Fly High!

We didn't have to go back to school until January 3rd, so we decided to spend our last Christmas Break Day at Fly High by the mall in Ogden.  We had never been there and it was a lot of fun.  We met up with Melissa and Claire and Paige and her kids.  We ended up staying for 2 hours of play.  It was a great way to spend the day other than on electronics.  Melissa and I were able to get some choreography done.  You should have seen us dancing, I am sure we embarrassed our kids.

 Nick and Preston were also able to finish his Nerf Gun wall that week and it turned out pretty cool!  Preston loves it and it has really helped keep his room organized.

New Year's Day Party! Whoop Whoop!

Nick and I put together a super fun Adult Only New Year's Day Party with a ton of our friends.  We did a game night that included 9 Square, Pickleball, Corn Hole and other board games.  It was a hit!  We had almost 40 people there.  The food was great and we had so much fun that it was hard to put it all away!  We could have played all night!

Happy New Year! **2019**

We had a super fun New Year's Eve!  The Braeggars and the Burgons joined us for pizza and games and we had a great time and almost made it to midnight.  They all left around 11 and I headed to bed while Nick and the kids celebrated at midnight.  We have celebrated new years for the past 3 years with the Braeggars and it was fun to add the Burgons!

 On New Years Day, the girls and I went shopping to the mall.  We did some window shopping and then Alivia tried on some baptism dresses.  I think we found 'The One' but we are going to look just a little bit more and then we will decide!  I can't believe she will be 8 in March!!

After Christmas Party!!!

I love Christmas break so much!  We didn't plan a lot and we were able to just hang out and get things done around the house, play with toys and just relax.  The kids kept building legos and I was able to get closets cleaned out and some other cleaning done.  Gma & Papa came up the day after christmas and had dinner with us.  The missionaries stopped by for a quick minute and played corn hole with us.  We made a last minute decision to send the boys home with Gma & Papa on Thursday morning, and Nick was able to pick them up when he went down with Kaylee on Saturday to Sunday.  I kept Alivia home with me since her tonsils were huge and we took her in Saturday morning and sure enough, she had strep!  So we stayed home and missed the last 3 hour church block of the year.  It is crazy to think it will be 2 hour church from now on.  I get to be a CTR7 Teacher for Alivia's class this upcoming year.  It will be great!

Our Christmas Day!

We enjoyed our traditional Monkey Bread for breakfast and spent most of the morning and afternoon playing with our new gifts.  Carson and Kaylee got some pretty fun mini legos that create the titanic and a cute dog.  It took all day to get them built, but they turned out great.

 Grandma & Grandpa Brower joined us for dinner.  We had a pot pie from Costco, which was amazing!  Then we played some Corn Hole and a game of "Knock your Neighbor" before they headed home.  It was just a laid back, perfect Christmas Day.

{Christmas Morning 2018}

I love that my kids have the same tradition I had when I was a kid.  All the kids sleep in the same room.  I could hear the kids up a few times in the night to use the bathroom, but I don't think any of them tried to peek in the family room.  I told them not to get up until 7, but by 6:15, we could hear them all talking.  So we let them come out and get the fun started!!
 I love seeing the excitement on their faces to see what Santa brought and the fun of opening all the presents under the tree.  Some of the bigger presents the kids got were: Carson got a new cell phone, Kaylee got a Kindle, Alivia a sloth with tons of LOL doll stuff, and Preston got material for a DIY Nerf Gun wall.  They were all thrilled!

 The kids also got Lagoon Passes!  We are all very excited about that!  It will sure make our summer a lot of fun!

 One of the gifts we gave to the girls, were tickets to go see the play "Wicked" in February.  They were so excited about it!  We will get to go with Grandma Karen, Aunt Tamra and all the girl cousins.

It took us a few hours so slowly open everything up.  It was such a wonderful morning and was also an amazing Christmas Day!
