Daniel Boone

Carson has been working really hard on his report on Daniel Boone and he got it all finished and turned in on his poster.  The next big thing to complete this project was to dress up as Daniel Boone and participate in a Wax Museum as Daniel Boone.  With a trip to the DI and borrowing some stuff from friends, we got a costume put together and on Wednesday, the 16th, I was able to go see him and his class mates in the wax museum.  It was so cool to see them all and they looked fantastic!

I had left the kids at Brittany's house while I went to the school and when I picked them up Alivia showed me her awesome wig she had found.  Adorable!
After school, I dropped the older kids off at Dance and the younger kids and I went to get a few things from Smith's and enjoyed a donut with green sprinkles!
It was St. Patrick's Day on Thursday and we got tricked with some green milk!  It made our cereal, chocolate milk and oatmeal pretty interesting!
Alivia had a green feast that day and so she took pickles to share with everyone.  She also took some birthday muffins to celebrate her Birthday.

The weather was so nice that afternoon, the kids spent time helping dad pull out more rocks and move rocks to the vacant lot across the street.  They loved using the fourwheeler and new yard trailer.

Biking, Bowling and Pie!

The Saturday after my birthday, the weather was nice enough that we were able to go out for a bike ride!  Brittany, Danielle, Jentri and myself all went.  (Dan was also there and made a great photographer!)  We are all doing the Spudman Triathlon in July so we are excited to get training!  I got home to find the kids and Nick putting together the trailer they had bought that morning while I was riding.  They plan to use it to haul rocks, dirt, and anything else they can think of to get the yard ready for grass.  Carson was as excited as a kid at Christmas.

We got cleaned up and were headed out the door to go bowling at a Modern Woodman chapter activity when we saw Brother Shaw with his alpacas walking down the street.  We got to say hi and check them out before we left.  Such a funny thing!
We bowled at Weber State's bowling alley.  We invited the Jeppson's to come with us and some of the McConkies were also there.  Preston skunked us all and ended up winning!  It was a fun afternoon.  We haven't been bowling for awhile.

After we bowled, we headed down to Woods Cross to visit friends and to sell some of the Little Caesar's Fundraiser cards that Kaylee is selling.  We met up with the Tanner's and Youngberg's for dinner at Panda.  It was so fun seeing every one!

That night we got home pretty late, but I still had to make a bell chart for the Easter songs we were learning.  It made for a LONG day, but such a fun one!
On Monday, we enjoyed family home evening and then pie for dessert since it was pie day!  (March 14th).  I made cookie pie and we enjoyed it at the McConkies.

What a Thursday!!!

Thursday was a very unexpected amazing day!!  It started with a good day at choir that morning!  Then I took Preston to Danielle's house so I could take Alivia on her field trip to Ifly!  It was so awesome!  I had paid ahead of time to have Alivia get a chance to fly and she was so excited!  When it was time to suit up, they needed extra help with the kids, so they offered me to help and in return I could fly for free.  It was so fun!!  It was so great to get to have that experience with Alivia.  The kids were all so brave and did a great job!

When I got home, I met Nick there who had picked up Preston.  For my birthday he offered to watch the kids while Brittany and I had a day of shopping.  We left right after lunch and I got my eye lashes done while Brittany ran errands, then we continued to Farmington station where we did some shopping and had way too much fun trying on clothes!  We had dinner at Zupa's, my favorite!  Yum!  Then did more shopping and met up with Danielle for even more shopping and dessert at Twigs.  It was seriously the funnest day and I am so grateful to have such good friends and a husband who makes it possible to have days like this.  Between the ifly field trip, lashes, shopping, and food, it was just the perfect day.  I can't wait to do it again soon!

We really like our Hot Cocoa

Wednesday this past week started with a good workout while the kids read.  As I was putting away my weights, I turned around to see the kids using my resistance bands to do a move I had just done.  It was kind of funny!
Every morning, at least 2 of the 4 kids have hot cocoa.  That morning, it was all four and it was so cute seeing them all sitting there sipping on their mugs!

We got the kids out the door and I started picking up the house from the morning chaos.  I had cleaned out Kaylee's backpack and found the cutest writing page of Kaylee's.  It said:  "When I grow up I want to be a pediatrician.  The first reason is because I love babies.  I enjoy being around them.  Next I love how cute they are.  Last, I want to make good money.".  Such a smart girl!
That afternoon we met up with Dawn and her kids at Arctic Circle for some lunch!  It was great!  It was nice to get the kids out of the house and enjoy some fun!

That night Nick held scouts at our house and they did a fun ice cream dessert to say goodbye to one of the scouts that was turning 12 that week.  They only have one 11 yr old scout now, but by May, Garret will be in, and then Carson will be there in July.  He can't wait!
Carson has also been working really hard on his report on Danielle Boone.  He was able to get it all done to turn it in on Thursday.  It looked great!  They are doing a wax museum coming up on Wednesday, so we are on the lookout for a costume.

I am 35!

It is crazy to think I am 35!  When did that happen??  I don't feel that old, but I guess that is what it is!  I got up early and got in a workout before Choir, then took Livy to speech.  She did great!  I came home to a yummy cupcake from my friend and visiting teaching partner Maria Johnson.

My friend Brittany made us lunch and we hung out for a bit.  I taught dance that evening and then came home to a wonderful dinner of Italian Chicken and rice that Brittany had made and had our family over for dinner.  The best part was the Chocolate Strawberries for dessert!  YUM!!! She knows me well!

We had a fun night of food, legos, bubblegum and friends!

When I got home I saw these cute Birthday Wishes on my door (which I found out later was two girls in the ward!)  It was such a perfect Birthday day!!!  I couldn't have asked for a better day!
