IF Parade!

I got up super early (4:45 AM) on Friday morning after staying at my sisters house to attend a Jazzercise class that Marisa teaches.  It was a lot of fun and she does a great job being an instructor.  I wish I lived closer so I could attend more of her classes!  We got back and got everyone up and out the door to watch the parade in Idaho Falls by 9.  It wasn't too hot when we first got there, but by 10 o'clock it was pretty warm and the parade was only halfway over.  So by 10:30 we were hot and ready to cool down.  So we left a little early and headed to a convenient store who handed out free drinks and ice cream coupons to help us cool off before spending the rest of the day playing around in IF.  (See next post!)

I love this last picture of Alivia...it really shows just how cute and sweet she is.  I love her little face SOOOO much!!

PIzza Hut in Idaho!

Last Thursday, Nick didn't have to work since he had it off for Independence Day.  After swim lessons we took off to Idaho making a few stops on the way.  We pulled into Pocatello around dinner time so we stopped and enjoyed our favorite pizza hut.  But unlike Utah, Idaho Pizza Hut allows you to stay and eat inside.  The kids loved it and loved that they could have a salad bar with it.  It was a fun little stop before we made it to my Sister's in Ucon.  (Just north of Idaho Falls).

I love the dvd player in our van.  It makes road trips so much more enjoyable for the kids and quiet for Nick and I.  I loved how glued they were to it.  I think they were watching a disney sing a long dvd.  I am so grateful for technology!

More pictures found!

Here are even more pictures I found on Nick's phone.  This first one was the kids enjoying a coconut fruit bar in the jeep after scouts. Yum!
These next ones made me laugh!  Nick and the kids played at my moms house while I was doing the MS Bike Ride a few weeks ago and that included some costume dress up.  I guess they all found some old dance costumes and put on a show.  Oh Carson....he kills me.  Yes that is him in a leotard!

More pictures of the jeep and the fun we have at Lagoon about every Monday night!

The last picture is of Nick's toolbox at work.  I love that he has all of our pictures on there, but I think I need to get him some updated ones!

A little late...but still so much fun!

We went to Lagoon with Nick's parents and family clear back in the middle of June and all the pictures we took were with Nick's phone.  I just barely got them off his phone and just had to share some of the fun we had that day.  It is always fun when we get to share the Lagoon fun with Family!

This last picture shows how wet Papa got on Rattlesnake Rapids.  That was a fun one for everyone!

Hello July!!!!

Wow...I have a lot to catch up on!  We have just cruised through the first week of July!  And it was a busy week!  We started the week with a group lesson on Monday.  It was a lot of fun.  We played a couple theory games, learned about a composer (Aaron Copland), and then each of my students played a song they were working on.  I had Kaylee participate too.  Carson had been invited to Lagoon with a friend, so we missed having him there.  But since he technically isn't my student I figured it was ok.  We finished the class with some cookies.  All of my students so far this week have told me they are super excited for our next group lesson....so I think it was a hit!
We are still in the middle of swimming lessons and the kids are still loving it!
We also had Pack Meeting followed by a bike ride around the vacant lot.  We also enjoyed some yummy ice cream sandwiches which tasted delicious on a hot summer night.

We have been spending most Monday Evenings at Lagoon, taking full advantage of our season passes.  I love that our kids love Lagoon so much!  It has been totally worth getting our passes!
I took the girls in for a hair cut with Heather last week.  They both just needed a little trim. Heather has been doing my hair for at least 4 years and we just adore her.  She got married almost two years ago and is expecting a little boy in September.  We are so happy for her!

Kaylee had her last class of gymnastics on Wednesday.  My good friend Rachel Y. had been taking her since her kids were also in that class, but since I didn't have to teach piano or mow the lawn (we did that Tues Evening) I was able to go and watch for a bit.  She loves gymnastics and I think we will have her do that this fall instead of dance.

Wednesday, after lunch we headed to the splash pad with the Youngbergs and Tanners and enjoyed the hot day by cooling off in the water!  I am loving that Preston is finally getting old enough to really enjoy things like this.

Thursday, Nick was home (for the 4th) so I was able to get a run in with Rachel before I got ready for the day.  On the way to swim lessons we stopped at the ENT and had the audiologist fit Kaylee for some custom ear plugs.  She has been complaining about her ear hurting after she swims so I think these will help with that.  I just should have thought about them a few weeks BEFORE swim lessons.   Oh well!  It was pretty funny to see how they do it.  It looked like they squirted pink frosting in her ear.   Both Carson and I have a set of ear plugs as well and they work so much better than the silly putty stuff you buy.

So that was just the first part of our crazy week last week.  We wrapped up June and started of July with a LOT of FUN!!!
