Christmas Morning!

The kids got up at 7 Christmas morning and were excited to go see what Santa brought!!!  We had them come into our room while we made sure it was all ready.  Every year gets more and more fun and the excitement was amazing!  We finally gave them the go ahead to head into the family room.

Preston had a tube of cars, Alivia a tube of Ponies, Kaylee a doll bed and Carson some legos!  They also got playdoh and a spiral graph!  They also got some bigger presents from us.  Carson got a crane that he had been begging for and Kaylee got an american girl doll.  She had wanted an American Girl doll for the longest time and it was hilarious to see her excitement when she opened it!

Preston got a tool kit and Alivia got a baby doll!

I got a fun surprise from Nick.  He got me a microwave for our pantry!  We had been talking about getting one so we have two of them.  So many times we have a line to use the microwave, especially on leftover nights, so we though it would be nice to have another one!  And it has been SO nice!!!

It was such a fun morning.  Probably the best Christmas yet.  We kept it more simple than in years past, but the kids were still spoiled and loved it all!!

Christmas Eve 2015

We had such a great Christmas Eve!  Each of the kids got to open a present, which was of course pajamas!

We attempted to take a picture of them in their pj's in front of the tree, but it was quite a challenge!!!

Santa stopped by sometime during the night and left some fun presents for the kids!

I loved having Christmas in our new house.  It was so much fun decorating it and getting ready for the big day!

Almost Christmas!

The kids only had school Monday and Tuesday the week of Christmas, so once they were out of school it was all play for them!  On Tuesday, we had more snow and Carson was awesome and helped a ton over the break to shovel all the snow we got.  The kids also had a Christmas Carol Sing-a-long on Tuesday morning.  I played the piano for some of the songs and it was a blast to get to go and see them participate in it.  It sure helped put everyone in the Holiday mood.  I also added some cute selfies Alivia took of herself.  She is so funny!

Alivia had a Christmas Program at Preschool on Tuesday and so Nick came home from work to go to that with her while I was at the elementary school.  I heard it was super cute (Sorry no pics).  That afternoon Alivia went to her Friend, Mercedez, Birthday party.  It was a tea party and she got to wear a dress and when she got home she looked even more adorable!
We received a handful of neighbor gifts and it was so fun getting to visit with them when they stopped by.  We seriously love where we live and have such great neighbors!
Alivia brought home a cute Elf on the Shelf of herself, so we added it to our own shelf.  It was adorable.  The last picture is of Preston doing his eyebrow since we were watching Tarzan and noticed the baby pulls kind of the same face when he first sees the mommy gorilla!  So funny!

On Thursday, Dawn brought her two kids up and we went tubing down our very own sledding hill the kids had made between our house and James' house.  It was a blast!

On Christmas Eve, we had dinner with the McConkies and then watched "No Ordinary Shepherd" before going home and getting ready for the big night!!  We love the McConkies and feel so blessed to get to be their friends and neighbors!

Gearing up for Christmas!

The week before Christmas was busy with concerts, music, piano lessons, and more.  Saturday night I got all the kids to bed and Preston insisted that he stay up and watch tv with his blanket, slippers and wafers.  I let him since he was just so cute about it and it wasn't more than about 5 minutes when I walked back in to find him asleep.  He must have been so tired because even the next day at Church he gave us all a wonderful Christmas Present and slept through Sacrament Meeting.  It was especially nice since it was the Christmas Program and the Choir was singing, the primary was singing and I had a solo and Kaylee had a solo.  It was nice not to have to worry about him and we could all just sit and enjoy the program.

That same evening, Kaylee sang at the Stake Music Devotional the same song she sang for Sacrament Meeting, Baby Jesus in a Manger.  She did so good singing in front of so many people!
The next morning I went to the school and played the piano for some of the grades when they sang their Christmas Songs for their parents.  I also went on Tuesday for the school sing along to play the piano as well.  It was fun to get to hear the kids sing in their classes and get to be a part of that.

We got a visit from Gma & Gpa Brower on Wednesday for dinner and some piano lessons.  Grandma has been so wonderful to come and teach piano to Carson and Kaylee until we can find a permanent teacher here in Pleasant View.

It was a fun way to start the week leading up to Christmas!
