St. Patty's Day!

We have had a fun busy week! Tuesday, at Preschool Kaylee made a Pot of Gold, complete with a rainbow! It was so cute! And she was so cute trying to show me and take a picture at the same time! After school we headed to Hogan park and enjoyed some play time at the park. We even stopped at the Apple and got some juice and a licorice rope for the kids!
By the time we got home, I started dinner and Kaylee fell asleep while I cooked the rice! She had played SO hard! The next night Carson took a nap right after dinner from playing so hard on Wednesday. (Those are the days he has gymnastics).
Today, Carson wore his new St Patricks Day shirt to school! He looked so cute and SO Big!! Maybe it's because I know I am having a baby tomorrow, but really, he is just getting so grown up!
Kaylee really didn't have a St. Patricks Day outfit, but we found something green on her shirt and we even painted her toe nails green with sparkles before she left for preschool.
Kaylee is always doing things to make us smile! Her latest thing is giving a thumbs up! She will do it when she is happy, eats something yummy, or says "That's a good idea!". We sure love her!
The kids both had school today and then played for a bit at the Horne's while I finished doing some cleaning and getting ready for the big day tomorrow. We go in at 7:30 for the csection (we have to be there at 6 AM). I haven't slept very well the past few days, so I hope to get some decent rest tonight, but my nerves have been a bit crazy in anticipation of what is going to happen tomorrow! It is crazy! The past 9 months have been LONG, yet I can't believe it is already here. We can't wait to meet our new little princess! If I can make it through tomorrow and the csection, I think I will feel a lot better about things! I am sure 3 kids are going to be a lot of work, so I can't even imagine what my sister is feeling right now. She is due with her 6th in just a few more weeks! I just feel so blessed! I have such great kids and the best, most supportive husband ever! He has worked so hard for the past few months, not just at TWO jobs, but also getting the house finished, organized, and tackling my forever Honey Do List! And on top of that, putting up with a crazy, hormonal, and pregnant wife! It has all led to this moment, the arrival of our new baby! So with that, I need to go to bed since we have to be up so early! But pictures will come soon of the new one! Thanks to all of our friends and family for their support, love, and help during the past few crazy months! We love you!!!!!

One More Week!!!

Can you believe that in ONE week we will have our baby girl?!?! We are scheduled for the csection at 7:30 A.M. on March 18th. We are so excited!! Here are some pictures of me at 38 weeks.
I have slept pretty good during this pregnancy, but the last 2 nights I have had a hard time getting comfortable sleeping and spend most of the night trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in. So I am glad I only have less than one week left of being uncomfortable! Today was such a beautiful warm day, so we ran some errands after dance and school and then headed down the street to the "Town House Park" with some friends to play. The moms walked while the kids rode their bikes there. It was so nice to get out and get some fresh air and sun! The kids played SO hard! Kaylee took a nap before dinner and Carson took one after dinner. It didn't help that Carson was up on the counter and when he tried getting off he fell and landed right on his head! Poor Kid! I had to take a picture of him zonked out on the couch asleep! You can see in the second picture how red his face is...he got just a little bit of sun while he was outside playing!
I also took a picture of Kaylee watching Sesame Street while Carson slept and while we were winding down to get ready for bed. She makes me smile! She can be the sweetest cutest girl yet you don't want to have to deal with her when she is not happy!
I took a picture of her before her dance class started today! She LOVES dance! She loves her teacher Kim and she listens and participates every week very well! It also is fun for me to sit out and chat with the other moms while the girls dance! I am so excited for spring and I am glad to see the weather is warming up a bit more! It will be nice to be able to let the kids go out and play, especially after the baby gets here...which is in ONE WEEK....Wow!!!

A room fit for a Princess!

We are finally done with Kaylee's room!!! And I am so happy with how it turned out! It is a room fit for a princess. Nicholas got all the furniture put together, the rest of the curtains put up, and we finished putting up stuff on the wall today. Here are some pictures of Kaylee's new room! (Don't you just love the chandelier light?)
This bed is going to be great! It has three drawers underneath the mattress for more storage and even has a trundle that slides out for another mattress.
If you look close, Kaylee's name is missing a "Y". I am having a bit of trouble locating the right style of "Y" from Hobby Lobby. So it might be a bit before that gets completed! One of the things I wanted for my birthday was an end table and lamp for the front room. We got the table from Ikea and the lamp I found at Paisley Skye (a cute little store here in WX that has the cutest home decor and purses!). With a coupon I was able to get the lamp with some Birthday money I got from my sister! I love how it completes the room!!! (Thanks Ris!!)
I finally feel like our house is getting put back together after all the construction downstairs and we finally have things put in their place so that we can just sit back and relax and enjoy the new baby when she gets here!

Goodbye 20's....Hello 30's!!!!!

Yesterday I celebrated my 30th Birthday! We went out with my family on Monday night to the Texas Roadhouse in Ogden. I know, we always go there, but it is one of our favorites and we know we will like it!
We met Grandma & Grandpa Brower, Matt, Nat, and Hallie there.
Despite the snow storm we had to drive home in, it was a fun evening and we all got our fill of rolls and yummy food!!! Luckily, I didn't have to sit on the saddle! Something about being 8 1/2 months pregnant makes sitting on the saddle 100 times worse than it already is! On Tuesday (my actual Birthday), Nick was home from work by 9:30 so I could go get my hair done before we went out for the day. By the time I got home, Nick had baked me a chocolate cake and taken Kaylee to preschool. I was pretty excited to see the chocolate cake!!! We made arrangements with Jana to watch the kids for the day while Nick and I went to lunch and did some shopping. We first met up with our friends Virginia and Randall at Olive Garden for some lunch. YUMMY! Not only was the food great but we also shared a piece of really chocolaty chocolate cake! It was amazing!!!
We headed to Ikea after lunch, which was the first time Nick and I had been shopping there. (I went a few weeks ago and got a sneak peek of what it was all about!). We wanted to find Kaylee some new furniture for her room and had quite a bit of success! By 4:30 we were done and headed back home to pick up the kids. I got the kids some dinner and then headed to the church for the RS Birthday Dinner. I figured since all of my friends (which are in my ward) were going to be there, it would be a fun way to spend my Birthday! They did a mystery type dinner where we had to guess who the real Emma Smith was.
It was a fun night and they even sang happy birthday to me! I sat next to some of my good friends, including Rachel Youngberg. I really enjoy the RS women of our ward! They are all the sweetest women and they each have taught me so much about being a mom and wife!
I had a fantastic day! I got spoiled from my family and friends! Nick got me the Glee 5 CD and the Journey to Sectionals Glee CD along with my favorite Peanut M&M's. And he gave me some money to buy some new running shoes! So as soon as I have the baby and can get out and about I am going to the running store to do some shopping! :) I am a little sad to think I am not in my 20's anymore, but I am going to embrace the next decade of my life and make the most of being in my 30's.
