We had such a blast swimming at the Ostler's house on Saturday! They have a great pool and it was fun to see some friends from High School. Even though most of them are 2 years older, I knew them pretty well from being in Band and Drama with them. We have gotten together a few times over the past few summers and it has become a fun tradition. We had a yummy dinner and stayed as late as we could before heading home and getting cleaned up for the Fireworks that night.
We picked up Mercedez and Sawyer so they could come with us, and as we were walking into the field Mercedez exlaimed "It's a Unicorn!" And sure enough, it looked like a unicorn!! haha!
We had so much fun waiting for the fireworks to start and the kids passed out a bunch of these glow sticks we had gotten for free from the speaker guy! They thought that was so fun!
The fireworks were great and it was just as exciting watching the fire fighters put out at least 3 or so grass fires in the field above the high school!! It was sad not to have Nick there with us, but I love that my kids are getting old enough that they aren't as hard and they make it a lot of fun!!
