Saturday we did some more swimming in the morning, had breakfast in the buffet, and went and watched Winnie the Pooh. That is a CUTE movie! I recommend watching it with your kids! There is plenty of humor to keep the adults all entertained! After the movie went to a lunch buffet, which was mostly seafood, but we also found some yummy chicken and potatoes!
After Lunch, Dad and Kaylee decided they needed a nap, so Carson and I went and did some exploring on our own. It was very windy outside, so we found a nice quiet spot on 9 FWD with a good view that we took some time and just relaxed at and talked. Then we walked to the back of the boat and watched out over the horizon at where we had been. It was very fun!
After Kaylee woke up, we took both of the kids to the Oceaneer lab around 4. They were doing a rehearsal for the Friendship Rocks Production that was to be performed at 5:00 in the Walt Disney Theater. That gave Nick and I a chance to pack up all of our stuff and get it all ready to go the next day. We had to have our bags outside our stateroom by 10:30 that night so they could get it all checked off the ship first thing on Sunday to make our departure easier. If not, it would be up to us to get our bags off the ship. And since we had like 7 of them, besides our 4 backpacks, we thought it would be best to have the Disney Crew take care of it! But it took some planning and it was good to get it all organized and ready without the kids being in the way. Besides, they had a blast getting ready for their performance. At 5 PM, we headed down to the theater and watched them both do a fun (and simple) dance along with all the other kids that where in the oceaneer lab with them. They did a slide show of pictures they took throughout the week, and of course since my kids had only been there two times, they weren't in the pictures. But they got a free tshirt!! (I read this tip online too....if they participate in the performance on the last day, they get a free shirt! So why not?). It was great!
After the show, we went to dinner at Parrot Cay.
Kaylee of course had to wear her Minnie Costume, since she hadn't had a chance to wear it yet.

After dinner, we went to a show. It was basically a show that recapped the memories made over the week, but in Disney fashion. It was SO good. We also caved, and bought some popcorn from concessions for the kids. They liked that!
We headed back to the room to change into comfy clothes and go get an ice cream cone on Deck 9. But we checked out our cook towel origami and also got the pillowcases back from the Disney Characters!!!
The kids were pretty excited about them. We went up and walked around and got us an ice cream. We would have stayed outside, but it was cold and windy, so we headed back down to the Promenade Lounge on deck 3 for some more dancing.
We really did enjoy listening to these guys all week. Kaylee thought the girl was so pretty, cause she was!! And they really were a great music duo.
We finally had worn ourselves out and since we had to be up super early, we finally headed to bed. It was really sad to go to bed that night, knowing it was our last night. It had been such a fun week and I didn't want it to end. The only thing that made me excited to get home was Livy. We all missed her so much! We had to be out of our stateroom by 8:30 in the morning, which was easy since we had to be to breakfast by 7:30 AM. But when we went to breakfast we had to be all ready to disembark the ship. So we loaded up our backpacks and headed out.
At breakfast they had some more fun napkin folding and some yummy food!
We had Gray Daisy tags for our luggage, and we were the second ones called to disembark, so right as we got done with breakfast we practically walked right off the ship. Then we had to go through customs and then finally got through the port to pick up our luggage and then out to the parking lot to get it all loaded.
We left LA at approx 9:30 and drove straight, stopping in Barstow for lunch, then stopped in Beaver for gas, then made it to Holden around 7:00 PM. It was a long drive, but for the most part the kids just slept....and they found quite the positions to sleep in!
Livy wasn't so sure about us when she first saw us. She was pretty happy being with Grandma Karen, which told me she got along just fine while we were gone. But it took her until at least the next day for her to warm back up to me, and now she knows who her momma is again! Oh, we had such a good time. It is sad to be back to reality, but it was also fun to come home and get back to reality. If that makes any sense? We had originally planned on staying the night Sunday, since we didn't know if we would get to Holden early enough, but since we got there so early, we made it home by 10 easily, so we could sleep in and get a jump start on unpacking and laundry Monday. It was also Halloween, and the kids had the day off, so Nick also took the day off to help get us all unpacked and get ready for Halloween night. I cannot wait to go on another Disney Cruise. And I know we will, we just need to start planning for it again right now! I would highly recommend a Disney cruise to anyone, with or without kids! They are amazing!!!
As I get older the holidays seem to come faster and faster! But it is my favorite time of year so I don't mind!
I think she is around 14 to 15 lbs now. She goes in next month for her next check up. We still all adore her and we are excited to see how she continues to grow! Including her hair, which has started to come in thick now!
Kaylee had school this week and made some really fun crafts. First is her Pilgrim hat and then she made an Indian hat the next day. They were cute!
On Friday, Nick and I had a fun date night with dinner and the Bells Concert. We went to sizzler, since we had a coupon, and we love that place, especially the cheese toast. I ordered my steak well done, and it came back very pink and with a lot of fat on it. I asked the waitress if they could cook a bit more, then she also noticed how fat it was so she just got me a new steak. I was happy with that, but the manager I guess wanted to make sure we were satisfied, so we got a plate of shrimp out of it and $10 certificate for our next visit. Nice! All I wanted was a steak that wasn't still mooing, but we got that plus more! It was a good week for the most part, minus the small part of me scratching a good section of the side of the van on a pole while driving into a car wash. Ugh!!! I guess we will put that on our list of things that need to be repaired! Isn't there always something! We are getting excited for Thanksgiving, but it makes me realize that means Christmas is also coming and I don't have as much shopping done and ideas for presents as I would like, so I better get to it! But I love this time of year....it is the best!
Okay, this is the best thing we have discovered....Skookies!!!! Basically a really yummy warm cookie baked in a skillet, topped with Ice Cream and fudge! They are amazing!!! Yum!
They joined a few other friends at the park for some sledding....but I think they weren't sledding on snow as much as they were sledding on dirt. They came home covered in dirt, but they sure had fun!

Of course we were prepared with our own stash of candy to pass out! And we ended up running out, so it was a busy night!
For the first time, I took the kids around while Nick stayed home and passed out candy. Now that the kids are older, it is really fun and easy to take them. I even pushed Livy around in the stroller, and she didn't make a peep. She loved it! It also helped that the weather was amazing!
The kids had some candy before getting ready for bed that night, but for the most part, with Nick's help, the candy mysteriously disappeared pretty fast. (Nick took it to work and shared it...at least he said he shared it!).
I admit, I also helped diminish the stash of candy.....but Almond Joy's and Laffy Taffy's are some of my favorite!
