A day in the sun...

Today I took Kaylee and Carson to Hogan Park to enjoy the decent weather we had today. It was so fun being able to use my new double jogger stroller. I thought I had done a pretty good job keeping both of the kids covered, not only from getting chilly, but from the sun. But tonight, I realized that Kaylee had a little pinkness to her, and Carson had even more red on his little ears! I didn't even give it a thought to put sunscreen on them. It wasn't that hot of a day, but of course it was a little overcast which is probably the worst for getting sunburnt! So sad to say, at only 2 1/2 months old, Kaylee got her first sunburn! Sorry sweetie, I promise I will be more proactive at keeping your skin from being freckled! Love ya!

Kangaroo Zoo!

On Wednesday, a bunch of the moms from my neighborhood went to Kagaroo Zoo! It is a basically a building full of these big blow up toys that the kids get to play on! It was fun for Carson to get out and play! With the weather here being so on and off of being warm enough to play outside, this was a great way to go crazy and just pLaY! The cost was just a few dollars, since he isn't three yet, but it is around $7 to $8 depending on if it is a weekday or weekend. Checkout the website if you are planning on going, cause I got a $2 off coupon online. It would be a fun place for a bday party!

A few pictures to share!

I haven't had a chance to get pictures from my camera lately, so now that I have, I had a few fun pictures to share. This first one is of my two handsome boys all dressed up to go to church yesterday!
Last week, April 6th, after my mom got done singing at Conference we all met at my house (Matt, Natalie, Chris, Dad, and our family) and had dinner and dessert for her Birthday! I won't say exactly how old she is, but let's just say she now qualifies to eat off the seniors menu at Sizzler! :) It was a fun day! Enjoying conference and getting to spend time with my family! I also made conference cakes for the first time. (It is a type of bread that you put brown sugar & butter belly buttons in and eat with whip cream and hot chocolate milk). I usually fail everytime I try and make something with yeast! But they actually turned out this time! So maybe I will attempt rolls again someday!
Grandma & Grandpa making Kaylee Smile! Awhile ago, I found Carson underneath the piano after eating a roll of smarties...but with no wrapper to be found I figured out he probably put the wrapper inside my Clavinova Piano. (There are these little holes that are in the bottom speaker part!) Then I realized that he had put in more than just wrappers! He had a hole collection of toys and what not...see the next picture to see exactly what he had put in there! Luckily Nick was able to take the piano apart and clean it out! It is funny now, but not at the time!
2 smartie wrappers, a flashlight, highlighter and 3 tools from his play tool set!
This next picture is of Carson helping me make his favorite lunchtime dish...Mac & Cheese! He is always by my side anytime I am cooking or baking! He loves being in the Kitchen with me, and for the most part I don't mind, until he tries to be too helpful and makes a bigger mess for me to clean up!

Thank You Lindsey!

Okay, so thanks to Lindsey B. I figured out how to change the background and stuff! Yeah! That was very helpful! I even added music! :) How fun! Thanks again!

Blog Layouts...

I see all of these really cute blogs that I visit, and I can't figure out how to make mine cute! Luckily my good friend Jana helped me create this new blog header, but I still don't know how to make the background a different color to match it better. So if any of you know, please call me or email me! I think Jana's husband Ike knows, and so I just might have to bug him a bit!

Sorry I don't have anything else fun to blog about today, but maybe tomorrow!

Oops....

Carson and I made Cupcakes Thursday, and I had put them in this container and put them on the countertop. When I got home from the dentist, I walked in the house and saw them upside down on the floor. While Nick had the kids outside, Carson must have come in wanting a cupcake, and tried getting one himself, and ended up knocking them off onto the floor! It was really funny...and Nick was great enough to help clean it up! Luckily, I still had about 3 that survived, that were not in the container so we were able to enjoy at least one of them!

Very Engaging...

My sister in law Natalie, has a beautiful sister that just got engaged. They needed some engagement pictures taken, and didn't have enough time to find a photographer, so I attempted to help them out (thank you to them for trusting me enough to let me help them) and I think they turned out pretty fun! It was so fun taking their picture!! They are such a cute & fun couple! Here are some of our favorites!

Big Smiles!

So Kaylee finally smiled for the first time on my Birthday, but it is hard to get it with the camera, since she doesn't always smile on command...but it is getting easier and easier to make her smile! She is always full of smiles first thing in the morning, it is fun to wake up to!
And then of course there is our fun loving Carson, who is always smiling! I think he gets it from his dad. I've been told that Nick was always smiling as a kid....and would always cheese it, and if I tell Carson to smile, he gives me a big cheese grin just like his dad would do in pictures I have seen from when he was little!

All dressed up

We finally took Kaylee to our own ward for the first time last Sunday! (Besides her blessing). She did so good! I thought this little dress was so cute on her! It was nice to feel like we can start being normal again finally after the new baby and all the sickness we have had in our home recently!

Itsy Bitsy...

So if you can't tell, Carson and Luke are singing along to Carson's Radio DJ! The song...Itsy Bitsy Spider. One of the favorites from Nursery. I think we sing that song at least 10 times a day, radio or not! This morning Luke came to play for a bit, and they are so cute together when they do stuff like this! Other times, two 2 yr olds can make sharing toys a very hard thing to do! But after the dust settles, they always remain good friends! To bad adults aren't always as fast to forgive and forget...maybe there is something to be learned from toddlers!
I put this cute outfit on Kaylee today that she got from her Aunt Tamra. I thought it was very fitting, since she has Nick wrapped around her finger already! I also love to put the little bows on her bald little head. Thanks Katie for the supply! They are fun to use!
