The Big Concert Day!

Wednesday was a big day we had all been looking forward to!  The choir concert!  We had Honor Choir that morning and it went very well!!  I had to drag Preston along since I didn't have anywhere else for him to go.  He did great though!
After school, we took all the props over to the High School and then headed home to get the girls ready for the concert.  This was Alivia's first concert!!!  I love that Mrs. Chertudi let her join this spring!  She was adorable and did such a great job.  So did Kaylee!  She was wonderful!
Kaylee was a dancer for "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah", "Hit the Road Jack" and "Waka Waka".  Alivia danced for "If I Only had a Brain" and "Hit the Road Jack".   Kaylee also did some hand tap dancing on Puttin' on the Ritz.

Our Pirate number went great with the Hand Bells!  They even did special fun lighting that made it even more fun!

It was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa there, and even Grandma Pace was able to come again that night to watch!

It is such a fun choir program we have at our school and I am so blessed and lucky to be a part of it and to have my kids be part of it.  Such a blessing in our lives.  It does make life busy, but it is so worth it!!!

Just another crazy week......

Last Monday was just the beginning of a super crazy week in May at our house!  Tuesday, we had choir in the morning, I helped in Alivia's classroom at 9:30 and then had to be on a field trip with Preston at the Nursery by 10.  That was fun and Preston loved planting a flower for me!  He even had dirt for dessert!  The weather was perfect too!

After the field trip, I dropped him off at Nicole Braeggar's house for a few hours.  We had dance practice at lunch and then the school assembly was that afternoon before school got out.  I had left a note for Nick to help him know where and when everyone needed to go.  The assembly when great and then I had to head straight to the studio where we were having our recording session that day.  Carson had piano (that I had switched around so Alivia could do piano with Kaylee on Monday, since they had the recording session on Tuesday.).  The recording session went great!!!  This was the first time we were able to have it at our N. Ogden studio and didn't have to drive to Kaysville.

Once the recording session was over, we hurried back up to the High School so I could direct our handbell choir at the Orion Jr. High Choir Concert that night.  They did great, Kaylee rocked it, and then we headed back down to my studio to make sure everything was cleaned up!  It was a full day for sure!

Grandma Pace Comes to Visit!!!

Last Monday, Nick was able to pick up Grandma Pace, who now lives in South Ogden in an assisted living home, and bring her back to our house to hang out, have dinner and attend Kaylee & Carson's ballroom recital.  Nick had to get one last tree planted in the front!  That should do it for this year, and hopefully next year we can plant more in the back!

The kids did great at their ballroom recital that night.  It is fun to see what they have been learning, and there are more students this year which also makes it fun!

It was so great to have both Grandma Brower and Grandma Pace there to cheer them on!

Nursery Rhymes and a crazy busy beginning to MAY!

Two weeks ago, on a Monday, Preston had a Nursery Rhyme party at school!  So he dressed up as Yankee Doodle!  He was so cute!!!!

That night, Carson was made part of the Honor Society at Orion Jr. High in their ceremony at the school.  You have to have a 3.8 or higher GPA and get a ton of recommendations from teachers and other community people.  So proud of him!
Wednesday was a crazy day that week!  I didn't take a lot of pictures because my back camera was broken, but I could take selfies!  We had Alivia's 1st grade talent show that morning where she played the piano and danced with her friends (I will post about it when I download the pics of Nick's phone).  That afternoon we had dance pictures for Performance Academy.  Then I made it home in time to teach a few piano lessons and then go to a directors meeting for choir!  Welcome to the craziness that is MAY!!!
Alivia lost her tooth on Thursday!!!  She was so excited, but she lost her lost tooth before she even made it home from school.  Not to worry, she wrote the tooth fairy a letter and she still got a $1 that night!
Friday was awesome since we were able to go out to dinner with Dan and Brittany to Longhorn Steak House!  Yum!  SOOOO good!  And we all at too much!!!
Saturday, Nick had to work, but we kept busy with soccer games!!!!

It was both of the girl's last games for the year since the next week we would be at a Disneyland Rehearsal and would miss the final game.  Alivia won her game, but Kaylee's team lost 1-0.  It was sad, but they played hard!  After the games, we attended my cousin, Elise's baby shower in Layton before heading home!  We didn't really celebrate Cinco de Mayo until Sunday, when we had tacos for dinner!  Haha!!  We did get to go to a fun fireside to watch the super funny and outgoing speaker, Jason Hewlett.  He did such a great job and we were all laughing the whole time!
