On Saturday, October 12th, Capstone Classical Academy had their annual Arts Gala. Carson and went early to help set up. We took the kids out for dinner to Arby's before the gala and then took the two younger kids home and took Carson and Kaylee with us to the Gala. My mom even joined us! It was so fun! The ballroom dance team performed an African dance with the drum circle. And they were able to raise some money for the school! Carson was able to buy a picture of the he liked of a bunch of deers!

Another Busy Week in October!
I have the coolest friends! We met down at the pickle ball courts on a Monday morning to celebrate Krislyn's bday! I love playing pickle ball! I am not super great, but I enjoy it so much! We are also moving right along learning our show for Performance Academy, choir and bells. Even though it is a lot of work, I love every minute of it!
Preston got a Principal's 200 Club Award!! For being a good student in his class! Wahoo!
We also made a trip to a pumpkin patch joint in Farr West and picked up some pumpkins with the help of Modern Woodman. Preston picked one of the biggest ones he could find. I have also been spending a lot of time writing bells music and song arrangements for our choir. Which I love to do, but it is time consuming. Can't wait to see how it all comes together!
Conference Weekend
On Saturday, I picked up a few boxes of chicken on a good sale, so I bottled chicken! A whole case and a half of it for me and my mom. Then froze the rest. Carson was such a good sport and helped me cut it all up! So much faster when you have help!
I also gave haircuts to the boys over the weekend....Preston loves getting his hair cut, can't you tell!? Haha!
Sunday morning of Conference Weekend came and that meant CONFERENCE CAKES! I love that my kids get so excited for them. They turned out amazing this time!! Probably the best batch I have ever made. I love that my kids are old enough to help and learn how to make things like this. I think I ate nothing but conference cakes, but that is a good thing!
Friday Night Ligths!
The night of Carson's surgery, was a football game at Weber, so Kaylee invited a bunch of friends over for pizza and then head to the game. Such cute girls! They ate and then painted their faces for the game. We dropped them off and they made it through half time. It was too cold, so I picked them up and they came back and had a dance party. It was such a fun evening!!! Friends who came: Austyn, Sadie, Elizabeth, Ruby, Evie and Brighten.
Ear Surgery for Carson!
Carson had ear surgery on Friday, October 4th. We headed to Davis Hospital by 7:30, so I left the younger three kids to get ready and they sent me a cute picture of them at 8:15 telling me they were ready for the day!
We were able to enjoy a pan of cinnamon rolls that Shawna Cragun brought over for us. Yum! It was a perfect way to start our general conference weekend!
Dance Party, Doctors and Recording!
On Monday, September 30th, I was invited to a fun night put on by Social Tenacity, that my amazing friend Melissa works for. We were supposed to help make the party a PARTY!! So that is what we did. We danced and sang and probably made big fools of ourselves! Haha!
On Tuesday, Oct 1st, we made a visit to Dr. Skedros becuase I had noticed a hole in Carson's ear drum when he was complaining about water in his ears. Sure enough! There was a hole and so we scheduled a day to get it fixed with a quick surgery.
We also took Preston in for his wellness visit with Dr. Church. He is growing great and healthy!
On Wed, Oct 2nd I took Kaylee to Deseret Peaks Studio to record her reflections song "Strong and Unique". She did a great job and I think it turned out great. Now to just wait to see how far it can go!
