Bowling!

We hadn't done anything too creative for 'fun' for FHE lately, so Nick and I decided we should take the kids bowling Monday night. They LOVED it! I was glad that they gave us the end lane, so we didn't feel to crowded or feel like we might be bothering any one else. Shortly after we got there, they turned off the lights and made it into cosmic bowling. The kids thought that was pretty cool!
The kids were pretty silly and came up with the funniest moves to celebrate when they would knock down the pins! Especially Carson, he was such a ham!

Kaylee especially loved carrying her own ball around....I was surprised how strong she was!

We did pretty good with our scores! (Just don't take in that fact that not only the kids had bumpers, but I also did too. Nick did pretty good considering he didn't have that advantage!)

Carson has been asking me every day since if we can go bowling tonight? I keep telling him that we might have to wait awhile before we go, but we will definitely go again! It was probably one of our most FUN FHE we have had in a long time! Can't wait to do it again!

Football Weekend!

We have been super busy with school, work, and lots of play! I don't have many pictures of what we did between Conference Weekend and UEA, but we stayed busy with scouts, date night, working on cars and trucks, and enjoying the last warm days before fall and winter hit! On Friday we headed up to Tremonton and picked up Gma & Gpa Brower before making it to Idaho Falls to visit Marisa and her family. Once we got to her house, we left Carson to play with his cousins, while we went and visited Gma Edstrom. She had knee surgery a few weeks ago and so she is recovery from that, but doing very well. We visited for a bit, ate a yummy glazed donut and then headed back to Marisa's for dinner. She made a yummy Spaghetti Pie. Then we had a movie night complete with Ice Cream! It was great!!! The kids really enjoyed the ice cream part!
I also think Grandpa liked it to! Okay, we ALL did! It was a custom ice cream Ris got for her bday. It had Oreos and caramel in it!

On Saturday Morning we all went to Braydon's champion football game at 9 AM. It was so fun to see him play! He is the teams kicker. They did a great job and won the game 12 to 6. Here is Braydon's fan club.

It was a little cool, but as soon as the sun came out it was a beautiful morning for a football game!

Kaylee and Mayci were so cute!!! All the kids had so much fun playing with all the cousins and cheering for Braydon.

I loved being able to spend time with my wonderful sister and her amazing family! I love that we are both pregnant together (for the 2nd time in a row!). I only wished she lived closer!!!

After the game we had homemade pizza at Ris's house before heading back home. Since Nick had to work Friday and Saturday and was unable to come with us, we were excited to get home and spend some time with dad. We took the kids to McDonalds for dinner Saturday night and then enjoyed a quiet Saturday evening at home. On Sunday, we went to church. I was asked to sub and teach the relief society lesson. It was on Repentance. I have never taught a lesson for RS and so it was a little out of my comfort zone, but I learned a lot and I was relieved when it was over! :) Overall it was a great weekend. It is crazy to think that October is over halfway over now and Halloween is approaching quickly! But we are going to enjoy it as much as we can!

Guess What.....

Today was my 16 week appt with my OB Dr. While I was there not only did I get a flu shot, but we also did an ultra sound and were able to find out that we are having a girl!!! I had a feeling it was a girl, so I wasn't too surprised! I think Nick is a little overwhelmed, just because the girl we already have is quite a handful! But we are excited and so are the kids! Now we have 5 1/2 more months to get used to this fact and figure out all the logistics for having another girl! And to come up with a name....feel free to leave a suggestion!

More Free Stuff.....

I am not sure how he does it, but my husband has a way of attracting FREE things. Free cars, toys, furniture, chain saws, and just about anything else you can think of. Here are a few of his latest finds. Our neighbors next door who were renting just moved out, and they left quite a bit of stuff that they just didn't want to take with them. We helped find a place for most of the stuff, like bunk beds and dressers, but we did keep something we thought Carson would like. A chopper bike, battery powered! It needed some work with the wiring, but after just a little bit of work, Nick had it up and running like new. The kids have played with it every day since! It is pretty fun to watch them ride it. It goes pretty fast too, even faster than Carson's four wheeler. The best part about this bike is the training wheels on it. With out them, I don't think it would be a very safe ride!
Nick has been looking for years for a way to build a lawnmower to race in the annual Lawn Mower Races in Fillmore during the Fourth of July. Well, he finally scored a really nice riding lawn mower! It has no engine, but it was free and this way he can build it just the way he wants it! The only downside, is that it adds to the pile of 'toys' on the side of the house that are 'projects'.

Carson was super excited about this next find. A free basket ball hoop stand. It isn't in the best shape, but it works great and Carson had it all planned out how to set it up so he could play basketball from the trampoline! He is pretty good at making his shots!

The nice thing about free stuff, is that if we ever decide we don't need or want it anymore, it doesn't hurt my feeling to bad to pass it on to someone else, give it to DI, or take it to the dump. Our trampoline and swingset were used when we got them and we have a garage full of fourwheelers, bikes, and toys that were free. So don't think we spoil our kids on purpose, but hey, if someone is going to offer you free stuff....why say no and miss out on getting pictures like this....

Kaylee's First day of Preschool

Today Kaylee went to her first day of Preschool at The Learning Lodge Preschool. A girl in our ward and neighborhood is her teacher. We can easily walk to school and we are super excited for this school year! She has several friends from nursery in her class and after I picked her up she said "It was GOOD!". She didn't hesitate to go and was so excited all morning to go to school! Here is what she looked like on her first day of school! She insisted on posing with the pumpkins too!
I think we are BOTH going to love her being gone for a few hours twice a week. She thrives in a group and teaching environment. I think she likes all the attention and it keeps her busy and she loves learning!

Conference Weekend!

We spent this past weekend at the Cabin in Holden! We got there Saturday morning in time for a yummy brunch and some games!
We also did a bit of riding on the four wheeler and three wheeler! Kaylee loves it when Dad takes her for a ride!

Carson got pretty good at the game Uncle Ryan brought.

We relaxed and enjoyed the NICE NICE NICE weather! We played a really fun game called Quiddler. It is like Scrabble but with cards! It was fun and we spent both days playing it quite a bit!

Of course, the kids enjoyed just playing outside and getting VERY dirty! But hey, it's the cabin and that is what they do there!

We also ate a LOT of food and Candy!

Grandma and Grandpa Pace came up for dinner on Saturday, and even Grandma Pace got in on the action and did a very good job playing the ball toss game.

But the best part was watching her celebrate by jumping up and down with the kids!Of course, the kids loved being with their cousins!!!! Austyn and Carson.

They also enjoyed the hammock!

The funniest thing was when Kaylee had a bit of a tantrum and so to get her to calm down Nick took her on a three wheeler ride. Not too long after they left he returned to show us that Kaylee had fallen asleep while they were riding! It was so cute! Obviously, she was a little tired. Maybe from playing so hard?

We played a game of Bingo with the kids and they each won a puzzle! So before they went to bed Saturday Night they all got together to help put one of the puzzles together.

At the cabin, you can walk around the fields and find TONS of turkey feathers. Before we left the cabin today, Grandma Karen helped the kids make a turkey, with a plate and a bunch of feathers. When we got home, Carson wanted to wear his turkey, so Nick used a belt and attached the feathers to the kids! It was so funny to watch them run around like little turkeys!

It was a fun weekend for the kids! But I think it might take about 8 baths to get them completely clean and get all the dirt off of them!
