We spent a total of four days in the Parks at Disneyland and we probably could have stayed another four because it was so fun, as long as we could have a break in between! Friday was so fun, but halfway through the day we were exhausted, but it was all because we were having so much fun! On Friday, the park didn't open until 9 and so we were able to have a little bit more time getting ready that morning. We got there when Adventure Land opened and Frontier land were able to get right in line for Pirates of the Caribbean. It has been closed for about 3 months for some redoing of an auction scene, and Friday was the first day it was back open! We were glad we got on first thing that morning, since just a few hours later when we walked by, it was closed down for some reason.
After Pirates, we re-visited Space Mountain and enjoyed some yummy Mickey-Shaped Beignets. They were so good!! And we love space mountain!
We headed back over to CA Adventures to do Soarin' one more time and to cool off at the Animation Studio and watch turtle talk again. It was a good rest for our feet!
It was a ward day, so we also hit Grizzly Run one more time to help us all cool off. The kids got soaked!
For dinner that night, we headed back over to Paradise Pier and had more bread bowls for dinner! We filled them with Mac & Cheese, Broccoli Cheese soup and Chili. So good!! Then we headed back over to Disneyland. We finally hit all the small rides around the castle and explored in the castle and even caught some of the parade while we were on the Alice ride and waiting in line for the story book canal boat ride. It was kind of fun!
One of the coolest ways to end our trip was to watch Fantasmic! It was around Tom Sawyer's Island and since we got passes first thing that morning, we had a front row seat and had a great view of the show. It was so cool! The kids ooh'd and awe'd over it. It really was the perfect ending to our day and trip! Preston was just so happy to get popcorn! He had been begging for it for days and was delighted to finally get some in his own Disney container! We also got churros to enjoy during the show. I mean, how can you go to Disneyland without eating a churro or two? For most of the week we did pretty good bringing lunches and snacks and not buying very much in the park, if anything. The last day though we definitely splurged and really enjoyed the dining experience Disneyland offers, which made it a magical day for sure!
As soon as the Fantasmic show was over, we loaded Preston and Alivia into the stroller and headed out, with a quick one last look through the emporium. It didn't take long for Preston to fall asleep! It was so cute! I haven't seen him asleep in a stroller like for for quite a while. It was proof we had fun! But for reals, by the time we left we were ALL exhausted! We got back to the hotel and got some sleep and the kids and Nick did some swimming in the morning, while I got ready and packed up. We had until 11 to check out so we made the most of it! It is funny how we went all the way to Disneyland and one of the things they wanted to do the most was swim in the pool at the hotel. Good to know! Haha!
We left the hotel and started our journey back up to Ryan's house which is just a couple hours away. We made a quick stop for gas and lunch at Costco (but did you know not all costco's have fuel centers? Apparently not, so we got lunch while Nick found a gas station!). It sure felt good to only spend $1.50 on each lunch!
