Last days of Summer....

Yesterday, we left after lunch to pick up Nick from work and go to Lagoon.  We stopped by the house to see the driveway they poured.  It looks great!  I think we are going to love having so much parking.  Now shoveling it after a snowstorm could be a different story!
I also made a few stops at the Credit Union and Bank to pay down our construction loan with our house proceeds so we can be ready to close with our long term financing when we finally get ready to close.  Which looks like it won't be for another 2 weeks or less.  We are wanting to move in SO badly.  My parents have been so good to let us stay with them, but not having our own space is taking its toll on all of us!  We made it to Lagoon around 4 and we were able to meet up with the Nelsons since they were also at Lagoon that day!  They are the ones who bought our house and our kids were pretty good friends before we left.  It was so much fun!  We went on rattlesnake rapids with them before having a picnic lunch made of luchables, yogurt and a sandwich.

We went on a few more rides with them including the train and Cannibal.  We also watched one of the shows by the carousel.

It was such a fun time.  The only downside was that the air has been so smoggy and smokey lately from all the forest fires in CA and ID.  So the air quality has been horrible and my throat has been killing me last night and all day today from it I think.  I hope we get a rain storm soon to help clear it all out!  It is so sad to think summer is almost over and we are down to just final days of freedom!  However, it will be so good for my kids to get back into school and into a routine.  We have slacked majorly this summer and I hope it doesn't show when they get back into school!

Cousin Time!

We took Mayci to church with us on Sunday and left Alivia home to go to church with Cooper at Grandma's ward.  After church and choir practice we headed to the house since no one else had seen the bathroom shower yet.  Brittany & Dan M. came over and we showed them the house and visited for awhile before finally heading home.  The rest of day Grandma played games with the kids and we just relaxed.
Monday, we took the kids to the Brigham pool to swim.  It was a perfect day for it and it wasn't crowded.  The kids loved the slide!

After the pool, we stopped for a snow cone in Garland before heading home.

It was a fun weekend spent with Mayci and Cooper.  Marisa had spent the weekend out in Reno with Tiffany and picked them up on her way home Tuesday afternoon.  Carson had broken his retainer last Thursday, so we picked it up on Tuesday at his normally scheduled appointment.  They were really nice at the orthodontist and didn't make us pay for the repair.  It must be a first time only thing!  So hopefully we can avoid that again!

Pedalfest

Last Friday night, we had been invited to Danielle & Brad Jeppson's house in our new ward for dinner with friends.  Brad was just called to be the primary pianist and Danielle is in the YW's.  They are super nice and we had a lot of fun getting to know more people in the ward.  My mom kept Alivia, Preston, and Cooper since we had both the youngest Pugmire kids and they wouldn't all fit in the van.  So we took Carson, Kaylee & Mayci with us.  It was nice having a break form the super little kids.

I got up super early (4:45 AM) to pick up Brittany M. in PV and we both headed up to Mountain Green to the start of the pedalfest ride we had signed up for.  We got a discount code when we signed up making it practically free so that was nice!  We rode the 50 miler and it was super hard and challenging (a lot of hills!!) but so rewarding and fun.  The food was great and it was so fun to get to know Brittany even better.  Her family met us at the finish line and then we stayed for a massage and lunch.  I hope we get to do it again next year!  We finally made it back to PV around 3:30 and I showered at Brittany's house since I had a dinner that night in Farmington with my Redrock Relay team.  The McConkie's AC went out that morning so it was pretty warm at their house and since we had finally gotten power the day before at our house and the AC worked, I finished getting ready at our new house!  It was pretty fun!

They installed the mirrors and the shower doors in the master, so the master bath is now complete!  It is so fun to see it finally looking finished!

Another Lost Tooth!

Last Monday, as we were getting ready for bed Kaylee had come in from brushing her teeth and was going crazy because she had just pulled out a loose tooth!  It makes me happy when they come out that easy!  She did get a visit from the tooth fairy that night and got a dollar!
Tuesday morning, the kids spent a bit of time giving pedicures and foot massages.  I think they got the idea when they saw grandma had a foot bath thing.  Then after lunch, we met up with Tiffany Ashby and her kids at a park in Bothwell to play and enjoy the HOT day!  They had a pretty cool playground and the kids loved it!

Wednesday, during lunch, Carson broke a piece on his retainer when he leaned forward against the table and pressed his pouch in just the wrong direction and it snapped.  So we made a call to the orthodontist and we were able to get in right before we were to meet Jake to do a walk through on the house.  They were able to take his retainer and send it into the lab for repair, which is better than having to replace it!  After his quick appt, we headed up to the house and saw they were just finishing up with the front stairs.  We decided to make them 6 feet wide instead of 4 feet wide and asked them to round them, and this is what we ended up with!  I was thrilled with them and I think that was at least one upgrade worth every penny!  They have also been working hard on our back yard trying to get it all terraced so we can close soon.  We were hoping to close by Thursday the 20th, but it will be the next week I think.  Which means we will have to drive the kids from Tremonton for school for a week.  So fingers crossed it will close sometime that week!  We are so close!!!!

Thursday, I had planned on taking the kids swimming, but they were happy to just play in the back yard pool.  So that is what we did almost the whole day!

They also played with some play doh that grandma had gotten the kids the day before.  I thought that Kaylee was very crafty with it!
I took this last picture on Thursday evening, after dinner and while Nick put the rain gutters back on the house.  Alivia was outside watching grandma's ipad while lounging on the patio.  It was just so funny to me!  Swimsuit and all!

Kelly Clarkson featuring PTX!

Saturday, after a full day at Lagoon, Nick and I went to the Kelly Clarkson concert at USANA and Pentatonix opened for them.  It was so fun!!!!  The weather was perfect and it was nice to enjoy an evening without the kids!

Sunday, we stopped by after church and checked out the house.  They had most of the rock on the house and it looked great!  Then we enjoyed a family dinner with Tiffany and Matt's family.  It was a nice evening!

Lagoon Round 2

Last Saturday, we geared up for another day at Lagoon, and yes, I said it was Saturday.  It was a very full park, but we managed to have a lot of fun and get some great rides in.  Tiffany, Aaron and Paul drove in from Reno on Friday night so it was fun to have them there, along with Chris and Krissy.

Did you notice the orange shirts?  We wore them both days and it was awesome, though totally geeky.  But I must say, it was a lot easier to keep track of 7 kids that way.  We met up with Jerid around 5 and he picked up his kids.  Then Nick and I headed to a concert and my mom took our kids home.  I think Jerid's kids had a good time but they were excited to get home and see their dad.
