The Bennett Family Reunion is held every Memorial Day weekend down in Holden at the cabin. We headed down early Saturday morning and got up to the cabin in time for Nick to help with the cooking. Unfortunately the weather was cold, and just as we were sitting down to eat it got very very windy. It was miserable! We ate as fast as we could and then I took the girls back down to the house for an afternoon nap. Here are some pictures of the reunion for the short time we were there.
The boys stayed up to the cabin for a bit longer to visit and ride the three wheeler. They had fun, but since the weather just didn't get any better they all decided to come back home and enjoy the warmth of the house. We spent the rest of the day visiting with family, we cooked hotdogs and enjoyed the rest of the yummy food left over from the reunion dinner. That night, Papa and Gma Karen took Carson and Kaylee and they slept in the cabin. The kids had a blast staying there! It was fun to hear about it the next morning before we went to church.
After church on Sunday, we enjoyed a yummy ham and fettuccine dinner. Again, we visited with family and just enjoyed the afternoon before heading home. Carson and Kaylee also got to ride the three wheeler before we left since they didn't get another chance to on Saturday because of the weather.
It was a short, but fun trip to Holden. We got back home around 8:30 and got everyone into bed. We were all exhausted! We are hoping that next time the weather is a bit nicer, but it is always good to see family!
