We made it back to Ryan's house Saturday early afternoon and saw a cool grass fire next to the freeway on the way there and got to watch helicopters drop water on it. It was kind of exciting. We didn't spend a lot of time at Ryan's when we got there because the kids were anxious to get to the beach again. We to Ventura beach again, but this time a little bit more north on the beach by a few streets. The waves were huge that day and the tide kept getting further and further up the beach so we had to scoot back our chairs several times!
The beach was amazing and a bit warmer than the week before. After dinner we got cleaned up and headed out to a local Mexican restaurant with Ryan. He is the best and it was so fun getting to spend time with him!
We had a fun bon fire before we headed for bed! When we got up Sunday morning, the kids just had to pick a ton of oranges, lemons and Avocados before we hit the road around 8:30. We made a few stops for food and restrooms and even in Holden for a quick hi and bye, but made it home around 11 that evening. The drive home felt a lot longer than the ride there! Next time we will have to break it up a little bit more. But I think it was a great trip and I think another road trip would be a lot of fun now that are kids are getting older.
