That's a lot of wood!

While we were on our bike ride Thursday, Nick got a call that told him the wood for our shed was being delivered at that moment.  Since we weren't home and able to move the trailer like we were planning, we had to have them put the wood in the driveway.  So when we got home from our ride, we spent the next few hours moving the pile of wood to the backyard.  The kids were super excited to help and actually did a lot to help.  They did their best to move the pieces of wood anyway they could.  Preston supervised from the stroller.

It ended up being a pretty good evening with the kids.  They were great little helpers and we got to talk to a lot of neighbors who were out and about enjoying the nice weather.  It was wonderful!

Cell phone gallery

I probably need to download my cell phone pics weekly so I stay on top of them, but until then this is what you get.  A collage of random pictures from the past month.  Early in May the weather was super warm and so while Carson was at school one day, we got the water table out and let the kids play in the water.  Preston was happy to just chill on the blanket in the shade.

I have so many sleeping photos of Livy.  She is so stubborn and won't lay down in her bed for a nap, and most days she doesn't get a nap unless she falls asleep on her own watching tv or something.  So you will see several of random sleeping pictures of her because I think it is so cute when she does fall asleep during the day because most places are pretty funny!

We made cookies for National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.  They were pretty good.

Preston is on the move!  In the past week he has mastered the skill and we have officially gotten the stair gate out because of it.

We had Max and Clara over the other day, and they all had a blast on the piano.  They also had a dance party featuring Gangham style.  It was so hilarious to watch!

Look what you find when you totally take the crib bedding apart to change the height....you find all those binkies you swear you had and couldn't figure out where they had all gone!

We had a fun little jog/walk to the park the other morning and stopped to swing for a bit on our way home.

My new mothers day ring arrived last week before we left for Holden.  I love it!!  I found it online and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

I was loading pictures on FB of the reunion and I found this very interesting....each one of my kids faces were grouped as being tagged as one person.  Wow....they must all be related, huh?

Kaylee loves to draw and this was her alphabet and a picture of her that she drew.

 The of course, Alivia loves to draw as well.....we laughed since her drawing looked like her hair!  (Which was like that because she fell asleep on the chair and that is how it looked when she woke up!).

 Alivia is so funny....she loves to sit in this chair on her head.  Is that normal or should I be concerned?! :)

Thursday, Nick made arrangements for a sitter so we could go on a bike ride after he got home from work.  We went 15 miles and made it back in time for dinner and to move a pile of wood (see future post).

Happy School Birthday Carson!

Since Carson's birthday is in July, we get to celebrate it early in school so he can have a chance to share a treat with his class.  We decided on donuts this year and they were a hit.  Carson had fun sharing them with his class and wearing the fun Birthday Hat!  I had to bring all the kids with me, but the girls had a blast being there and having a donut too!

Happy Early Birthday.  I can't believe that in just a couple of months he will be 8 and baptized!  We are all excited!

Memorial Day 2013

We made it back from Holden Sunday night, specifically so we could participate in the Woods Cross City Memorial Day Celebration.  It started with a 5k Run that morning at 7.  I took Carson and Kaylee with me.  I ran, and they rode their bikes.  We got there just as they started the race, so we got a little bit of a delayed start and I was about .08 miles short of the 5K, but it was still fun.  I had my fastest time yet for that distance.  I ran 3.02 miles in 25:13.  I was happy with that.  The kids had fun riding their bikes and rode through every water puddle they could find, which resulted in very muddy backs.

After the race, we went home and got dad and the babies.  We headed back to the park for a breakfast.  It was yummy!  And if you participated in the race it was free, and $1 for anyone else.  It was a LONG line, but eventually we got our plates and enjoyed some breakfast!

 Then we enjoyed listening to the pipe band play and Aliva couldn't help but dance while she listened to them.  It was so cute!

I headed back home to put Preston down for a nap and to teach one piano lesson.  So Nick and the kids stayed at the park a bit longer to play and check out the life flight helicopter that was there.

 We spent the rest of the day cleaning out the trailer and doing laundry.  For dinner, Uncle Chris and his friend Kayla stopped by and ate with us.  We did grilled chicken, potato salad, chips, and watermelon. It was yummy!

Such a fun day!  I am so grateful for all the serviceman who have sacrificed for our country so we are all able to enjoy such a fun day like this!
