TT, Eye Dr, Choir, and Donuts!

The rest of our week was plenty busy!  Alivia had talking time Tuesday like normal and did great!  She really loves it!  Since Preston was sick on Monday I didn't dare take him to Dawn's house, so Nick came home from school early to watch Preston so I could take Livy.

Wednesday, Carson had an eye doctor's appointment.  It was just a check up and his eye sight was the same, which means we don't need a new pair of glasses yet.  However, he has almost outgrown his glasses, so I am sure by his birthday we may need a new pair.  The rest of Tuesday was busy with piano lessons, homework, and a Primary Meeting.

Wednesday evening was busy.  I taught piano until 6, but Carson had a Bball game at 5:45 so Nick took the older kids (Preston was asleep) and made it to the game early and Preston and I got there after I was done teaching.  I caught the last quarter.  He didn't score and barely had the ball, but he is so new at bball that he has a lot to learn and I think with some coaching and time he will be a better player.  After the game we headed to Costco to pick up a few groceries and grab a hot dog and pizza for dinner.  We rushed home in time for me to go to a Baptism Visit with Jan P. and then get a few more groceries at Smith's.   Thursday was Choir for Livy.  We have decided that the older kids will skip this semester.  Kaylee is taking a tumbling class on Thursdays and Carson has been overwhelmed with homework and all the extra things he is doing so we figured having another free day will help him not be so frustrated and overwhelmed.  Preston fell asleep on the way to take Alivia so we just hung out until she was done.  She LOVES to sing and it is so cute when I hear her singing around the house.

Thursday evening, Nick took the kids to Dads and Donuts.  I went early to help set up and took the little kids home with me about halfway through.  While I was there I found Kaylee's snowflake on the Birthday bulletin board.

They had a great time and of course the donuts where yummy!  This last picture is of Kaylee after I did her hair on Friday.  This picture doesn't show it, but her hair is getting pretty long!  I think she is pretty excited about it too!

Monday, Oh Monday!

I woke up last Monday determined to get a lot done.  I did the Insanity Fit Test and saw some great improvement!  I don't think I will continue to do insanity every day, but at least twice a week along with my Jillian Videos and treadmill/bike workouts.  After I got the kids to school, the rest of us slowly got ready Preston surprised me by throwing up after just starting breakfast!  He threw up a few more times that day and didn't have an appetite at all.  He was obviously not feeling well since he slept most of the day and snuggled up with me.  At one point he was in my bed and I had given him a bowl (just in case) and I found him asleep with the bowl on his head!

A few times he did act a little like himself, but it was short lived.  I feel so bad when my kids are sick!  It is the worst!

After piano and dinner we made up some sugar cookies that we had gotten from a neighbor gift.  They were HUGE!  They looked like snowmen and the kids loved it!

Preston was feeling much better by bedtime and the rest of the week he was just fine!  He never had a fever or any other symptoms, so who knows what he had, but I was glad it was short lived!

The rest of our break!

So we got through Christmas, the wedding, and New Year's Eve.  The rest of our break has been just chillin' mostly at home.  We got Christmas put away and have just enjoyed playing with friends and with our new toys.  If Preston isn't playing with his toys you can find him playing with my shoes in my closet.  I constantly find him putting on my shoes (and Livy's) and walking around the house.  I think he likes the noise they make.  He is such a funny kid!  Between that and wearing qtips in his ears he keeps us all entertained!

I got to slip away for a bit on Friday to take my good friend Jen out to lunch for her bday.  We enjoyed some Smokin' Bones.  I just love her to pieces!  Her and I have so much in common and think alike so much it is scary!  We even had the same wedding dress, if that doesn't tell you how much alike we are.  I could spend hours a day talking with her and so it was fun to get a chance to just hang out, without kids!
On Saturday, I got up early and went to a running class with my friend Dawn at City Creek.  Her husband was awesome and watched all the kids so we could go since Nick was working.  After he got home from work, we headed to Orem to see Chris and Krissy's new place and take them dinner.  We had a fun time, but didn't stay too long because Preston was a maniac!  We did enjoy a game and some Oreos Krissy had made before heading home.

We stopped on the way home and bought Carson some basketball shoes.  I think he will be ready for his first game on Wednesday.  This year we have early church at 9 AM.  Even though it is early, I really like having the rest of the day to be home.  We did a combined singing/sharing time to help preview all the program songs for the year.  It went great.  After church I was able to make invites for the Baptism Preview and the Priesthood Preview and also started on making the CTR towels for the kids that are getting baptized this year.  There are 17 of them, and I got 6 made today.  It may take a few more Sundays to get them all finished.
As fun as our Christmas Break has been, I am so ready for the kids to go back to school and get back into our normal routine!  So I better head to bed so I could get up early!

New Year's Celebration!

We had a pretty low key New Year's Eve but it was still a lot of fun.  We had taco soup for dinner and then played a few games with the kids.  We played Scrabble and Who What Where, a funny drawing game that is hilarious!  When made popcorn and watched the ball drop Eastern Standard Time.  Thank goodness for internet so we could watch it drop love from New York! The kids loved blowing their horns and throwing the streamers.  I had picked them up at the grocery store just hours before our party!  We were in bed by 10:30, but awoke to fireworks at midnight.  We all got to sleep in the next morning and it was great!

Temple Phone Pics!

Just a few pics I wanted to share that I took on my phone on our way to the Temple last Tuesday.  Everyone looked so cute all dressed up for Chris's wedding.  The kids had so much fun playing in the youth room.  It was a great day!

Swim Party!

The night before the wedding (Last Monday) everyone went swimming at the hotel everyone was staying at.  We had some pizza before we swam.  It was so fun to be with everyone!  Nick stayed home with Preston while I took the older kids with me.  Alivia had so much fun she had a complete meltdown when we left.  It didn't help that she was tired!  But it was a great evening!
