Girl's Weekend

The kids had Friday off from school since it was end of term Thursday and so with Human Right's day on Monday, we had a long weekend!  Nick took the kids to Holden Friday night so Carson could take his Hunter's Safety with the cousins.  He was so excited and had the most amazing time!  That is just something he loves and it was fun to see him so happy!  I had to stay in town so I could direct the ward choir on Sunday, and Kaylee and I had also been asked to sing "A Child's Prayer" in Primary.  So it was a great reason to stay and have just a girl's weekend with the two of us.  We went to the play "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the Centerpointe Theatre.  Nick and I bought season tickets (Along with my parents who got some as a gift from all of us kids) but since it was a last minute trip to Holden, Kaylee made a great substitute date.  We drove with my parents and enjoyed dinner at Zupas before the show.  Yum!  The show was great and Kaylee really liked it.  She really liked the main character 'Scout'.  She is 14 years old, but Kaylee is just as tall!

Kaylee can be so funny, especially when she is tired!  We had a good time playing with Preston's magnetic balls.  They stick to the wall!!!

We slept in just a little on Saturday, got in a good work out and then met up with Melissa and Connie and kids for the matinee of the "Greatest Showman Sing-along".  It was so fun!!!!

We did some shopping, but didn't find anything we were looking for.  But we did enjoy some yummy fries at Jumbo Burger!  We got home and had a quiet evening watching tv and doing our nails with the gel nail set we got for Christmas!  So fun!!!!  I love this girl so much!  We have a lot in common so it makes hanging out with her so enjoyable!
