Lagoon Day with the Yospes!

I love having season passes to Lagoon!  It gives us a chance to go to Lagoon with different friends whenever we want!  We met up with Jana and her kids and spent most of the day at Lagoon.  We got there right when it opened and so the lines were short and we rode on so many rides.  It was a little chilly, but not too bad!  It was such a great time!!  They also had Frightmares going on so the kids got to "Trick or Treat" and enjoy all the Halloween decorations that were out.

Friends!

I sure love my girls!  They got ready one morning and as I did their hair, we decided we would channel our inner 80's!  Sweaters, scrunchies and pony tails!  They were adorable and I am so glad they are such good friends!

We have been so busy that I haven't taken a TON of pictures, but know we have been doing a lot.  I was able to have lunch with a good friend, Kellie, just a bit ago at Zupas.  It was so fun to catch up and hang out for lunch.  I can't wait to do it again.  Friends are so important, and so I was so glad that Luke Yospe was able to come and stay the night with Carson.  We did dinner at Cafe Rio's thanks to Modern Woodman.  Those two boys are such good friends and I hope they continue that friends ship!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Alivia and Preston are so silly...they either hate each other or are best friends.  One morning before school they showed me their handshake song they had come up with.  Something about Big Jelly Fish....Baby Jelly fish....ect.  It was quite clever.  I also started teaching music that week for the 4th and 6th graders at Lomond View.

During the last week of August we got to celebrate Grandpa Brower's birthday with a quick song and some cheesecake!  (Store bought because I didn't have time to actually make a cake).

Thursday, Melissa and I went to the Temple and then made a last minute trip to SLC to eat at a Vegan Restaurant Zest.  It was different but very yummy!

I also got creative with my cooking and one night made asparagus stuffed chicken.  It was delish!!!

Such a long summer....

Because school started so early in August...we enjoyed a hot start to school and it made for kind of a long summer!!  Again, pool days and late nights.  We have hosted a few makeup parties and my girls have enjoyed being part of them, can you tell?  We also started meeting and planning for choir.  My favorite thing of the year!!!

I also started a 30 day challenge with doing Beach Body on Demand and trying to eat healthier.  Summertime was way to fun with bbqs and food.  So I was ready to get back to being healthier!!

Hanging onto Summer

The weather was so nice the first few weeks of summer that we took advantage of a few more swim days with our friends at North Shore.  We also enjoyed North Shore for the Broadbent Orthodontics party.  Always a blast!  And Preston learned how fun it was to jump off the high dive and do a FLIP off the high dive!!!!  He is so crazy and fearless.  I also have been going to the temple often with my good friend Melissa.  I love it!  And I love having such good friends!

On a side and very sad note...just a few weeks after school started, a 3rd grader, Aaron West, was accidentally ran over while riding his bike and was killed.  He is Alivia age and I taught him music last year as a 2nd grader.  I am so heart broken over it.  I have been praying for his sweet family and sister Sidney, who is in Kaylee's class.  He was a cute kid!
I have enjoyed having time to run errands during the school day and got a chance to be in Layton so I stopped by Crumble Cookies and gave them a try!  Not too bad....but I do think my cookie recipe is just as good if not better!

One of the funnest nights we had playing pickleball was one late saturday night.  We played with our friends and played for quite awhile ending the night with a version of jungle ball.  I almost pee'd my pants I was laughing so hard!!!  Again, I love our friends!!!!  Especially the ones I get to play with during the week.  It is just so much fun!
