Another Soccer Saturday...turned Shopping Saturday!

Yes, more soccer!  There were team pictures before Alivia's game, so it was a mad dash to get there early.  But we made it and then enjoyed her game in our new sports tent!  yay!  It was a warm day, so it was nice to be out of the sun and avoid sunburns!

Kaylee did amazing at her game as well, and they won 3-1.  After soccer, we were supposed to do yard work, but decided shopping sounded a lot more fun!  A quick trip turned into a long one since we were having a hard time finding what we needed.  But we finally found what we needed and had lots of fun shopping together!
Had a great day at church today!  Now to go eat the pork chops we are grilling!  Yum!

We Finally have Plants!!

Monday morning, after morning carpool and dropping Preston off to preschool, my good friend Traci and I headed to the nursery to find plants for our yard.  It was so fun and expensive, but we are so excited to have a plan for our landscaping.  I am so grateful for Traci's help!  She is a pro!

We spent the next two days planting!  I felt so bad when I had to go teach dance and they were still planting.  But dance went so well and I am so excited for our upcoming recitals.
Wednesday after dance I took a car full of girls home but had to wait for Alivia to be done with tumbling, so we grabbed some frosty's from Wendy's and watched "Greatest Showman".
The weeks leading up to our school choir concert involve a lot of lunch rehearsals.  They are a lot of work, but so much fun.  It is such a rewarding job!

And lastly, just some cute pics of Carson reading to Preston before bed one night.  Kaylee also reads to Alivia, and I love it!  Then Friday night we worked in the yard and the kids played, and enjoyed chocolate milk before bed.

Sunday Dinner with Baby Eden!

Kaylee was the spotlight in Primary last week.  I was glad I was there for it!  She is a special girl!!
Speaking of a special girl, this other special girl drew the cutest picture of me after church.  She is quite the artist, and I think it is because she is left handed!
We were able to have family dinner at my parents Sunday evening, along with Chris and Krissy.  We wanted an excuse to go see their new 5th wheel!  We love being able to spend time with family, especially cute baby Eden!!!

After dinner, we made a quick trip to see the trailer at the storage unit.  It is going to be so fun for them, and us, to be able to use!  I am excited!

Of course, while at grandmas, the kids played in the costumes!  They love it and it reminds me of when we used to do the same thing as kids.

Fun Fridays and Soccer Saturdays!

Last Friday, Preston had a fun speech session with Mrs. Vause.  They did Sparkly Sizzling Stars!  (Baking soda stars with vinegar!)  He had a blast!  We love Mrs. Vause and all the hard work she puts into helping Preston!  His "S" sounds are slowly improving and we will be excited when he will get to see her more often in Kindergarten.
Friday night, Carson had a dance at the Jr. High.  He had a blast and said he danced with a lot of girls again!!  I am so glad that he is so outgoing that way!
Saturday, we had soccer games.  Kaylee played first at 11:30.  The weather was perfect!  They did amazing and played so well, winning 5-2.  Grandpa is the best coach!!!
Alivia is getting more and more aggressive with her soccer skills and made some good saves as goalie.  (She is the one in the middle...great running shot).
We also got to see Grandpa's new truck!!!  Gma & Gpa Brower get to use it to pull their new 5th wheel this summer.  Carson was bummed he didn't get ot see it, he went to Youth Conference all day at Weber High.  He had a good time.  Nick and I spent the rest of the day after soccer, working on the East side of our house.  These rock walls are so much work!!!  Hopefully, we can get them planted and make them a little less high maintenance.

Family Fun Week

Preston is quite a picky eater and mostly eats chicken nuggets, apples, ham and string cheese.  For breakfast he normally eats chocolate milk and toast, but occasionally will have eggs.  The other night it was late and we had such a busy night, that he didn't really eat dinner, so I convinced him to have cereal, with milk!  He has never had it before and the only cereal he has eaten is usually dry.   He loved it!  And I was so happy he loved it because that gives us one more meal he is willing to eat!  This week at school was Family Fun Week.  During the week, we had assigned days where we could have lunch with our kids.  Monday, I was able to eat with Alivia and Kaylee!  It is fun to spend lunch with them!  I have also been at the school at lunch every day for choir dance practices!  So fun!!

Monday, was a little rough for Preston.  He can be a little demanding and when he wants to leave the school, he gets very upset and will be very rude to me and throw a fit, even if I am not able to leave.  He was acting like this after church Sunday, and while I was talking to other Adults, was very rude and mean to me.  So after lunch on Monday and after him having an absolute meltdown at the school, he spent some time in his room.  No electronics.  I found him there asleep when I went to check on him.  I had noticed the swat uniform he was wearing, which showed he was trying to find ways to entertain himself.  He is slowly learning that he cannot act like a crazy person and get what he wants.  He also needs to learn that I am the boss, not him.  I love Preston to pieces, but some days he really pushes my buttons!
Luckily, his nap made him a lot happier so when we attended the family dance party at the school that night, he was happy to join in the fun!  The kids loved every minute of it and all of them danced the night away!   Even Nick had to get in on the action for one of the dances!

Tuesday was a busy day!  Choir, Piano lessons, dance and young men usually make it busy, but we got a fun surprise visit from Grandma and Papa!  So the kids enjoyed being with them after school in between activities.  Carson was also able to do baptisms for the dead after school that day.  They were up visiting Grandma Pace so we took advantage of it and celebrated Papa's birthday a few days early with some ice cream before bed time!

The family fun week continued with Picnic in the Park on Thursday, which the kids stopped by after soccer practice and a bike ride to Lee's with the McConkies.  We couldn't say long since Kaylee had soccer practice at 6:30.  It was a fun week!

Practicing Hard!!!

As we approach spring time and the end of the school year, we step up the work with rehearsals and practicing!  All of my students at Performance Academy are working hard learning their solos and dances.  Our Bell choirs are doing amazing with their songs and our early morning practices continue with section practices sometimes during recess.

In the midst of all the practing and hard work, we do find time for fun!  Last Friday, Alivia and I went to Panda for dinner and then to Cold Stone to use a free ice cream coupon she got at school.  Nick also got a date with Kaylee after her blood draw (She has to get one before each endocrinologist appointment) and they went to Zupas and then also hit cold stone that night with her coupon.

Saturday, we took our Bell Choir that is playing a Pirates of the Carribean Medley to audition for the Ogden Symphony Ballet Benefit Concert in May.  They had over 60 youth performers audition and only picked 12 to perform.  And they picked us!!!  We are so excited!!!

And if last week wasn't busy enough, this cute kid decided to run for 8th-grade officer, so we spent time making posters and figuring out what his skit might be if he makes it past primaries.  Unfortunately, he didn't make it past the first round of elections, but he was sure happy about running and I was proud of him!! He even wore his suit to school Tueday for the election!  What a stud!

Conference Cakes, Greatest Showman and X-Rays!

We didn't make conference cakes over General Conference weekend like we normally do, so we made up for it a week later after church!  Yum!  We sure love this tradition!!  The girls did great helping me put belly buttons in each of them.
On Tuesday,  April 10th, we got our copy of The Greatest Showman in the mail!  Yay!!  We love this show and have it playing nonstop in our van!  We sing everywhere we go!
Preston started complaining of leg/hip pain on Monday, so on Tuesday I finally took him into the doctor to get it checked out.  The xrays were inconclusive, so we saw an orthopedic surgeon on Wednesday just to make sure it wasn't anything serious.  They cleared him said it was probably a pulled muscle.  As of today, he is back to normal.   I was so concerned because he could barely walk on it and since Uncle Ryand had Perthes disease when he was 5 I was nervous that Preston might have the same thing!  Whew!  So glad he is ok!  But man, he was a pro at taking xrays!  They even did a blood draw Wednesday, and Nick said Preston didn't even flinch during it!
