This past summer we have really enjoyed having season passes to Lagoon. We went a few dozen times and the kids just love the rides! Now that it is a little cooler and school has started the end of the Lagoon season is almost here. But right now they have
Frightmares, so they are only open on the weekends. They were also open over
UEA weekend, so on Friday we decided to spend a few hours at Lagoon to get our fill before it closes. We have never been to Lagoon during
Frightmares. There aren't too many changes, other than all the fun Halloween decor and the spook and fun houses they add. In place of the small kiddie bumper cars, there is a
walk through fun house for the little kids. They have about 6 or 7 little rooms that you walk through and they have a lot to look at like a crazy scientist, jungle, pumpkin patch, witches kitchen, castle, pet store, and pirates treasure room. In each room they give the kids a treat or prize before going onto the next room. I was quite impressed! I didn't know they had stuff like that! It was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect, even a little cool, so we wore light jackets. Here are just a few pictures of the fun...

We are going to try and go a few more times before October is over and they are closed for the season. We will miss Lagoon during the winter but I guess we will just have to find another activity we can do as a family to keep us entertained. One of the things we like to do when the weather is cold is bake! We made a few batches of cinnamon rolls this week, and then for Conference today, we continued with a tradition of making Conference Cakes. They were yummy! Carson & Kaylee helped me roll out the dough, and I gave them each a piece to play with....can you tell what Kaylee did with hers?

My brother Chris stayed with us last night after Nick and him went to the priesthood session with our neighbor Ike. So it was fun to have him with us today as we ate the conference cakes. We even had our good friends the
McKays come and watch conference with us this morning and help us eat the
conf cakes too. I love conference weekend. Nice and relaxing and you get to listen to the prophet!
