What a typical BOY!

Like my other post was saying....Carson constantly gets new scrapes and bruises on a daily basis! :) This was done the day after he creamed his face. He was jumping on a pillow downstairs and fell off and scrapped his arm on his Little People Barn on the way down! Ouch! I am glad we have insurance, since it is probably a matter of time before stitches or a cast will be involved! (I hope not, but he IS a little boy!)

Kaylee is Six Months!

Can you believe it? I can't! The last six months has just flown by! Kaylee is getting to be so much fun! She makes a lot more noises and faces and even laughs now! She does this squeel type scream that I can only describe as a baby teradactle! (sp?) It is hilarious cause I have never heard a baby squeel like that! It is funny, but kind of annoying! She usually does it when she is tired or annoyed! She has finally mastered rolling over, back to front, and front to back. She has learned how to push with her feet on her belly to make her move around, but she gets frusterated when she can't get her belly or head to cooperate! She is just a joy to have in our family and we love her to pieces! She used to sleep pretty good through the night, but the last little while has been a little frusterating! She will only sleep 4 or so hours at a time then wakes up. She is easy to put back to sleep, but I still have to get out of bed! I am hoping it is just a teething thing, but I have been blaming a lot on teething, and yet no teeth have appeared! :) I took these pictures of her yesterday! She is such a smiley baby! Happy 6 month Birthday Kaylee Bug!

Real Estate Investing

The last 3 years, Nick and I have been actively investing in Real Estate by purchasing single family homes, and mostly doing lease to own options with our tenants, and flipping a few. The reason I am writing about this, is because I want to share what knowledge we know with anyone who is interested in getting involved in Real Estate. We aren't millionaires, but since we have made some extra money doing this, I feel like I wouldn't be a very good friend if I didn't share this with the people I know and help them make some extra money too! My dad and I have put a real estate investing company together that has a great TEAM emphasis. It is called Real Team Financial. I have already called a few of you to invite you to our home Wed night, but I want to also open that invitation to any one else that might be interested in learning more about our company and what we do. We are having the meeting in our back yard at 7:00 PM, and you can bring your children (Nick has so graciously offered to play with the kids downstairs...thank you!). I figured that posting this info on my blog will be the best way to make sure I don't miss offerring this oppurtunity to anyone! If you have questions about our company you can email me at brittany@realteamfinancial.com or leave me a comment. If you can't come Wednesday night, but would like to learn more, let me know and we can make sure we get together and talk! I look forward to seeing some of you there!

Poor Face...

Poor Carson, I swear as soon as one owie heals, another one appears! I think that is pretty standard with most little boys! This morning he headed out the back door to play outside, and fell off the last step and caught himself with his face! Ouch! It doesn't help that our concrete has a broom pattern on it that gives the affect of a cheese grater on skin! He looks like someone beat him up! He wasn't happy about me taking a picture of his poor little face, so don't mind his annoyed look! :) Just thought I would share! (Carson is still napping, so I thought I would take advantage of some much needed blogging time!)

Carrie...Here We Come!

This is pretty exciting for me! Nick and I ordered Carrie Underwood concert tickets and they came in the mail yesterday! I was so excited to see them come so fast! She is coming to concert to SLC Wed, Nov 19th. Since that is close to our anniversary, we decided to splurge and buy tickets to her concert as part of our anniversary! We normally are not concert goers, mainly because I am pretty cheap about that stuff, but this time we thought 'why not?'! I have loved Carrie Underwood since she was on AI, and Nick seems to like her too! So it should be fun, now I just have to wait for Nov to come!!

24Th FUN!

We had a pretty easy going 24th of July. Nick had to work (He's a federal employee, not State...) so after he got off of work we spent some time with his parents who were in town before heading up to Ogden to have a BBQ at Matt & Nat's house. It was fun! Carson loved playing frisbee with all the boys, and Kaylee was so entertained by the other little boy that was there...his name is Nathan and he is 4 months old...but probably bigger than Kaylee..and of course he has TONS more hair! He is a cutie and is already rolling over. He is the son of Corey and Mindy Holmgren, who are friends of Matt & Nat. It was fun to hang out with them and my parents. The food of course was great and Carson had so much fun! In fact, we let him stay the night with Matt & Nat, and Natalie brought him home this morning and came with us to his Swim Lessons. It was so weird not having him here last night, but I think we will let him have sleepovers more often! And maybe even let Kaylee join him! :) Thanks again to Matt & Nat for their hospitality and for taking such good care of Carson! Here are a few pictures of the BBQ!
Kaylee is getting so good at eating of a spoon, and she did a good job eating for Natalie last night! My mom also likes to give her little 'tastes' of foods, like chips, yogurt, and watermelon...
Mindy and Natalie holding Nathan and Kaylee....they were so cute together!

Grandma brought sparklers for Carson, but we didn't wait until dark to get started with them!

Cherry Hill

I finally have the video on my blog that I wanted to share of Carson swimming at Cherry Hill. I think it is great, cause you can see how Carson figured out how to 'doggy paddle' his way from Nick to the the edge of the pool. Granted, he has a life jacket on, but I still think this is a huge step in him learning to swim. It was so fun to watch, and just another way for him to prove to us that he is getting bigger!

Birthday Pictures

So here they finally are! Pictures of Carson's big day! I was asking Carson today, how old are you? And he would say "three...no, Four....Five, Five ears old..!" He insists that he is five years old now...it is pretty funny! He knows his numbers pretty well up to 12, and I can hear him counting throughout the day anything that he is playing with. It makes me laugh! He will be a fun three year old!!

Happy Birthday Carson!!!

We had a great July 15th!! Carson turned 3, and had a blast on his birthday!! We started out the day by making MikeyMouse Pancakes and then going to swim lessons. He did so good and got right in like he was an old pro!! It was great, cause Nick took the day off, so we were all there to watch his lessons. Then we went to Cherry Hill and went swimming. It was a blast! Carson loves water and loved going down the water slide and playing in the lazy river...his favorite part though was the swimming pool. He had on a life vest and would jump into the water and doggy paddle his way over to Nick and back to the edge again. We have it on Camera so maybe I will try and figure out how to post the video so you can all see it, it was great! Then we headed back home to have dinner, Pizza...Carson's choice! But we didn't complain. We enjoyed Nick's family that came up from Holden, and then later we had neighbors over for cake and ice cream. It was a perfect day to celebrate his birthday, and I want to tell everyone thank you for sharing this day with us! Thanks to Natalie for watching Kaylee while we went to Cherry Hill...and thanks to Kristi for the balloons!! I will post more pictures and video (I hope) as soon as I get a chance to put them together! Happy Birthday Carson, we love you tons, and the last three years have been such a blessing!

Swim Lessons

I was so excited this morning, cause today Carson started his swim lessons! I wasn't sure how well he would do with them, but I was hoping he wouldn't have any issues with getting in the water WITHOUT me....well, I was a thinking everything would be great when we first got there, and he started following the teacher into the water....BUT, then he realized I wasn't right behind him getting in the water, so he headed back OUT of the water and refused to get in without me! So we watched the class for a five or so minutes until I finally convinced him to at least sit on the edge of the pool and watch...then slowly he warmed up to the idea of getting all the way in the water and joining the class. He enjoyed the last 7-10 minutes of the 25 minute class and didn't even want to get out of the water when it was over. I am hoping that tomorrow will be better, and that he will jump right in!!! His lessons last for two weeks and I am sure by the time they are over, he will be great in the water!! I took these fun pictures so I could share with Nick his first day of class, and since tomorrow is Carson's bday, Nick is going to take work off, and spend the day with us, and he'll get to go to the swim lessons with us! Yeah!! What a fun day we will have tomorrow!
