see Kaylee catching on to everyone folding their arms when we would say prayers. It is the cutest thing! When we get ready to say prayers, we say "Kaylee...fold your arms." And she does! And she thinks it is hilarious....probably cause she gets so much attention for doing it!

It has also been very neat to have Carson say the prayer. He likes to have help, but every time he gets better and better. It's these little things, that make it so enjoyable being a parent!

In their element...
Carson was in heaven this weekend when we visited Nick's parents in Holden. He is just like his dad, and I love this picture....Carson's smile is just like Nick's when he was that age. Carson went with Nick and Papa Bear every morning to feed the cows. He loved it!!!

He also had a blast with his cousins! Papa Bear let them put up his hunting tent while the men went to the Priesthood session of conference. It was so fun to see them play together, they have such great imaginations. I love this picture, cause Miss Austyn in the background is posing super cute! It just makes me laugh!

She walks!!!
I wish I had video or pictures, but I don't. I just wanted to announce that Kaylee, after 14 months, is finally walking!! She started to really walk last Monday and Tues, but everyday is getting better and better. It is so cute to see such a little girl walk...she is adorable, and she smiles the whole time, like she is so proud of herself!
I have it on video, but I don't know how to put it on the blog. I really need to get me a different camcorder that has an SD card, and not a DVD disc. Isn't that the easy way to upload a video?
Happy 14 month bday to my little Kayleebug! I am happy you are walking, and can't wait until you run! (Just so you can keep up with Carson!)

I looked out the window...
When Carson was little, he loved to look out the window and watch cars and people go by, or wait for dad to come home from work. He still does, and Kaylee is following in his footsteps. Both of my kids like to just LOOK out the window. Last week, on a warmer day, Carson was outside sitting on the lawn just watching people and cars, and Kaylee also watched, but from inside. It was cute, so I had to take pictures...Fun Primary Activity!
On Saturday, our Ward's Primary took a trip down to SLC and took a tour of the LDS Conference Center. This was Carson's first Primary activity as a Sunbeam. It was such a beautiful day to go, and we had a wonderful time. This is Carson with two of his friends from our ward, Luke and Sadie. Those three were just absolutey adorable with each other!
Sadie has it all figured out....what a smart little girl!
Luke and Carson checking out the cook waterfall, from inside!
It was fun, but of course, it was a little tricky keeping all the kids' attention long enough before they got a little restless. I would love to go back with Nick and Kaylee for FHE sometime. I would recommend to go take a tour, if you haven't already!
