Double Digits

It is hard to believe that Carson is now 10!!!  He is now in the double digits!  I can't believe it was a decade ago that he made me a mom!  He is such a wonderful son and such a sweetheart.  He is very passionate about things and has always put 100% into everything he does.  He is a good helper and is always willing to jump right into projects and help out.  That includes moving, roofing a house, mowing the lawn, putting together the stage for the play, and anything else we may be doing.  He loves to be involved and enjoys serving other people.  Like any typical child, he does argue and fight with his siblings, yet he also can be so gentle and sweet with them.  He isn't one to sit and play video games all day, he would rather be outside riding his bike, climbing trees, and building forts and box robots.  He really is such a delight and we are so blessed to have him in our family!  He was excited when I told him we booked the Park City getaway on his Bday so we we could use that as an excuse to celebrate!  So we woke up that morning and opened gifts and had breakfast on the patio.  He got a handful of things he specifically asked for, like a helmet, tie, jacket, and a Green Machine.  He was very excited about that!  You should have seen us bringing that into the hotel!

After we got ready for the day and checked out of the hotel, we met up with Dawn and her family and had lunch at Costco.  The plan was to spend the afternoon at Lagoon.  It was a warm day, but still a lot of fun and they really enjoyed going on rattlesnake rapids to cool off!

After Lagoon, our family went to Farmington station for dinner and a car show.   Carson requested that we eat at Johnny Rocket's for dinner and it was awesome since they did a great job singing to him with the "short" version of Happy Birthday.  (Yes, the waiters were on their knees!)

We walked around the car show for a bit, but I was exhausted and was eager to be done and head home.

It was a FULL and FUN day celebrating Carson's birthday.  I think he enjoyed it and it was just so nice being together as a family!  I am so excited for the things Carson gets to do this year being 10.  He starts the 5th grade this fall and he goes to Webelos Day Camp next week.  This is going to be a great year for him!
