Sunday Sandwiches

Last Friday, we went to Logan in the morning to watch Madison's game.  They lost, but it was fun seeing her in action!  It was also fun to see family!
On Friday evening, Chris & Krissy and Matt's family came over to start roofing the house.  We also had dinner and enjoyed snuggling with Baby Emery!  Carson had lost his retainer when he had stood up from dinner.  We assumed it fell in between the deck slots but had a hard time seeing it.  So after removing a board, we spotted it and got it all cleaned up.  It was quite an ordeal though!

On Saturday, Chris came over and between the two of us, we continued roofing the house until Nick and Grandpa got home to help.  Krissy was amazing with the kids and not only took them to King's for free hotdogs and drinks, but also made the yummiest homemade oreo cookies with the little kids.  She is seriously the best!
We got the roof all shingled by Saturday night right before dark.  It was a lot of work, but we are all happy it is done!  We got up for church early and enjoyed our new ward again.  After church, they pulled us into the bishops office to visit and extended me a new calling.  I will be the primary chorister!  I was pleasantly surprised about the calling, but I am excited!  It should be fun.  This primary is much smaller, so it will be a little different then what I am used to!  After church, we headed to the house to see the progress with paint and finish work.

After the house, we stopped by a park to each our lunch.  We have learned that we need to pack sandwiches for lunch so we can eat and not have to hold off until 2 when we get home.  So much easier this way and everyone stays happier too.
