Free Fruit!

Our January has been busy, but it still includes our daily life of having 4 kids at home!  I run errands when I can and usually have one or more kids with me.  I went to Smith's one day while Livy was at school and we found a fun fruit display that let's kids have a piece of fruit while you shop.  That was super helpful for Preston and he LOVES apples so it was awesome!  Alivia sang the cutest "Opposites" song to me one morning.  She was adorable and loves to sing.  I recorded it because it was so stinkin' cute!!  The kids earned pizza kits from Papa Murphy's from the librarian for reading so one night we had that for dinner.

Brittany & I have been working out almost daily for the past few weeks.  It has been so fun!

Carpet got put in a few Friday's ago and so we spent that weekend getting the trim put in and the kids moved into their new rooms.

Painting time!

With the beginning of a new year, we also begin a new show for Performance Academy.  We had a fun day back at dance and I am excited to teach the new show.  Our final song is "Glorious" from David Archeleta.  Which is the theme song for Meet the Mormons.  But it is a great song about we all play an important part in life and how we are all special.

On the 6th, we had the chance to watch Matt & Nat's girls while they went to a wedding dinner.  It was Gracie's birthday and so it was fun to see them that day.  The kids played playdo and we enjoyed having them over!

We were able to pick up Kaylee's dress from the store to show dad.  We had to order her size in from a store in Logan.
It has been awhile since Nick had a guys night, so while he went shooting at a gun range with Dan, Brittany came over and helped me paint Carson's room.  We had probably too much fun while we painted, but it came out looking great!

We spent the next few days painting Kaylee's room, painting stripes in Carson's room, having movie nights and taking naps.  Or at least Preston did.

We have been working so hard to get these rooms done so with the paint happening, it was so fun to see it all come together!  We ordered the carpet that week and kept working to have it all ready to be installed.

Starting January with a Bang!

Here it is the end of the month, and I am so far behind on blogging!  But I blame it on the super crazy busy life that has been happening the whole month!  On the first Sunday of the year, a first happened.  All of my kids are now in Primary!  Yes, Preston is a Sunbeam! It is proving to be a bit hard for him to sit still, but he is slowly getting better every week.  But it is fun having them all in singing time!
We have also been enjoying our friends and neighbors.  We had a skookie night with the McConkies and Jeppsons.  Yum!  We have had several nights of skookies with our friends and it has been great!

One Monday afternoon, I checked Kaylee out of school early and we spent the rest of day shopping for her baptism dress and something she has been looking forward to for a long time, getting her ears pierced.  She did amazing and wasn't scared at all to get it done.  She sat still and didn't make a sound the whole time and was all smiles when it was over!

It was such a fun day and we got a dress all picked out.   It was truly one of the funnest days I have had with her!  I hope we do it more often.  Spending one on one time with my kids is a lot of fun!

Makenna's Home!

Makenna had texted me on New Years Eve to have me help her surprise everyone that she was in Utah!!  She has been in California since just after her accident and it was her first time being back in Utah.  No one knew she was coming and her siblings were so happy to see her!  We all were!

Like tradition, we headed to Delta to do some New Years Day Skating.

We had such a good time skating and spending time with Makenna.  We stayed at the house that night and enjoyed some pizza for lunch before heading home that afternoon.

New Years in Holden!

We headed down to Holden on Thursday morning the week of New Year's to spend a few days at the farm.  When we got there the kids were excited to see Gma and Papa and get their presents from them.  They each got a pillow with a pillow case gma made for each of them personally.  They are great!
We headed up to the cabin to spend the day playing in the snow and ringing in the new year!  All of the youngest cousins were there!  They had a blast being pulled behind the jeep on a car hood.  Tamra and Ryan were both in from California so it was a full cabin!

We had dinner, opened presents for Savanah's Birthday, and then counted down to midnight with some fireworks!

I headed back to town to stay at the house while everyone else spent the night at the cabin.  I went up the next day with Papa and I don't remember there being that much snow at the cabin in years past.  It made for a bumpy ride up there.  When I got to the cabin the kids were already back on the hood doing some rounds around the field.  We found them all looking like Popsicles.  But we got them all loaded up to head back to the house to see a surprise visitor!  (See next post!)
