Thanksgiving 2019

We enjoyed a great and laid back Thanksgiving in Tremonton this year.  But before the eating began, I went to a 'Turkey Burn' at the pilates studio with Brittany and Stacia.  It was soooo snowy that morning, so it was a good thing Brittany drove her suburban down to the studio.  It was a good workout and a great way to start the day!  I had made some cheesecakes in the instapot the night before and finished putting them together to take to my parents house.  We got there around 11 and enjoyed visiting with everyone.  My mom and dad were there along with Eden and Van since my parents were tending them while Chris & Krissy were in Mexico on a vacation.  Tiffany, Aaron, Mia and Emily were also in town for dinner.  So it was a good little gathering!

The food was yummy and the sweet potato casserole was mine and Kaylee's favorite dish!  After we ate, the kids were able to go and enjoy the new snow!

It was a great easy going day of family and food!  And Van is my buddy and gave me so many smiles!!!  He is just getting so big!  It is fun to see them grow!

Let it snow!!!

We only had school Mon & Tues the week of Thanksgiving.  We had combined dance on Tuesday and then got to sleep in on Wednesday!  We woke up to a TON of snow!  I love when it snows and we don't have to go anywhere, so it was perfect.  Carson spent most of the day helping clear off our driveway and our neighbors.  He didn't mind since he used the snowblower for most of it.  We have just loved playing "Cover Your Assets" every night!  All of our kids can play it and they request it every night!

Happy Early Turkey Day!

We attended church on Sunday and then came home and had an Early Thanksgiving Dinner.  Nick's parents were going on a cruise on Thanksgiving, so we decided to celebrate it early.  We had yummy food and even yummier pies for dessert.  We headed back home that evening for a full week of even more fun and food!

Happy Birthday Nick!

Nick celebrated his 42nd Birthday on Saturday, Nov 23rd.  He opened presents before we headed down to Holden, stopping at Panda Express on our way down for lunch.  We played games, ate pizza and celebrated his birthday with everyone.

A boy and his boxes!

Carson has a huge fascination with boxes!  He love when I get any deliveries so he can have the boxes.  So when Carson got all the popcorn boxes, he was in heaven!  He finished the basketball season learning so much!  He got mad though when Kaylee tried to pass out his treats and not him.  So he pouted in all the pictures we took at his last game.  Silly kid!

We added Honor Choir practices on Fridays!  And of course added bells!  SO much fun!

After school, I took the three older kids to get a flu shot!  I even got one.  I know it is important, but it sure makes my arm hurt.
That night we had fun having a few friends over to hang out!  We were heading to Holden the next day to celebrate Thanksgiving a few days early.

Our Tree is UP, Lunch Time Practice & Popcorn!

Knowing that our November and December were just going to get even busier, I decided to put up our tree BEFORE Thanksgiving!  And it has been awesome!  We ended up using it as a back drop to record some videos I needed to make for the concert, so it worked great!  The kids did a great job helping me and wanted to pose in front of it when we got it all done!

My two little side kicks have been champs coming along to all the early morning rehearsals at the school.  They hang out until it is breakfast time and then they go eat breakfast in the cafeteria to also help pass the time.  Totally worth the $1.25!

More lunch rehearsals, which are the hardest and funnest parts of getting ready for the choir concert!

We have failed and succeeded with the instapot, but found a true winner!  Orange Chicken!  Yum!  We also had to find time to deliver all the popcorn Carson sold.  Luckily, Carson and Nick did most of that while I was teaching dance after school.  It was a LOT of popcorn!

Field Trip, Cancer Sucks, and Carson is an Eagle!

On Thursday, Nov 14th, I went with Alivia and the rest of the 3rd grade to a field trip to the Weber State Planetarium.  We watched a movie and learned a little about the planets.  Preston had a bball game that night and then after, a few of us choir ladies went and visited Josh and Mary Gillett.  Mary helped us with choir last year and is now doing the new school's choir, and her her husband Josh was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in October.  We are going to do our best to support them in whatever they need.

We also got to have gma & Gpa over for dinner that night (Taco Soup).  We love living closer to them.  It is so fun to have them involved in our life so much!
Saturday morning, we had a great choir meeting to prepare for the upcoming concert.  I love these ladies and feel so blessed to get to work with them.  Melissa, Stephanie, Kristine, Britt, Lori, Katie & Traci are just amazing!!
Saturday afternoon, Kaylee and I spent the day shopping for a new dress.  Which we couldn't find, but did find this red jumpsuit that she fell in love with.  So that is what she ended up wearing for the concert!  It was cute!
On Sunday, Carson had his board of review to become an Eagle scout and he passed!  HE IS AN EAGLE!!!  We are so proud!!  We have his court of honor on Sunday, Dec 29th with all the other boys in his ward who earned it.  SO excited!
