Little Mermaid with Alivia!

Friday, after school I took Alivia to run some errands at the music store and I asked her where she wanted to have dinner, as a way to start celebrating her birthday.  She chose Costco for hotdogs!  It was a fun little date with her and she was thrilled to have just mommy and Alivia time!

Saturday was St. Patrick's day, so we had green pancakes for breakfast and we even found green water in the kitchen sink, possibly left by a leprechaun!  Alivia's friend Maycee stopped by with a birthday present and shortly after, Gma & Gpa Brower showed up so we could take Alivia to see the Little Mermaid at The Centerpointe Theatre.  Alivia was so excited to go!!!  Carson stayed and watched Kaylee & Preston, and they did amazing!  (More on that later).

The play was adorable and amazing!  Alivia giggled the whole way through it!  I was such a great afternoon!!!  She loved meeting all the characters afterward.

Alivia chose Texas Road House for dinner!  It was a LONG wait, but we finally got our food and Alivia was able to get on the saddle for a birthday shout out!  Such a great day all together!!!

So a quick side note...we asked Carson to babysit and asked Kaylee to be helpful to him.  When we left, we asked if they could find dinner okay, and they assured me they could.  We got this picture from them and they explained that they made shells and red sauce, meatballs and corn.  Wow!!!  They made such a great dinner all on their own.  The best part was when we got home, the house was clean, the kitchen was spotless and they had fresh baked cookies (Otis Spunkmeyer) waiting for us on a platter.  Wow!  It was such a proud parent moment!

Preston Can Fly!

Preston had a Preschool field trip to IFly last Thursday.  He was so excited and could hardly wait for his turn to fly!  He wasn't scared one bit!  He was the first one in his class to go and he did amazing!  I was so proud of him!  He was a natural.  I remember doing this field trip with Alivia 2 years ago, and it was just as fun!  We love teacher Brandi and will sure miss her when Preston goes to Kindergarten next year.  After the field trip, we ran some errands and grabbed lunch at Costco.  I love my little buddy!

Welcome Spring....oh, wait.

Wow, the weather last Monday was amazing!!! Preston and I spent over 2 hours at the park after preschool.  We met up with friends there and had lunch.  It was the perfect spring day.  Pie Day was Wednesday, and so we had Shepherds Pie for dinner and chocolate pie for dessert.  Yum!  Any reason for chocolate pie, right?  By Thursday, spring was gone and we got another taste of winter!  I had to drive to Preston's field trip in the SNOW!  Welcome to Utah!!

DanceSport at BYU

After my busy birthday, we went right back into the normal swing of things, including bell practice Friday morning and violin after school.  Saturday, Nick worked Saturday morning and we cleaned and played until Kaylee & I headed down to Provo after lunchtime with my friend Jeni DeVries to watch the BYU DanceSport Championship for Ballroom.  It was so fun!  We did some shopping on the way down and met up with Laura and her girls Kate & Ellie.  It was all totally worth staying there until after midnight watching all the awards being presented.  We got home and in bed by 2:30, but because of Daylight Savings, it was 3:30 and we had 9:00 church!  Let's just say I definitely got a nap that day!

Thirty {37} Seven

37!  Yes, you heard it right!  I am now 37!!  It is a weird age!  Still not super close to 40, but doesn't sound nearly as young as 36.  Either way, I am excited to see what 37 will bring!  I realized it was 25 years ago I celebrated my 12th birthday with a fun slumber party with my good friend Amanda Brugman (Nye).  Crazy to think it was that long ago!!  I remember it so well!  So this year for my Birthday, I planned a busy day!  Started out with choir in the morning before school where all 180+ kids sang Happy Birthday to me!  It was so cool!!!  I dropped Preston off to preschool and headed to the temple with Heather.  It was a BEAUTIFUL morning!!!  After the temple I was able to stop by Deseret Book and find me a new temple bag.  I found a cute gold one that looks way more modern than the old black computer bag I had been using the past 16 years!  I used some money Nick had given me specifically for my bday!!  (He also left a big bag of Reisens for me before he left for work that morning...he knows me well!).
After the temple, I met up with a big group of friends from the ward for lunch at Cafe Rio!  Yum!!!

I had gotten treats and presents dropped off to me randomly that day, including a package from my sisters Marisa & Tiffany.  They sent me Oreos and Chocolate!  They love me!
I also got an amazing gift from my friend Emily!  A cupcake pinata!  It was full of chocolate and she also gave me a gift card.  I have the most amazing friends!!!!
That night, we attended Carson's Orchestra concert and my mom met us there!  Carson did great on his Cello!!!  Afterward, we went to Wendy's for a late dinner and frosty!

It was an amazing day!  I knew it was a good one because I was exhausted by the time I got to bed!  Totally worth it though!!!!  Happy Birthday to Me!
