It is crazy to me that it is already March!! I swear it was just Christmas! We had a busy week and I can't even remember what we did. I just looked at the Calendar to remind me. It was a typical week for piano (I teach Mon, Tues, and Wed after school), the kids both had lessons (Carson is on Monday and Kaylee is on Tuesday), then Carson had scouts, Kaylee dance, and both had choir. Whew! And that is just the normal stuff. Add on that an annual physical for me on Monday, a wonderful afternoon at City Creek on Tuesday, a book fair meeting Wednesday, Carson had a field trip to the Story Telling Festival in Layton on Wednesday, another meeting at the credit union to finish up some new IRA stuff we have set up on Thursday, and a fun dancing date night on Saturday. It was a good week. So let's recap with some details of the highlights! Sorry for the long post, but maybe someday I can blog more often so they aren't so long!
My friend Jen mentioned how she likes to just go walk around with her boys on nice days at City Creek in SLC, so we thought it was the perfect weather for it on Tuesday and would give us a chance to get out of the house! Our friend Deb also came along with her boys, making Livy the only girl out of all the kids. It was seriously SO awesome. The weather, the atmosphere, and the company couldn't be beat! It was just what I needed! Livy and Preston loved it! And it was nice only have half of the kids to deal with. There is a little dinosaur play area in the food court that we stopped and let the kids play at. It was just the best afternoon I have had in a long time! Can't wait to do it again!

During all of the running around we did, we still had daily chores to do and things to get done. During one afternoon, while Preston was napping, Livy entertained herself with water in the sink. My older kids love this, which I hope will turn into them loving to do dishes someday! Preston is always watching the older kids and has learned to be pretty smart about how to get where he wants to be. He will use stools, toys, and now laundry baskets to help him get up onto things and into things. He is probably one of our most busy babies. He isn't a trouble maker, but just is so much more busy than I remember our other kids being, but maybe you just forget!

I had a very rare thing happen last week. After taking Kaylee to school, I came home and let the kids watch a show and let Preston relax and get ready for his nap. Well, he fell asleep on my lap, which like never happens, and then as soon as I realized he was asleep I looked over to see that Livy had also fallen asleep. So I put Preston in his crib and got some stuff done around the house while BOTH of the babies had a nap. It was pretty nice!

Kaylee is getting so smart. I have said before that she is very artistic and loves to draw and write. She left a cute love note for Nick one night before bed. She drew a rose and I just that it was so cute. She even used a heart for her "O" in love. I was able to go to the school on Friday to get some book fair flyers printed off and to help in Carson's classroom. While I was there I was also able to help take some pictures of Kaylee's class doing some fun Dr. Seuss celebrations in her class. It was a fun day at school for her and it makes me so excited how well she is reading. I also have signed up Carson for an ExtraMath program online that his teacher sent a flyer home about. I was able to sign up Kaylee too, and she did really well with it this morning. It is just so great to see your kids learn and excel. Carson read a chapter book over the weekend and got 90% on his AR test today. We have struggled all year with those tests and his comprehension, so it was good to see that he can really work hard and apply himself and do well.

Friday night ended up being a fun movie night. Since we had such a busy week, it was nice to just enjoy some leftovers and rent "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2" from redbox. The kids loved it. Saturday was also a day of cleaning, organizing, and just getting stuff done around the house. Nick and I took turns going to the lab at our dr's office to finish blood work from our physical. Just to check our cholesterol and thyroid levels. We had to fast for the blood test and didn't know that when we had gone for our checkups, so we took advantage of the Saturday hours they offer to complete it. We had one of our sitters, Megan, come and watch the kids while Nick and I headed to Ogden for a "Dancing with your Star" date night. It was put on by Weberstate USU extension office that did the 5 love language date night the week before. It was at a dance studio and the teacher, Carrie, did a great job teaching us the basic moves for the foxtrot and the cha cha. Even though Nick isn't the best dancer, I was really grateful that he was willing to even come and do this with me. I love to dance and it was fun to do something different than just dinner. However, we did grab a quick bite at Rumbi grill in Layton on our way there.
Sunday, we enjoyed sleeping in past 8. That is the upside of 1 o'clock church. I normally don't take pictures at church, but we got there early and we were just waiting for it to start and the kids looked really cute so I took a few with my phone. Carson and Kaylee did a great job getting a long during Sacrament meeting, when normally they annoy each other the whole time. Alivia was a little wiggly and asked to go potty twice to get out. Which was fine since Nick spent 90% of the time out in the foyer with Preston. He is such a stinker. Nick won't let him get down and play out there, but he still would rather sit still on his lap there then come and sit quietly with us on the bench. Makes me wonder why we even go sometimes. But I guess there is purpose in all things, right?

I taught two new songs in Primary, "I Stand All Amazed" for the program and "I know that my Savior loves Me" for Easter. They did really well with it and in Sr. Primary I got very emotional when it was time to wrap up and bare my testimony. I really enjoy my calling, even though it is a lot of work. I think I learn more than the kids do! We enjoyed sloppy joes for dinner and then had popcorn AND ice cream before going to bed. I guess that is what happens on Fast Sundays! I went to bed a little stressed though thinking of the things I had to accomplish today and this week. I had a PTA meeting today and not only did I need to finish planning the Grand Even for the upcoming book fair, but I had to put together fliers for it. But I was so thankful for all the women who came and helped me put them together. We had them done in no time and then enjoyed our meeting with some lunch from Kneaders. I was also grateful for Nick who came home early and watched the kids so I didn't have to deal with them for my long afternoon spent at the school.

I got home in time to chat with Nick for a bit and then go pick up the girls from school. The boys rode their bikes today. Then I taught 4 piano lessons and then we all had a yummy pork roast and mashed potatoes for dinner. I love using the crockpot on my piano days. It makes it so much easier for dinnertime. It was almost 7 before we were done cleaning up dinner and so we started right into homework and reading. We decided tonight that we may have to do FHE on a different night since Mondays are so crazy! The kids had a snack before bed and Alivia really wanted Ice Cream, but since she didn't eat her dinner I told her no. She was not happy about that and had a fit for about 20 minutes before she finally settled on having a banana before going to bed. Whew! It was a full day. And tomorrow should be just as fun and busy!
