Kaylee's Room

We finally got it done!! But better late than never, right? We spent Saturday putting the room together, and doing some last minute errands to make sure we are completely ready for Kaylee on Wednesday! It was nice to actually be home on a Saturday, since it has been a few months since we have had that luxury! Carson is doing really well after his surgery, and he is taking some medicine and ear drops to make sure he doesn't get any infections. He also went and got fitted for some custom water ear plugs at the dr's on Friday. He was so good to sit still while they filled his ear with goop! We will keep you all posted and try to post some pictures of Kaylee as soon as we can!

Before & After....

So for the past 3 months of our lives, Nick and I have been working on this house in Tremonton, and a lot of you have been so great at supporting us, helping us, and just being there to give us encouragement! So THANK YOU!! I just thought I would post a few pictures to give you an idea of what we have done, and there are still a few finishing touches we need to do, the the lights over the bar, and the microwave over the stove is actually in, but not pictured. It has been so fun to see the transformation that this house has gone through!

Surgery Survival!!

Well, we all survived! We got up really early this morning and took Carson to Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, where Dr. Skedros put another set of tubes in Carson's ears, and took his adnoids out. Carson was so happy when we got there, even though it was early! He was good to let the nurse take all of his vitals, and he loved the gown he got to wear. It was so cute, they gave him a cute blue teddy bear, which carson named "Tom". While we had to wait for them to come and get Carson, we used Tom as a ball and played catch in the room. Carson had a blast with that! Sad to say though, Carson was not nearly as happy coming out of surgery as he was going in! He was pretty disoriented from the anesthesia, and we couldn't get him to calm down. He just kept saying "Home, Home..." so rather than staying the recommended hour or so to monitor him, they let us take him home earlier, which was nice since he calmed down as soon as we got in the car. The doctor said his ears looked pretty bad, and his adnoids were pretty big, so he is expecting Carson to do very well now that we have new tubes and his adnoids out. We have a check up in 3 weeks, and tomorrow we are going in to have the Audiologist make him some custom ear plugs that he can wear whenever he baths or goes swimming. Now that it has been a few hours since the procedure, he is happy as he normally is, and is playing with his play kitchen right now. Dad is working up in the nursery trying to get some finishing touches on it, so we can finally get the crib set up, and put it all together! :)

Just an update....we have scheduled a CSection for next Wed, Jan 30th at 7:30 AM. (I have to be there at 5:30.....early for me, but that is sleeping in for Nick). I have a few appts between now and then, and we hope to be able to find any signs that I can just go on my own, but if not, Wednesday it will be! I will keep you all posted! Have a fun weekend!!

Party Boy!

On Sunday, we had a Birthday Dinner with Aunt Natalie at their house in Ogden. Carson loved helping her blow out the candles on the cake. He also loved eating cake, especially the frosting! Happy 24th Natalie!!!

Carson loves to play with blocks and legos and build them up "high". He made this tower all by himself!! His favorite part about building them though, is knocking them back down!! :)

We are just enjoying this beautiful snowy morning here in Woods Cross. There are several inches that have fallen already! Carson loves the snow!

Big Helper!!

Carson is getting to be such a big helper! This morning, he helped me load the dishwasher, and he can ALMOST load the thing by himself if I would let him!! So yesterday we went and saw his Ear Doctor, and we have decided to put a 2nd set of tubes in his ears and have his adnoids out, and that will be done next Thurs. His hearing is not as good as it was last year after we put in the first set of tubes, so this should help improve his hearing and hopefully we will see him start talking even better!! I will let you know how he does!! Have a great weekend!

Crayon Uh-Oh!!

Carson looks happy today, and we can laugh about it today....but yesterday, he wasn't smiling about what he did! Carson and his friend Luke, decided to take coloring to a whole new level yesterday, and rather than asking for paper, found their own drawing board!! Obviously two year olds can create masterpieces in about 30 seconds, which is how long it took for me to realize what they were doing!! Oh well, at least it matches the black pen marks Carson drew for us upstairs in the hallway last week! Good thing we still have paint to fix it with....but I have a feeling this won't be the last time I have to remove drawings from the walls!! :)

Christmas 2007

Christmas was so fun this year! Carson had a blast, but I think Nick and I enjoyed it even more watching him open and play with all of his toys! He loves this little tool set he got! He also got a fun trampoline, which we are hoping he will use instead of the couches to jump on!! He is our little monkey and doesn't hold still for very long, so he loves it! (Ian loved it too!) We had a great Christmas this year since we were able to spend time with both of our families! I am sure that Christmas will become more & more fun as our kids get older! We can't wait!

Finally out of the dark ages....

Wow...I finally feel like I am up to date...I have a 'blog'! I have been putting off doing this, cause I thought it would be hard to figure out how to do it, but they make it very idiot friendly on how to set up a blog. So....my goal is to post to this blog often enough to let our friends and family know what is going on in our lives. With so much that everyone is doing, it is sometimes hard to send out letters, emails, or even make a phone call! Plus, I love that you can post pictures! How fun!! Especially with the to upcoming arrival of a new little baby girl, it will be nice to have the blog to share all the excitement! So here we go!!!
