Alivia Marie Bennett

I wanted to share the pictures I took and edited of Alivia when she was just a week old. It took a few different photo shoots, but I am happy with how they turned out. I love pictures and I take a lot of them, because it is the best way for me to remember special things that have happened and to remember how precious my kids are! I am loving having Alivia and being able to snuggle with her every day! I know she is going to grow up super fast, so I wanted to make sure I remember how sweet and precious she was as a new born, but I am also excited to see how she will grow and develop as well! Here they are...

Lunchtime...

I have posted before about how much Kaylee loves Spaghettios. We ran out the other day, so luckily I picked up a case from Smith's last week since they were on sale for the case lot sale. She was SO excited when she saw them and helped me put them in the pantry. However, this morning I found that Kaylee had put them in a new spot so they would be ready for her to eat for lunch today. She had put them in the fridge. Normally, once she eats some, I put the left overs in the fridge, so she must have thought that is where they go now. I just thought it was funny! I had to explain to her that they don't need to go into the fridge until they have been opened. Silly girl! I also want to share the latest update about Alivia. Not only is she THREE WEEKS OLD today (wow that was fast!) but we put her in her crib to sleep last night and she did great! She is on a pretty good 3-4 hour schedule and she eats then goes right back to sleep! She is such a good baby so far!
When Carson was a baby, he was six weeks before we put him in his crib. Kaylee was 4 weeks. I just figured that we would all sleep better with Alivia in her own bed and we don't have to hear every little noise she makes. With having a csection, I like having the baby close to make it a bit easier for me. But I am feeling better every day and I am able to move around much better now, so I think this is a good move! It makes me a bit sad to think she is already 3 weeks old, because that went way too fast and I want to her stay this little for ever! She is so fun to cuddle and snuggle with and I just can't get enough of her! Neither can Carson and Kaylee. They are always asking to hold her and they love to give her kisses when she wakes up. Don't get me wrong, life right now is not just roses and rainbows, it has been a really hard 3 weeks, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Happy Birthday Grandma Joy!!!

Yesterday was my mom's Birthday! To celebrate we had dinner at Matt's house after we went to the Treehouse Museum. While we were together, both Grandma and Grandpa got some good snuggle time in with Alivia! We had a yummy chicken and rice soup and then had cookie pie for dessert! It was delicious!

The kids had a lot of fun making Grandma her present and decorating the envelope. They drew her pictures and made her a card.
We also gave grandma a blog book of the Brower Family Blog. It is a blog that all of us siblings contribute to.

Oh, how we love Uncle Matt....and his weird and crazy sense of humor!

My mom is such an amazing woman!! She is so talented and smart and we are so proud of everything she has accomplished! Happy Birthday Mom!!!! We love you!

Treehouse Museum

Yesterday, I took all three kids and met up with Natalie and Hallie in Ogden and we all went to the Treehouse Museum. First, it was quite a morning trying to get all of us up and ready to leave the house, pack the diaper bag, make a cookie pie (for my mom's bday dinner), make and eat lunch for all of us, and make sure that I timed it just right so that Alivia would sleep all the way up to Ogden and I wouldn't have to stop to feed her. We made it, and we even managed to stop at Payless and buy some new dress shoes for Carson. I know this may sound silly to some of you moms, but having three is an adjustment, and add on top of that, not feeling the best and still having a bit of pain from the csection, it makes everything just a tad bit harder and slower since I don't move as fast as I would like! So, for my first official day out all by myself, it went well, I thought! It was nice to have Natalie's help when we got to the museum. The kids had a blast there! Here are a few pictures from our day. We went to the 'Participlay' they had that day. It was the story of the three little pigs, mingled with a few other fairy tale characters. They let kids dress up as the characters and Kaylee was picked to be one of the six bunnies. She was SO cute and did a great job. She wasn't shy at all and went up on stage like it was no big deal! She was by far the youngest kids in the play, but she was adorable!

After the play and a break for a snack, we went back upstairs and made a craft....a magical wand! We used pipe cleaners, a straw, and some modeling clay to create the wands.

We made sure we had time to play dress up before we left. Carson made a pretty handsome astronaut! It was a fun afternoon and it was so good to get out of the house. We have been home all week for spring break, and since the weather has been a little cooler and more wet than we had hoped, it has kept us inside more than we would have liked! Thanks again Natalie and Hallie for such a fun afternoon!

Say "Awwwww"

Yesterday Carson, Kaylee, and myself went to the Dentist for our 6 month check up. This was Kaylee's first time at the dentist. She did SO good! She first watched them clean and look at Carson's teeth. He was so good to try and explain to her how it all worked and told her it didn't hurt. It was cute! Then it was her turn and she didn't hesitate at all to sit up in the chair and open her mouth big and wide for Keith, the Dental Hygienist. In fact, she held her mouth open wide the WHOLE time she was in the chair, it was quite funny! She was excited to get her teeth polished like "Princess Teeth". I had forgotten my camera, and I had mentioned it to Dr. Adrian, and he was so nice and grabbed his camera and took a few pictures of Kaylee and emailed them to me. His camera is made to take close ups of mouths, but they worked great for this too! Dr. Adrian and his staff are super nice and SO friendly! They know our whole family very well and we are so glad to have him as our dentist! Both kids' teeth looked great and they didn't have any cavities! Unfortunately, I have one little filling I need done and my back tooth needs a crown. (This is another crown other than one I just got from my root canal). The cutest thing that was Kaylee did during the appointment yesterday was tell all of us while they were cleaning my teeth..."When I grow up I am going to be a doctor, and clean peoples teeth!". She is adorable!

Conference Weekend...

We had a wonderful and very laid back Conference Weekend. Nick had to work for a few hours on Saturday, so we spent the day just chillin' and hanging out while listening to Conference. (Kaylee didn't even get her hair done that day...that is how laid back it was!). The kids are always coming up with crazy ways to entertain themselves. One of the things that they do a lot is get grocery bags and wear them as jump suits! They did this on Saturday, and they looked so silly so I had to take a picture! Later on Saturday, Grandma Joy stopped by to visit and hold Alivia! It was fun to see her! She also brought me some tulips to plant in my flower beds! That was a great surprise!! On Sunday, Matt, Nat, and Hallie came down to spend the day with us. I got up early and made our traditional Conference Cakes. They turned out yummy! We even invited our new neighbors, the Garycochea's over to eat them with us during the first session. Matt did his part and helped whip the Whipping Cream.

Aunt Nana was in charge of the hot cocoa, with some help from Kaylee and Hallie.
Nick enjoyed some snuggle time with Alivia, and so did the rest of us that day!

Even Natalie got her turn and did a good job snuggling her for most of the morning session!
Matt & Nat brought their new puppy with them, and the kids had fun playing with her! Her name is Missy and she is such a cute little thing and did so good around the kids!
It was so fun having them down for conference! Natalie was such a great helper and did quite a bit of the clean up for us!
After conference and a yummy crock pot chicken dinner, we watched tangled before the Brower's headed back home. It was a wonderful weekend spent with our family and listening to our Prophet and Apostles. It is a good thing we have DVR, since having kids makes it a little tricky to hear EVERY word that is said! I have enjoyed playing it back while I am up with Alivia at night. I can't wait until the conference report comes out next month, it is another great way to remember all the great talks!

Two Weeks

Today, Alivia is 2 weeks old! That was fast! We got up really early to get us all out of the house by 8 for her Dr. Appt. She did such a good job and the Dr. even commented on how chill of a baby she is! The only fussing she did was when they did her PKU and had to prick her heel. That was a little sad! She is following in her older siblings foot steps with her statistics, she is tall and thin. She was 6 lbs 9 oz, which is 7%, and her height is 21 in, which is 77%. I thought I would take a picture of her with her cute stuffed animal help track how she is growing from month to month. This is the first picture of her with it at 2 weeks old. She is such a cutie and I love to just hold and snuggle her as much as possible! She is getting into a good 3 hour routine and does pretty good at night. She still gets up a few times, but is easy to feed and put right back to bed. I want to just freeze time and have her stay little, but I know as she gets older she will just get more and more fun! After her appt, we headed to Kaylee's dance class and then headed home for lunch before taking Carson to a Birthday party. The weather has been so nice today, so we took advantage and went on a short walk with Alivia in the stroller. Right now while I blog, the 2 older kids are on a bike ride with dad while Alivia takes a nap. I am excited for the weather to start being nice so we can all get out and enjoy the sun! And I can't wait to get waling and jogging again soon!!! So far, I am really enjoying having a March baby!

Bottom Lip

Normally Kaylee is a pretty happy girl, but lately she has learned how to pout. She made a butterfly at school and I wanted to take a picture of her holding it, but she didn't want to, so she pouted the whole time I had the camera in my hands. I thought it was hilarious, because her bottom lip was SO cute! She was almost in tears, but was holding it back and this is what she looked like.... I am sure I am considered a mean mom to torture my kids this way, but I thought it was actually kind of adorable...I mean, have you ever seen a cuter bottom lip?
