Brower Reunion at Bear Lake-Day 1

We have been so excited all summer for the Brower Reunion.  Matt & Natalie planned it this year and it was at Bear Lake.  Nick and I went to Bear Lake when we were first married, but probably haven't been back in over 12 years.  So we were excited to take our kids there for the first time.  We left home last Thursday around 10:30 after we made a quick trip to the ENT to pick up Kaylee's ear plugs.  We met up with Matt & Nat at Smith & Edwards, where we gladly gave them Kaylee to ride with their girls so Carson could sit in the back of the truck instead of the front with us.  It made everyone happy!  We stopped in Logan at Arby's for a quick lunch and then headed through Logan Canyon and to Bear Lake.  We stayed at Epic Campground for the weekend.  It is just five miles south of the 3 way stop coming into bear lake and just passed the Pickleville playhouse.  We got there and got camp all set up and the trailer set up while the kids got in their swim suits and had a snack.

We decided to do a little bit of boating that afternoon before dinner.  While Matt & Natalie got the boat in the water at the marina which was about 7 miles back North again, we walked down to the beach from the trailer.  We had to walk out to a sandbar which was half of the fun.  It was ankle deep to knee deep and the kids had a fun time walking in it.  The weather was beautiful.  The lake was like glass and it wasn't too hot.  It made us really excited!

We got on the boat  and Carson was excited to try to water ski using the trainer board they had.  He tried a couple times but just couldn't get up.  Kaylee tried next and got up on her first try!!!  She did so good.  She even got up a second time before calling it quits.  The kids enjoyed being on the boat and taking a swim breaks.

Nick and I both got to water ski as well.  The lake was perfect for skiing!  Matt and Natalie also got a chance to ski before heading back to camp for a late dinner.

When we got back to camp, Tiffany & Aaron where there and so was my mom and dad and Chris.  They got their tents all set up while we cooked hot dogs for dinner.  We spent the rest of the evening just visiting and enjoying the warm weather.
